Billy Brewer
DARDANELLE - Billy Dwayne Brewer, age 74, of St. Louis, Mo., died Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2010, at Community Care Center.
He was born
Jan. 31, 1936, at Danville to Oliver Eugene Brewer and Allie May Cripps. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Harold, Eugene and Leon Brewer.
Survivors include his wife, Joy Brewer of St. Louis, Mo.; two sons and a daughter, Dewayne Brewer, Ronald Brewer and Janice Simpson, all of St. Louis, Mo.; brother, Ray Brewer of Cahokia, Ill.; sister, Kay Warren of Alma; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. today at Lower Spring Creek Cemetery
in Belleville with Bro. John McCourt officiating. Arrangements are Cornwell Funeral Home.
Anne Hefley
Anne Louise (Weegie) Heffley, 59, of Conway was born
in Deer, Arkansas to the late Benjamin Franklin Wagler and Marjorie Julia (Hogate) Wagler. She passed away Thursday morning at the Arkansas Hospice Center in Little Rock, surrounded by her family members.
Anne loved reading, fishing, writing poems, and maintaining the family history with photos. She also was a great animal lover and over the years had many cats, dogs and birds that she loved.
Anne leaves behind two children, Luke Eugene Heffley and his wife Joanne of Russellville, and Megan Jane Allen and her husband Michael of Conway; three granddaughters, Lincoln, Reagan and McKinley of Russellville; two brothers, David Wagler of Sacramento, Calif., and Harry Wagler of Citrus Heights, Calif.; three sisters, Betty Bell of Lake View, Ore., Judy Souza of Modesto, Calif., Jeane Sutton of Pinole, Calif., and numerous nieces and nephews.
Anne was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Margie Ann and two brothers, Don and Bill Wagler.
Donations may be made in Anne’s name to Arkansas Hospice.
The family will receive friends today from 4-6 p.m. at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Conway.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 18 at Lurton Assembly of God Church in Lurton, with Stanley Taylor officiating. Interment
will follow at Deer Cemetery
in Deer, with Michael Allen, Tom Bolling, John Davis, Travis Heffley, Ben Wagler and David Wagler Jr. serving as pallbearers.
Bruce Jackson
Bruce Howard Jackson, 60, died Saturday, Oct. 16, 2010, at the River Valley Medical Center in Dardanelle.

Sharon Riley, 62, of Hector died Saturday, Oct. 16, 2010, at Saint Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Russellville. Arrangements are under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service.
Jamie Alleene Sewell
Alleene Sewell, 96, a resident of Fountain Valley, Calif., passed away Thursday, Sept. 9, 2010, at Fountain Valley where she had lived since April 2006, after moving from Oklahoma City, Okla.
She was born
Nov. 11, 1913, at Dover, a daughter of James Yancy “Dude” and Grace Lano Kirksey Poynter. She had been a member of Saint Luke’s United Methodist Church in Oklahoma City for more than 50 years and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, and will be greatly missed. Her greatest joys were her family, friends, church and garden club activities. She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Raymond Russell “Shorty” Sewell; two brothers, Y. B. Poynter and James Yancy Poynter Jr.; and two sisters, Roberta Sleeper and Ann Harrington.
She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Ramona and Harold Richardson of Atlanta, Ga., and Martha Grace “Marty” Earlabaugh of Huntington Beach, Calif.; two grandsons, Blake Richardson of Atlanta, and Jade Russell Earlabaugh and his wife, Susan, of Newport Beach, Calif.; a great-grandson, Caleb Louis Earlabaugh of Newport Beach; a sister, Estelle Colburn of Des Plains, Ill.; a brother and sister-in-law, C. L. and Bette Poynter of Dover; and many nephews and nieces.
A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 18, 2010, at the Dover United Methodist Church with the Rev. Phillip C. Collie II officiating. Burial will be private in McFadden Cemetery
at Dover.
The family will receive friends immediately following the memorial service in the fellowship hall of the church.
Qunnen Tomlinson
Qunnen “Slim” Daniel Tomlinson, 63, of Ozone died Oct. 16, 2010 at his home.
He was born
Sept. 18, 1947, in Harrisonburg, La., and was an Army veteran and a logger. He was preceded in death by Harlard Clarence Tomlinson.
Survivors include his wife, Jo Leona Coates Tomlinson of Hartman; companion/fiancee, Tammy Jo Mooney of Ozone; daughter Yona French of Salus; sons Albert Tomlinson of Hartman, C.H. Tomlinson of Fort Smith and Carl Daniel Tomlinson of Salus; parents, Albert Milton and Alean Townson Tomlinson of Louisiana; sisters, Meanlen Butler of Louisiana and Voilet Gale Salus of Ozark; and brother, Clarence Wesley Tomlinson of Louisiana.
The body will be cremated, and there will be no service at this time.
Arrangements are by Roller-Cox Funeral Home, Clarksville.
Mozelle Beckham
Mozelle Beckham, 76, a resident of Russellville, died Friday, Oct. 15, 2010, at Saint Mary’s Regional Medical Center.
She was born
May 4, 1934, at Saint Joseph, La., to James Lee and Estelle Houston Cowan. She was a member of Saint John’s Catholic Church, and her passion was reading and gardening. She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant sister, Faye Dean Cowan.
Survivors include her husband of 18 years, Robert Beckham of Russellville; two sons, Nicholas Balkman of Little Rock and James Warren of Dardanelle; four daughters and sons-in-law, Amy and Seth Cottingham of London, Alicia and Gary Pierson of Cumming, Ga., Angie and Michael Frizzell of Cabot, and Melody and Art Sabatinelli of Lutz, Fla.; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Philip and Sabina Neal of Canyon Lake, Texas, and Perry and Debbie Neal of Cave Creek, Ariz.; a sister and brother-in-law, Maydelle and W. C. White of Clarksville; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
The funeral will take place at 2 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 18, 2010, at Shinn Chapel with the Rev. Daniel Green officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery
at Russellville under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service.
Pallbearers will be Jacob Pyles, Seth Cottingham, Garth Childress, Chris Hoing, Chris Beckman and John Beckman.
Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Johnathon Fields
Johnathon Wesley Fields, 25, of Russellville died Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2010, at his home.
The son of Wesley and Shirley Black Fields, he was born
June 17, 1985, in Charleston, S.C. He was a mechanic and enjoyed working on automobiles with his father and uncle Larry. Johnathon liked working in horticulture. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Rose and Eugene Fields.
Family members left to cherish his memory are parents, Wesley and Shirley Fields of Russellville; two sons, Tristen Fields of Atkins and Isaac Fields of Russellville; sister, Stephanie Bristal and husband, Joshua, of Virginia Beach, Va.; brother, Joseph Fields of Charleston, S.C.; twin sister, Samantha Berry and husband, Johnathon, of Russellville; maternal grandmother, Priscilla Ogburn and husband, William, of Charleston, S.C.; maternal grandfather, Joe Black of Madisonville, Texas; nieces, Grace Berry, Shannon Lathom and Kylee Bristol; nephews, Dylan Lathom and Zachariah Bristol; and fiancée, Crystal Crouch and son, Treyton Mashburn, of Russellville.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. today at Bible Baptist Church in Russellville. Burial will be at Rest Haven Memorial Park in Russellville by Humphrey Funeral Service.
Chuck Haston
DARDANELLE - Nathaniel Halbert Haston Jr., 64, of Dardanelle died Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2010, at River Valley Medical Center.
He was born
Dec. 15, 1945, at Turlock, Calif., to Nathaniel Halbert Haston Sr. and Lillie Ann Millard. He was a member of the Old Highway 7 Church of Christ. He loved playing his guitar, music, art and especially golf. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lillie Ann Haston; and a son, Brian David Haston.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy Haston of Dardanelle; a son, Aaron Haston and wife, Sarah, of Dardanelle; a sister, Deborah Haston of Tulare, Calif.; six grandchildren, Brian Haston, Britteny Haston of Dardanelle, Kimbi Haston and Dalton Haston of Russellville, and Katrina Jackson and Wyatt Jackson of Dardanelle; and a great-grandson, Dayton Niswonger of Dardanelle.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. today at Cornwell Chapel with Chris Terrell officiating. Burial will be in Brearley Cemetery. Arrangements are by Cornwell Funeral Home.
Pallbearers include Shawn Pless, Donnie Parker, James Parker, Trent Dann, Wesley Davis and Jason Denney.
Honorary pallbearers will be Frank Lakin, Larry Ewing, Charles Tharp, Bob Crow, Keith Millard and employees of Dardanelle Hospital.
