Brenda Delaine Lovell
Brenda Delaine Lovell, age 72, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas died on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at her home.

She was born August 9, 1949 in De Queen, Arkansas. Brenda was a member of the Beacon Hill Seventh Day Adventist Church. She enjoyed attending church, arts and crafts, painting, cooking, fishing, camping, flower gardening, the great outdoors.

Brenda was preceded in death by her father, James Stewart.

She is survived by her husband, Joe Lovell; two sons, Glen Lovell and Kelin Lovell of De Queen; her mother, Mae Wolcott; two grandchildren, Lysia Lovell and Alliyah Lovell; one brother, Steve Stuart and wife, Brenda; two sisters, Debbie Smith and Husband, Tracy and Glenda Icenhower and husband, Mike; two brothers-in-law, Clifton Lovell and Steve Lovell and wife, Lata and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Services will be private.

Cremation arrangements by Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.

Mark Lynn Lee
Mr. Mark Lynn Lee, age 64, resident of De Queen, Arkansas, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, in Ashdown, Arkansas.

Mark was born one of three children to the union of Luther Eugene and Lucy Sanders Lee on August 8, 1957, in Fairbanks, Alaska. He was a 1975 graduate of Golden High School, Golden, Colorado and later entered used car sales. Mark worked more than forty years in De Queen and the surrounding communities selling cars, boats, tractors, guns, and much more. If you could price it, he could sell it. He was one of the few men left that meant what he said. You never had to doubt his word and his handshake was gold. When he was able, he attended The English Congregation of Jehovah’s Witness in De Queen. He enjoyed selling cars, collecting model cars, and he cherished the time spent with his pups: Molly, Cindy, Eddy, and Max.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Michael G. Lee; and a cousin, Steve Sanders.

Mark leaves to cherish his memory, his sister and brother-in-law, Michelle and Jeff Jones of Alma, Arkansas; his nephew, Zach Jones and his wife Kathy, and children: Landry, Micah, and Reese; his cousin, Linda Lucas of Vinita, Oklahoma; as well as his many friends and colleagues, too numerous to count.

Funeral Services for Mr. Mark Lee will be held at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, December 5, 2021, in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Jerry Brazeal officiating. Burial will follow at Redmen Cemetery, De Queen. Family and friends are welcome to the funeral home from 10:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., Saturday, for viewing and fellowship. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Chandler Funeral Home of De Queen.

Greg Smith, P.J. Minor, Paul Maurer, Bobby Shipp, Benny Tollett, and David McMillian will serve as pallbearers.

Henry Jerome Schroer, Sr.
Henry Jerome Schroer Sr., age 79, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas, passed away on Friday, November 26, 2021 at his home.

He was born July 5, 1942 in Cole County, Missouri. He was a chimney sweep and owner of Jerry’s cleaning service.

Henry was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Casper and Lorene Musick Schroer; one son, Jeremy Schroer; one sister, Jo Ann Seigel.

He is survived by his wife Doloris Ruth Johnson Schroer; four sons, Henry Jerome Schroer Jr., Jeffery Schroer, Timothy Steven Schroer, Mark and Cassandra Schroer; two daughters, Tammy LeAnn Wagstaff and Misty Dawn Mendez; two step-children, David Allen Mosier and Deborah K. Mosier and a number of grandchildren, siblings and nieces and nephews.

A private burial was held under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Wilkerson Funeral Home.

Mr. Frank Adams
Mr. Frank Glen Adams, age 83, resident of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and former resident of De Queen, Arkansas, peacefully passed from this life on Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at his home in Sioux Falls.

Frank was born one of eight children to the union of Ralph Adams and Gladys Sarah Adams on January 20, 1938, in Granite City, Illinois. After graduating high school, Frank faithfully served with the United States Air Force during the Vietnam Era. Once he was honorably discharged from the service, he went on to receive his Doctor of Philosophy. He worked many years for Cossatot Community College in De Queen, retiring as Chancellor. He married Janet Marie Shindoll on June 6, 1992, in Canton, South Dakota, together they shared more than twenty-nine loving years. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, and former member of the De Queen Rotary Club. He enjoyed fishing and playing golf, but most of all, he cherished the time spent with Janet, their children, and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his son-in-law, Jeff Kehn; three brothers, Thomas Adams, Donald Adams, and William Adams; and two sisters, Dorothy King and Reatha Elliott.

Frank leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Janet Adams of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; two daughters, Patricia Schuh and husband Rodney of McHenry, Illinois, and Jennifer Caldwell of Woodstock, Illinois; one step-son, Daniel DeMaranville and wife Andi of Mitchell, South Dakota; two step-daughters, Eileen Kehn of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and Deanna Radcliffe and husband Jason of Branchland, West Virginia; fifteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; one brother, Rev. Michael Adams of Marietta, Georgia; one sister, Diane Means of Gillespie, Illinois; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.

Funeral Services for Mr. Frank Adams will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, December 3, 2021, in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Redmen Cemetery, De Queen. Arrangements are entrusted to Chandler Funeral Home of De Queen.

Diane Lynn Houser Johnson
Diane Lynn Houser Johnson, age 71, a resident of Nashville, Arkansas died on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at St. Vincent’s in Hot Springs, Arkansas.

She was born January 27, 1950 in De Queen, Arkansas. Diane was a member of the Crosspoint Cowboy Church. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, hospitality team at the church, loved to fish and spoiling her grandchildren.

Diane was preceded in death by her husband, Kelsey Ray Johnson; her parents, JT and Robbie Jo Goode Houser; granddaughter, Jenna Beth Johnson; great granddaughter, Abigail Shuler.

She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Kelly and Tate Mitchell of Lockesburg; one son and daughter-in-law, Jay and Tina Johnson of Nashville, Arkansas; three granddaughters, Jaycie Johnson, Jadyn Johnson, Cheyanna Shuler; one grandson, C.J. Bryant; two sisters, Patsy Havins and husband Larry of Ashdown, Brenda Posey and husband Robert of Mount Pleasant, Texas and a number of nieces, nephews, and friends.

A memorial service for Diane will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 4, 2021 at the Crosspoint Cowboy Church with Bro. Don Jones officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home of De Queen.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Kitchen Renovation Fund at Crosspoint Cowboy Church, P.O. Box 1675 Nashville, Arkansas 71852.

Sandy Lee Gentry
Sandy Lee Gentry, age 63, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas died on Sunday, November 28, 2021 at her home.

She was born April 11, 1958 in Texas. She loved her grandchildren, crafting, baking and her dog Mollie.

Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Doris Minor Wilson; two brothers and one sister.

She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Stacy and Christopher Lott of Houston, Texas; two granddaughters, Zara Saldivar of De Queen and Karlie Saldivar and a numerous amount of nieces and nephews.

A memorial luncheon for Sandy will held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at 143 Sweet Home Lane, De Queen, Arkansas.

Mrs. Marilyn St. John
Mrs. Marilyn Ann Griffin St. John, age 79, of De Queen, Arkansas, peacefully passed from this life on Sunday, November 28, 2021, at her home.

Marilyn was born the youngest of seven children to the union of Bennie Franklin and Callie Ann Ayers Griffin on March 14, 1942, in Horatio, Arkansas. She received her Certified Nurses Aide license and worked several years for the De Queen Medical Center. She married Kenneth Neal St. John in September of 1979, and together they owned and operated St. John Glass in De Queen, as well as operated a poultry production farm. Marilyn was a former member of Old Center Holiness Church and enjoyed spending time in her garden, and fishing. More than anything, she cherished the time spent with her family and her sweet puppy, Millie.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of over 42 years, Kenneth St. John; one sister, Sue Mumma; and four brothers, Hubert Griffin, Clarence “Doodle” Griffin, J.E. “Toots” Griffin, and Kenneth Griffin.

Marilyn leaves to cherish her loving memory, six daughters and sons-in-law, Lorrie and Danny Stubbs of De Queen, Melanie Brophy of De Queen, Beverly St. John of Benton, Becky Jegstrup of Lockesburg, Belinda and Tim Cox of Nashville, and Benita St. John of De Queen; nine grandchildren and their spouses, Brandi Stubbs of De Queen, Justin Brophy of Austin, Texas, Ryan Brophy of Conway, Dylan and Pam Jegstrup of De Queen, Brittney Jegstrup of Lockesburg, Ben and Jessica Cox of El Dorado, Drew and Tyra Cox of Russellville, Gwen and Melissa Harris of Hot Springs, and Ashley Harris of Hensley; thirteen great-grandchildren, and her special great-granddaughter, Braylee Cano of De Queen; her loving brother and sister-in-law, Bennie “Honey” and Martie Griffin of De Queen; as well as a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Marilyn St. John will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, December 2, 2021, at the Old Center Holiness Church Pavilion in the Central Community of Sevier County. Burial will follow at Old Center Cemetery. General viewing will be held from 10:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M., Wednesday, at the funeral home. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Chandler Funeral Home of De Queen.
