Rita Marie Pozzi Kyle (Dee-Dee)
Rita Marie Pozzi Kyle (Dee-Dee) passed away July 3, 2003. Mrs. Kyle was born
May 22, 1913, in Atlantic City, New Jersey, and was a devoted Catholic. She was educated in Philadelphia where she attended Mater Misericordia Academy through finishing school and received a registered nursing certificate from Misericordia Hospital in 1936. In 1941 she married
Slater George Kyle who passed away in Hot Springs in 1959. As a single parent with 5 children, ranging in age from 13 months to 11 years, she stressed to them the importance of education, herself returning to college and earning a Bachelor's degree with honors from the University of Texas at Dallas at the age of 65. All five of her children graduated from college and four obtained post graduate degrees.
Her children, Dolly Kyle Browning (Robert) of Dallas, Walter Kyle (Deirdre) of West Barnstable, Massachusetts, Bill Kyle of Little Rock, Rick Kyle (Catherine) of Rogers, and Dorcy Kyle Corbin (Justice Don) of Little Rock survive her. Dee-Dee is also survived by her grandchildren, Paula Hastings, Teresa Hastings Keathley, Leesa Hastings Watkins, Anthony Pearson; Robert, Tori, and Ryan Kyle; Stephanie and JoAnna Kyle; Elizabeth Kyle; Kyle, Jennifer, Allison, Slater, and Ashley Corbin. One great-grandson, Collier Scott Watkins, also survives her.
There will be a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Monday at the Ruebel Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Cathedral of Saint Andrew in Little Rock with Monsignors Scott Marczuk and David LeSieur officiating. Burial will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Calvary Cemetery
in Hot Springs. Arrangements are under the direction of Ruebel Funeral Home.

Warren Thomas King
Warren Thomas King, age 76, of Little Rock, died Tuesday, November 11, 2003 at the UAMS Medical Center. He was the husband of Margaret G. King. Mr. King was born
January 16, 1927, the son of the late Lydia Hoed King. He was a veteran of the Army during WWII and a 1952 graduate of Yale College, New Haven, CT. He was an active member of the Christ Lutheran Church and sang in the choir. For the last 30 years, he worked for Electrolux where he served as a branch manager and sales representative throughout central Arkansas.
Survivors include his wife and three sons; Roger King of Larchmont, NY, Lewis King of Norwalk, CT and Andrew King of Salt Lake City, UT. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren; Sara and Julia of Larchmont and Andrew and Gracen of Norwalk.
A Christian funeral service will be held Monday, 10am, November 17 at Christ Lutheran Church, 315 S. Hughes Street, Little Rock with burial immediately following at Pinecrest Memorial Park, Alexander. The family will receive friends at Ruebel Funeral Home, 6313 West Markham Street, on Sunday, November 16 from 1-3pm. Arrangements are by Ruebel Funeral Home.
Merlin Joe Kilbury
Merlin Joe Kilbury, M.D. of Bigelow, Arkansas, died Friday, January 10, 2003.
He was born
in Little Rock where he graduated from Little Rock High School.
He later graduated 3rd in his class at Vanderbilt University and graduated from the University of Arkansas Medical Sciences Center in 1945, serving his internship at St. Vincent Infirmary.
He entered the service serving in the U.S. Army as an officer in the Far East.
He returned to be Assistant Resident of Surgery at Barnes Hospital from 1951-52, and Co-Resident in surgery from 1952-53.
He was a member of the American Board of Surgery Fellow, the Pulaski County Medical Assistant Society Boss of The Year in 1971, Chairman of the Regional Advisory Group in 1972, and from 1978 thru 1990 served as Chief Medical Officer at the Little Rock Military Processing Station.
Merlin was a member of Trinity Episcopal Cathedral where he served on the Vestry and also in the position of Senior Warden, and he was the President of the American Cancer Society of Arkansas Division from 1965, 66, 67.
Merlin was a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity and during his college years a Southwest Champion handball player.
He is survived by his wife Patsy May Kilbury of Bigelow, three sons Merlin Joe Kilbury, III and wife Diane of Tulsa, Robert Farabee Kilbury and wife Gale of Sherman, Illinois, David Graham Kilbury and wife Brenda of Little Rock, two daughters; Julie Hawkins and husband Carroll of Little Rock, Stella Mullins and husband Ronnie of Morrilton, Arkansas, 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
There will be visitation Sunday from 2 to 4 P.M. at Ruebel Funeral Home, followed Monday with 11:00 A.M. funeral service at the funeral home chapel officiated by The very Reverend Henry Hudson.
Memorials in lieu of flowers should be made to Trinity Episcopal Cathedral.
Herbert Alfred Kiecker
Herbert Alfred Kiecker, age 81, of Little Rock, died July 24, 2003. Mr. Kiecker was born
May 31, 1918 in Rochester, Minnesota. He served in the U.S. Army in the European Theatre during World War II. Returning to Minnesota he obtained a teaching position in ice-skating in Akron, Ohio for 2 years. In 1940 he began working for Prudential Insurance Company holding numerous positions before his retirement in 1976.
One sister Margaret Walczak of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and several nieces and nephews survive him.

Ruby C. Mohr
Ruby C. Mohr, 94, of Evanston, IL, died on April 23, 2003, buried
April 30, 2003 at Roselawn Cemetery, Little Rock, AR. Widow of Clarence A. Mohr, daughter of the late Eugene A. and H. Louise Callahan of Carlisle, AR. She is survived by her son, Eugene M. Mohr, of Yorktown Heights, NY.

Ruth Bledsoe Miller
Ruth Bledsoe Miller, of Little Rock, passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2003. She was born
on June 4, 1920, in Arkadelphia, to John D. and Rosa Terrell Bledsoe. She lived most of her life in McGehee, where she was a teacher and school librarian. She retired from the State Library Commission for the Blind in Little Rock. She was a member of Westover Hills Presbyterian Church where she served as an Elder and Moderator of Cluster Presbyterian Women. She was the State PTA President in 1953 and a past president of Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority of professional women. She was Arkansas Mother of the Year in 1996. After retiring she spent her time volunteering, traveling and enjoying her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Harvey M. Miller of MeGehee, preceded Ruth in death. She is survived by three children: her son, Richard H. Miller of Little Rock, and daughters Rose Ann Miller Scheiderer of Forrest City, and Johnni Miller Huckabee of Hot Springs. Her sister Alice Wilson of Waco, Texas, and one brother, Winburn Bledsoe of Tyler, Texas, also remain, as well as eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday at 9:30 am at Ruebel Funeral Home, with services to follow at 10 am. Burial will be at 2:30pm Friday, February 28, at McGehee Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Arkansas Hospice and the Alzheimer’s Association.
George Robert Miller
George Robert (Bob) Miller, 75, died September 23, 2003, at the Arkansas Veterans Home in Little Rock. He lived most of his life in Little Rock. He was a Navy veteran of WWII. Mr. Miller graduated from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville where he was a member of SAE fraternity and Theta Tau engineering fraternity. He held positions with IBM and with Schlumberger Well Services before returning to Little Rock in 1968 when he opened Arkansas Rental Center.
Mr. Miller was a member of First United Methodist Church of Little Rock, a member of the Country Club of Little Rock, and a member of the Red, White and Blue Investment Club. In 1976 he suffered a severe stroke which limited his activities in future years. He became a resident of the Veterans Home in 1993. We are grateful for the kindness shown to him for all these years by the staff at the Home.
He is survived by two daughters, Nancy Witkowski of Washington, and Cindy Duggan of California; two grandchildren, Bradley Hamilton and Sara Hamilton; and one great-grandson, Nathaniel. He is also survived by a sister, Carol Becknell of Maryland.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 3, 2003, at 1:00 p.m. at the Arkansas Veterans Home, 4701 W. 20th Street in Little Rock.

Alice Lucille Purifoy Miller
Alice Lucille Purifoy Miller, 96, of Little Rock died Saturday, December 27, 2003 in Beaumont, Texas. She was born
in Holland, AR to Richard and Sara Lou Parsons Purifoy. After graduation from high school and business school she soon went to work for Ottenheimer Clothing Manufacturing where she was employed for over 20 years. She was of the Methodist faith. Alice was married
to Odes Bailey Robertson, Sr. who predeceased her on April 22, 1944. She was then married
to Clyde Miller who predeceased her in September of 1985.
She was also predeceased by her four children, Odes Bailey Robertson, Jr. Alice Ann Kelly, Helen Monk and Rose Marie Lindsey, and six brothers and sisters. She is survived by 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday in Roselawn Memorial Park officiated by Rev. Lynn Lindsey Arrangements are by Ruebel Funeral Home.
D.C. " Peck" Ellis
D.C. " Peck" Ellis, age 77, of Little Rock died on March 16, 2004. He was born
on August 25, 1926 in Little Rock, to the late George and Emma Grace Ellis. Mr. Ellis was The Founding and Senior Partner of Ellis, Tucker and Aldridge, Certified Public Accounting Firm. He was a member of St. James United Methodist Church. Mr. Ellis was a Veteran of WWII. He was an avid golfer, tennis player, and enjoyed jazz music.
His first wife Joan Ellis and daughter Judy Ellis Eichenbaum preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife Emma Sue Ellis; two children, George Ellis and his wife Selena of Benton, and Jane Ellis Puckett and her husband Larry of Maumelle; six grandchildren, John Sullivan of Flower Mound, TX, Marcy McKenzie of North Little Rock, Ashley Paladino of Maumelle, John Andrew Ellis of Benton, Beth Ellis Dickson of Urbana, IL and Lauren Puckett of Maumelle. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be at 2:00 PM Friday, March 19, 2004 in the Chapel of Ruebel Funeral Home. Interment
will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM Thursday evening at the Funeral Home.
