Lucille Robinson
Mrs. Lucille Robinson, age 108, resident of Knoxville, Tenn., died Saturday, April 16, 2005 at her home.
She was born Saturday, Dec. 19, 1896 in De Queen to Dr. R.S. and Lillian Pamelia McCrary Morgan; was a clerk for her husband’s pharmacy in Baytown, Tex.; and a Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Eugene Robinson; and one son, Gene Robinson.
She is survived by a number of grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 19 in Redmen cemetery with Rev. J.L. Walker officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.
Michael Patt Reese
Michael Patt Reese, age 52, resident of Lockesburg, died Sunday, April 17, 2005 at Christus St. Michael Health System, Texarkana.
He was born March 14, 1953 at Shreveport, La., to Melvin Jr. and Margaret Lee Patt Reese; and was an auto mechanic.
He was preceded in death by his father.
He is survived by his wife, Wynona Jewell Battle Reese of Lockesburg; two daughters, Haley and Galen Reese, both of Shreveport, La.; his mother, Margaret Reese of Lockesburg; a brother, Melvin Reese III of Whitehouse, Tex.; a sister, Megyn Tiller of Shreveport, La.; and three nephews.
Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home.
A private memorial service will be at a later time.
Richard Dempsey
Mr. Richard Dempsey, age 60, resident of De Queen, died Wednesday, April 13, 2005, at his home.
He was born at Wright City, Oklahoma on March 15, 1945.
He served in the military with the U.S. Army, and was retired from the Arkansas Highway Department.
He was of the Pentecostal faith, and enjoyed hunting, NASCAR, and playing the guitar.
He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Morgan, and a son Stanley Dean Dempsey.
He is survived by his wife, Patti Sue Smith Dempsey of De Queen; one son, Shane Dempsey of Gillham; two daughters, Shana Lynn Dempsey of Redding, Kansas, and Morgan Dempsey of De Queen; his mother, Juanita Evelyn Benson of De Queen; one sister Patricia Gonzalez of Arcadia, California; three grandchildren, Kelly and Jake Dempsey of Gillham; and Sierra Leigh Rivas Dempsey of Redding, Kansas.
Funeral Services for Mr. Richard L. Dempsey were held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 18, 2005 in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Tim Johnson and Tom Williams, Minister officiating. Burial followed in the Gillham cemetery, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home.
The family received friends at the funeral home from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., Sunday, April 17, 2005.
Nettie J. Terry
Mrs. Nettie J. Terry, age 105, resident of Lockesburg, died Sunday, April 17, 2005 at her home.
She was born Oct. 31, 1899 at Waynesboro, Tenn., to William Buchanan and Sally Mae Willbanks Jackson; was a homemaker; and a member of Falls Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Terry; and two daughters, Lillie Hathcoat and Anna Lou May.
She is survived by one daughter, Sue McGraw of Lockesburg.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 19 in Falls Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Rev. Ann Holley officiating. Burial followed in Ben Lomond cemetery, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen.
Frank Milton Moss
Frank Milton Moss, age 62, resident of Charlotte, NC, died Sunday, April 17, 2005 at his home.
He was born May 21, 1942 in De Queen to the late Grover Cleveland and Gertrude Novell Rink Moss; served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War receiving numerous accommodations and holding the rank of Master Sergeant.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Pat Lee Moss.
He is survived by his wife, Audrey Moss of Mobile, Ala.; one daughter, Jennifer Dixon of Charlotte, NC; two brothers, Gerald Moss of Murfreesboro and Walter moss of Houston, Tex.; and one sister, Felicia Foust of Clinton, Tenn.
Graveside services were held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 22 in Sharon Memorial Park with Rev. Peggy Bridgers officiating, under the direction of Carolina Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Charlotte.
Bryan Goodnight
Mr. Bryan Goodnight, age 25, of Benton, went to rest in the arms of the Lord Friday, September 2, 2005.
He was born January 20, 1980 in Texarkana, Texas, was employed by Huff construction company, and a member of Salem Baptist Church of Benton.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Bob Burgess.
He is survived by his mother, Gina Burgess Craig and husband John Craig of Benton; his father, Donnie Goodnight of Hot Springs; brother, Steven Goodnight of East End and two sisters, Lindsey Goodnight of Benton and Angie Fouts of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; maternal grandmother, Shirley Burgess Johnson and husband Charlie Johnson of De Queen; paternal grandmother, Mrs. Nina Riggs of Benton; maternal great-grandmother Mrs. Lillie Smith of Watson, Okla. and paternal great-grandmother Mrs. Nancy Burgess of Winnwood, Okla.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 7 in Indian Springs Baptist Church with Bro. Tom Williams officiating.
Burial followed in Pinecrest Memorial Park under the direction of Ashley Funeral Home Inc. of Benton.

Waburn Burl Keith
Waburn Burl Keith, age 70, resident of Umpire, died Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2005 at his home.
He was born March 11, 1935 in Umpire to Fletcher and Dollie Manasco Keith; was a self-employed contractor; served in the U.S. Army; and attended Athens Missionary Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Marilyn Tipton Keith; two daughters, Kelly Moore of Dierks and Cheryl Maxwell of Ft. Smith; one sister, Blanche Keith of Umpire; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 10 in Athens Missionary Baptist Church with Don Vaughn and Travis Lane officiating. Burial followed in Athens cemetery under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in Dierks.
The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept 9 at the funeral home in Dierks.
