May 23, 1914 in Corsicana, Texas, to Dr. John Thomas Hunt and Irene Hopkins Hunt. She was a talented homemaker, a devoted wife, and a loving mother. Dorothy Jean was a faithful devout Christian and a member of Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church since 1948. She was a dedicated member of the Butler Sunday school class. She shared her gifts and service as a Children's division teacher, a pianist, an administrative leader, a member of the Society of St. Steven and the United Methodist Women.
Her husband of 57 years, Neil M. Slayden, a daughter, Janeil Wright, a brother, John T. Hunt, and her parents preceded her in death. A daughter, Irene Clark and husband James of Conway, two sons, Joseph N. Slayden and wife Pat of Hot Springs, Preston H. Slayden and wife Karen of Maumelle, four grandsons, Jimmy and Kenneth Clark, Jonathan and Todd Slayden, two great-grandsons, Dax and Cole Clark survive her.
The funeral service will be at Ruebel Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 6, 2004 at 11 a.m. The family will receive friends at Ruebel's one hour prior to the service. Interment
will follow at Gracelawn Cemetery
in Tuckerman, AR.
Memorials may be made to Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church.

Eloise Bailey McCombs
Mary Gault Sinclair, 89, of Little Rock, and widow of C. A. Swann Sinclair died Tuesday, January 20, 2004. She was born
in Danville, AR, to Joseph D. and Geneva Baird Gault. Having graduated from Dardenelle High School she attended Capitol City Business School. Mary was employed by the Arkansas State Treasury Department for over 30 years, and was a member of Trinity Episcopal Cathedral. She was a past board member of the Florence Crittenton Home, past President of the 20th Century Club and past member of the Pleasant Valley Country Club.
She is survived by a nephew, Roy D. Gault and his wife, Carol, a sister-in-law, Pat Gault all of Colorado Springs, CO, a God-child, Susan Overton Huey and her husband, Nelson and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Joe D. Gault.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 10:00a.m. Saturday at St. Mark's Episcopal Garden.

Hartwell "Sonny" Wilson
Hartwell Thomas, "Sonny" Wilson, age 86, of Little Rock, died Thursday, October 21, 2004. Sonny was born
in Helena, Arkansas, where he graduated from high school. He also graduated from Mississippi State University in Starkville. After school he was drafted joining the U.S. Army and was apart of the D-Day Invasion, arriving at Normandy Beach 6 days after the invasion. He was wounded two months after his arrival. Within that short period of time Sonny was awarded 2 Bronze Stars, a Silver Star and Purple Heart. He eventually returned to Arkansas and started his career in sales working for Arkmo Lumber Company in Corpus Christi, Texas, and Little Rock. Sonny and Jess Harkness Curl, of Helena, were married
in 1945, raising two sons, John and Hartwell. Sonny continued his interest in the lumber business working for Arkla Gas Company where he was sales manager of their Forest Products Division. Before his retirement in 1974 he worked for Stewart Forest Products. Sonny loved hunting, fishing and camping with his family. He was a member of Lakeside Country Club, and Belcher Hunting Club. He and Jess were members of Westover Hills Presbyterian Church.
Sonny is survived by his wife of 59 years, Jess Harkness Curl Wilson, of Little Rock, two sons, John Charles Wilson and wife Ann of Little Rock, Hartwell Thomas Wilson of Wichita Falls, Texas, two brother-in-laws, Robert S. Curl and wife Glenna of Amarillo, Texas, Charles C. Curl of Amarillo, Texas, one sister Marjorie Hall of Live Oaks, Florida, and two grandchildren, Matthew and Jessica Wilson.
There will be a visitation Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Ruebel Funeral Home, followed by a memorial service Saturday at 10am at Westover Hills Presbyterian Church officiated by Reverends Debbie and Jim Freeman. Services are under the direction of Ruebel Funeral Home..

Barbara Doris Williams
Barbara Doris Williams, age 94, of Little Rock, died Monday, May 31, 2004. She was born
in Camden, Arkansas, where she married
Reverend Leroy Williams, who died in 1966. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Dorris Lawrence. She and her husband, who was a Methodist minister, traveled Arkansas pasturing various churches. Barbara was a very good cook, loved sewing quilts for her family and cherished her time with her grandchildren. Barbara was a member of Pilgrims Rest Church in Monticello during the 15 years she lived there. She later returned to Little Rock to live with her daughter. Before moving to Monticello, she was a member of Bethel AME Church, NLR.
She is survived by four daughters; Rose Lee Boykins of Detroit, Michigan, Joyce Ann Slater of Little Rock, Leroy Williams, Jr. of Little Rock, Shirley Williams of Little Rock, three sisters; Bessie Youngblood of Dallas, Texas, Evelyn Carter of Phelan, California, Claudia Mae Cleveland of Camden, Arkansas, 9 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
There will be a funeral service Saturday, June 5th at 11am at the Ruebel Funeral Home chapel officiated by Reverend Lawrence Hobbs. Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Cemetery.
