Sanford Richard "Dick" Weinberger

Sanford Richard "Dick" Weinberger, age 80, of Little Rock, died icon April 18th, 2003. He was a WWII veteran, where he served as a paratrooper for the 17th Airborne Division.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Weinberger. He is survived by his children;, Lyn Willbanks, Susan Gray, Janie Fenton, and Jeff Weinberger; one brother, Robert Weinberger; one sister, Dottie Kind and 6 grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 am Tuesday at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery icon in North Little Rock with Chaplain Silas E. Redd officiating. Arrangements by Ruebel Funeral Home.

Pattie Virginia Polk Turner

Pattie Virginia Polk Turner, 93 of Little Rock died icon Wednesday, July, 16, 2003. She was born icon on May 26, 1910 in Union City, TN and in 1941 she and Herbert C. Turner were married. Pattie was retired from the florist business having worked for over 40 years for Colonial Flower Shop. She taught Sunday School for many years at First Presbyterian Church and was currently a member of Westover Hills Presbyterian Church where she received an Honorary Lifetime Membership for Presbyterian Women.

She is survived by her husband, a daughter Betty Glenn and her husband Carl, of Little Rock, a granddaughter, Sharon Boyd and her husband Patrick, two great-granddaughters, Erin and Ashlyn Boyd, one sister, Mary Vest of Van Buren, and several nieces and nephews.

A Time of Remembrance and visitation will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday in the Chapel of Westover Hills Presbyterian Church, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Westover Hills Presbyterian Church. The burial will take place prior to the service at 10:00 a.m. in Roselawn Memorial Park.

Memorials may be made to Westover Hills Presbyterian Church Music Program or to Arkansas Hospice. Arrangements are by Ruebel Funeral Home.

Howard Lionel Bishop

Howard Lionel Bishop, 67, of Little Rock, died icon October 11, 2004. He was born icon July 12, 1937 in Bigelow, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his parents Mada and Lionel Bishop.

Howard lived a life of courage and dignity as he battled his lifelong disability of Cerebral Palsy. He was a Christian and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He will be greatly missed by his family and his friends at the United Cerebral Palsy Adult Center.

In addition to his parents Mr. Bishop is preceded in death by his sister, Cheryl Jane Bishop. He is survived by his sister, Bonnie Holmes and her husband Tom Holmes. He is also survived by his three nephews; Wes Holmes and his wife Madelyn and their children Allie, Thomas and Layne all of Dallas, Texas, Boyce Holmes and his wife Robin, and Taylor Holmes all of Little Rock. Howard is also survived by his extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 13, 2004 in the Chapel of Ruebel Funeral Home conducted by Reverend Mark DeYmaz and Dr. Harry Li. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the United Cerebral Palsy Adult Center, 10400 West 36th, Little Rock, Ar. 72204, or to the Mosaic Church of Central Arkansas, 6420 Colonel Glenn Road, Little Rock, Arkansas 72204.

Joseph Bilheimer

Joseph Lemuel Bilheimer, Sr., 95, of Little Rock, died icon Thursday, June 10, 2004. He was born icon December 22, 1908, in Little Rock to the late Josiah H. and Bernice Ione Allen Bilheimer. He had been a member of the Second Baptist Church for 85 years and was a member of the Brooks Hays Bible Class.

Survivors are a son, Joseph Lemuel Bilheimer, Jr. and wife Janie of Fort Worth, TX, two grandsons, one granddaughter, and three great-granddaughters.

Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Monday, June 14, 2004 at Pinecrest Memorial Park under the direction of Ruebel Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to Second Baptist Church, charity of the donor's choice or the Pulaski County Humane Society.

Jackson "Jack" A. Barton

Jackson "Jack" Alfred Barton, 86, of Little Rock, passed away on Thursday, October 21, 2004 at his home. He was born icon in Hamburg on January 27, 1918 to the late Cephas and Mary Aiken Barton. He was a member of the Park Plaza Mall Walking Group, the Exercise Class at St. Vincent's, and attended St. Paul United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ruth MacGrude Barton, who died icon in 2000; brothers, Arthur Barton, John Barton, Edward Barton, and Cephas Barton; and a sister, Agnes Ogles. Survivors include a son, Darrell W. Barton of Edmond, Oklahoma; sisters, Venie Flarety and Pauline Johnson, both of Little Rock, and Mary Cornwell of Orlando, Florida; grandchildren, Dr. Carrie Barton of Grove, Oklahoma and Jackson Marshall Barton of Edmond, Oklahoma.

Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Ruebel Funeral Home. Funeral services are 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 25, 2004 in the Chapel of Ruebel Funeral Home with Rev. John Fleming officiating. Burial will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Park.

Lucille Ball

Lucille Jeter Ball of Little Rock, died icon at her home on October 11, 2004. She was born icon August 13, 1904, at Bellefonte, AR, the daughter of William and Mary Jeter, now both deceased.

She was a retired public school teacher, having taught for many years, first in Nashville, AR, and later in Little Rock. She was very active in her profession, serving as president of the Little Rock Classroom Teachers Association and on several committees of the National Education Association. She graduated from Harrison High School and from Hendrix College, and received a master's degree in education from the University of Arkansas.

She was a devoted member of the Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church and taught there in adult Sunday School until recent years.

She was married icon to William P. Ball, former Director of the Arkansas Board of Pardons, Paroles and Probation, who died icon in 1973. Born of this union were two sons who survive her, William K. Ball and his wife, Hubby of Monticello, AR, and Don Ball and his wife, Doris of Ballwin, MO. Also surviving are her sisters, Dorothy Robinson of Little Rock and Madeline Paddock of Lexington, KY, and five grandchildren, Lucy Jane Ball of New Orleans, Ramsay Ball and Dr. Charles Ball, both of Fayetteville, Tracy Reeves and Brooks Ball both of the St. Louis area. In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by a brother, Lewis Jeter.

The family wishes to express its appreciation for the services rendered by Kay Munnerlyn and other caregivers, Dr. Thomas Eans and by Baptist Health Hospice.

A family visitation will be held at her home in Little Rock from 9:30 - 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 14, immediately followed by an 11:30 a.m. graveside service at Pinecrest Memorial Park on State Hwy 5 near Bryant. Memorials may be made to Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church, 4823 Woodlawn, Little Rock, AR 72205, Heifer International, P. O. Box 8058, Little Rock, AR 72203, or to a charity of one's choice.

John J. Baldwin

John J. Baldwin, 84, of Little Rock, died icon Wednesday, April 14, 2004. He was born icon November 13, 1919, in Albion, MI, to the late Joseph A. and Irene McCall Baldwin. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Howard Baldwin, and one granddaughter, Randi Ann Adney.

Mr. Baldwin served his country in World War II and was a captain in the Army Air Force. He received a master's degree in forestry and was retired from Hartzells Industries. He was a member of Sigma Nu. He loved to play golf and he kept his mind sharp by working crossword puzzles.

He was a devoted husband is survived by his wife of 55 years, Nancy Baldwin; four daughters, Dr. Jeanne Murphy of Little Rock, Jan Adney and her husband Randy of Benton, Jo-Jo Baldwin of Little Rock, and Jane Baldwin of Little Rock; two grandchildren, Natalie and Hannah Murphy; one sister, Maryanna Baldwin of Dearborn, MI; and his beloved dog, Margie B.

Private memorial services were held with Rev. Victor Green officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to be made to the Randi Ann Adney Memorial Scholarship, Malvern National Bank, or charity of the donors choice.

Shannon Michelle Ryan Baker

Shannon Michelle Ryan Baker, Beloved wife, daughter, mother, and sister, age 32, of Little Rock, died icon November 12, 2004 in Fayetteville. She was born icon on May 15, 1972 in Little Rock to Kathy " Ryan " Robertson and the late Robert Marion Ryan.

Shannon graduated from Hall High School in Little Rock in 1990. She was employed by Service Communications and Wireless in Springdale, AR. Shannon was a member of the Temple Baptist Church in Little Rock.

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Marion Ryan and her grandparents, Lena and Don Blackburn. Shannon is survived by her husband, Joe Baker of Lowell, AR; her stepchildren, Stormy Baker and Jackson Baker of Lowell, AR; her parents, Kathy "Ryan" Robertson and her husband Keith Robertson of Roland; brother, Lt. Aric Aghayan, MD of Kansas City, MO ( currently stationed in Iraq ); half sister, Kimberly Ryan of Little Rock; and grandparents, Maxine and Bill Robertson of Hensley, AR.

A celebration of Shannon's life will be held in the chapel of Ruebel Funeral Home on Saturday at 1:00 PM with Chaplain Kathy Kaczmarek officiating. Memorials may be made to the Arkansas Hospice, the Pulaski County Humane Society or to the charity of one's choice. The family will be at 20705 Presley Drive, Roland, AR

Rest in peace sweet child. We will for ever miss you and hold you close to our hearts.
