Mae June Poole Moore
Mae June Poole Moore, 77, of West Plains, Mo., formerly of Horatio, passed away on June 8, 2006 in her home with her family at her side after a long illness.
She was born April 3, 1929 in Holiday, Texas to Minor and Mary Belle Morgan Poole. She enjoyed numerous hobbies, loved her family, and had a relationship with God.
Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Robert Irving Kurth and James Norval Moore; one daughter, Johanna Kurth Peer; and two brothers, William Gene Poole and Jerry Milford Poole.
She is survived by four daughters, Carol Sue Parrish of West Plains, Mo., Meredith Bell Brewer of Thayer, Mo., Linda Yvette Allen of Koshkonong, Mo., and Patricia Elaine Taylor of Horatio; two sons, Kenneth Robert Kurth of Pomona, Mo., and Jimmy Ronald Moore of Horatio; one sister, Patricia Ann Brewer of Horatio; 15 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 17, 2006 in the Williamson Community Church with Cy Davis, minister, officiating. Friends and family were welcome.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to hospice or American Cancer Society - Relay for Life.
Lewis "Skip" McGaha Sr.
Lewis Russell "Skip" McGaha Sr., age 59, a resident of Horatio, died Tuesday, June 13, 2006 in Texarkana.
He was born Nov. 24, 1946 in the West Otis Community to Hubert and Louise Hendrix McGaha, was a meat cutter and market manager for Harvest Foods in De Queen and a member of the Horatio Assembly of God Church.
He was preceded in death by his father.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Theresa Jones McGaha; three sons, Russell McGaha of Jackson, Tenn., Steven McGaha of Elberta, Ala., and Jason McGaha of Texarkana, Texas; two daughters, Angela Stokes of Russellville, and Kisha Mitchell of Olatha, Kan.; his mother, Louise McGaha of Horatio; one brother, Tim McGaha of Horatio; one sister, Debbie Robardy of Texarkana, Texas; 16 grandchildren and step-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 17 in the Horatio Assembly of God Church with Rev. J.L. Walker officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Center cemetery, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, June 16 at the funeral home.
Floy Cox
Mrs. Floy Cox, age 91, a resident of Dierks, died Thursday, June 15, 2006 in the Howard Memorial Hospital in Nashville.
She was born Sept. 26, 1914 in Eagletown, Okla. to Ernest and Ethel Bedwell Barnett, was a store clerk and a member of Dierks Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lester "Red" Cox on May 29, 1991; two brothers; one sister; an infant son; and a grandson, Russell Cox in 2001.
She is survived by two sons, Hariol Cox of Dierks and Sammie Cox of Sherwood; one sister, Verna Boston and one brother, Archie Barnett, both of California; three grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great-granchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, June 17 in the Dierks Church of Christ with James McRae, minister, and Kelly Brown officiating. Burial followed in the Sunshine cemetery, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in Dierks.
The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, June 16 at the funeral home in Dierks.

Michael Anthony Dove, USN retired, died Sunday, June 25, 2006, in San Diego, Calif., from injuries sustained on March 31, 2005, aboard the USS Trenton, LPD 14.
He was born Jan. 16, 1985 in Nashville to Deirdre Louise Dove and Rodney Walker.
He is survived by his parents; and grandparents, Douglas and Diane Dove of Dierks and Gwen Gilbert and Robert Walker.
Funeral services were held at Holly Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Dierks at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 1 with Bro. Larry Allbritton officiating. Burial was in Mount Pleasant cemetery, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in Dierks.
The family received friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home at Dierks from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 30.

Richard Riesch
Richard Bernard Riesch, age 66, a resident of Umpire, died Saturday, May 13, 2006 in the Christus St. Michael Center in Texarkana, Texas.
He was born Sept. 21, 1939 in Hartford, Wisc. to Leroy and Lucille Lischka Riesch and was retired from the U.S. Postal Service.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Evon Firsich Riesch of Umpire; four sons, Pat Riesch of Calif., Chris Riesch of Oregon, Ron Riesch and Roy Riesch, both of Calif.; three daughters, Cindy Lindenberry of Mont., Pam Duescher of Calif. and Teresa Davidson of Oregon; 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, June 14 in the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Umpire. Following the service ashes will be spread at Little Missouri Falls at Albert Pike.
Delbert E. Allenbaugh
Delbert E. Allenbaugh, age 82, a resident of Garden City, Kansas died Tuesday, May 30, 2006 in St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Kansas.
He was born Dec. 19, 1923 in Holly, Colo. to Noel F. and Celestia M. (Bragg) Allenbaugh and was retired from Western Uniform.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Beryl Jean Woolford.
He is survived by his wife, Rachel Allenbaugh; three daughters, RaeDel Smith of Midwest City, Okla., Darla Everett of Wellston, Okla., and Juli Burnett of Springfield, Colo.; an adopted son, Billy Joe "B.J." Cleaver of Strong City, Kansas; a brother, Cecil Allenbaugh of Holly, Colo.; a sister, Nola Mae Ice of Holly, Colo.; eight grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 2 in the Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City, Kansas with Rev. Robert Faulconer officiating. Burial followed in the Holly cemetery.

Robert A. Quinn Sr.
Robert Anthony Quinn Sr., age 90, a resident of Horatio, died Saturday, June 24, 2006 in Little Rock.
He was born June 13, 1916 in Providence, RI to John and Mary Bramah Quinn, was a waist gunner in the U.S. Air Force during World War II, and retired from the U.S. Air Force and Red River Army Depot.
He is survived by his wife, Sally Everett Quinn of Horatio; two daughters, Bobbi White of Little Rock and Patti Tudor of Natural Dam; two sons, Anthony Quinn of Roland and Mike Quinn of Lockesburg; two brothers, Anthony Quinn and Jimmy Quinn of Providence, RI; one sister, Mary Lambert of Bellefontaine, Ohio; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, June 26 in the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Fred Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Horatio cemetery.
