Tammy Lynn Hobbs
Tammy Lynn Hobbs, age 50, a resident of Dierks, Arkansas, died Saturday, October 23, 2021 at her home.

She was born February 22, 1971 in Taft, Texas. Tammy always put her family first. She made it a point to contact and spend as much time as possible with her family members. When not spending time with her family, Tammy enjoyed listening to music and watching television. She always preferred to see these performances live with her friends and family.

Tammy was preceded in death by her mother, Sherrill Ann Williams.

She is survived by her father, Larry Hobbs; one son, Brady Hobbs and her brothers and sisters.

A memorial service for Tammy will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 1, 2021 in the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel in Dierks, Arkansas with Bro. Larry Fry officiating.

Maudie Shelton
Mrs. Maudie Davis Shelton, age 83, of De Queen, Arkansas, passed from this life on Monday, October 25, 2021, in De Queen.

“Top”, as she was known to her family and many friends, was born October 28, 1937, in Sevier County, Arkansas, to the union of William Levi “Bill” and Willie Madge Davis. She was a 1955 graduate of Horatio High School. Top married the love of her life, Vernon Clarence Shelton, on March 17, 1956, in Horatio, and to this one son was born. She worked in the Craig Plant of Dierks Lumber and later for Horatio State Bank, retiring after several years of service. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in De Queen and was a faithful member of the Joy Singers, where she spent forty-years sharing the gospel with song. Top enjoyed reading, sewing, and gardening, but most cherished her time spent with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Madge Davis; her loving husband of over 62 years, Vernon Shelton; and a brother, Jay Ragan.

Top leaves to cherish her loving memory, one son and daughter-in-law, Darrell Vernon “Buddy” and Carla (Cox) Shelton of De Queen; two grandsons and their spouses, Bryan Scott and Ashley Shelton of De Queen, and Randall Eric and Ashley of Mulberry; two great-grandchildren, Jaxon Ty Shelton, and Emery Jane Shelton of De Queen; one brother and sister-in-law, Billy Darrell “Cy” and Shirley Davis of Eagletown; one sister, Betty and late husband Kenneth Chapman of Broken Bow; sister-in-law, Ann Ragan of Eagletown; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Maudie Shelton will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, October 28, 2021, in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. George Frachiseur officiating. Burial will follow at West Otis Cemetery, Horatio.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 6:00 P.M., at the funeral home. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Chandler Funeral Home of De Queen.

McMahan “Mack” Hibbs
McMahan “Mack” Hibbs, age 87, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas passed away Sunday, October 24, 2021 at his home.

He was born December 30, 1933 in Howard County, Arkansas. He was an avid member of the De Queen Church of Christ. He married the love of his life on April 11, 1953. He loved the outdoors, traveling and spending time with family. Was a truck driver by trade to which he worked until his retirement at the age of 78 from Jimmie Tucker Trucking.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Eva Lou Hibbs; his parents, Benjamin and Iva Marie Greathouse Hibbs; three brothers, Dempsey Lofton, Norman Lofton and Frank Hibbs; one granddaughter, Eva Marie Leeper; one great grandson, Joe Michael Brizendine.

Survived by his closest, dearest friend, Dee Ann Elliott; two daughters, Suzann and husband, David Churchwell of Eagletown and Diane and husband Craig Causey of De Queen; three sons, Mikeal and wife Rose Hibbs of Broken Bow, David and wife Dena Hibbs of De Queen, Mackey and wife, Amanda Hibbs of Provo; sixteen grandchildren, April, Vanetta, Billy, Kayla, Jason, Stacy, Michelle, Misty, Crystal, Ladonna, Justin, Kaley, Payton, Jacob, Lanie and Belle; twenty-four great grandchildren and ten great great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 29, 2021 in the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Toney Stowers officiating. Burial will follow in Clear Creek Cemetery under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., on Thursday, October 28th at the funeral home.

Moses Demetrus Aaron
Moses Demetrus Aaron, age 29, a resident of Lockesburg, Arkansas passed away Sunday, October 24, 2021 at his home.

He was born March 8, 1992 in Idabel, Oklahoma. Moses was a welder and a Baptist.

Survived by his wife, Hailee Aaron; two sons, Myles Demetrus Aaron and Deylin Malyk Aaron; one daughter, Isabella Paige Aaron; his mother, Tammie Black of De Queen; two sisters, Julia Key of De Queen and Trista Black of De Queen; maternal grandmother, Ruby Barrow of De Queen and a number of cousins, nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 27, 2021 in the Mt. Ida Cemetery pavilion with Mary Overturf officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.

The family will receive friend from 6:00-8:00 p.m., on Tuesday, October 26th at the funeral home.

James Edward Horn
James Edward Horn went to his heavenly home on October 23, 2021

He was born on August 29, 1966, to Edward and Annette Horn of Foreman, AR. He was preceded in death by his mother Annette, grandparents Earl and Thelma Horn, grandparents Rufus and Claudia Jean Terrell, and one uncle, Mark Terrell.
James is survived by his son Steven Edward Horn and three grandchildren, Nathan, Rachel, and Kenlee.

James is also survived by his father Edward Horn, his brother Allen Horn, sister-in-law Shelly Horn, and niece and nephew Rose and Chaise Horn, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

General viewing will be at Wilkerson Funeral Home in DeQueen, AR on Tuesday, October 26, 2021. Graveside services will be at Marvin Cemetery in Foreman, AR at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 27, 2021 with Bro. Jimmy Roden officiating under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.

James will be missed by all of his many friends and family.

Jack Clinton Wray
Jack Clinton Wray was born on Dec 15, 1954 and went to Heaven on October 22nd, 2021 at the age of 66.

He was the former owner of Jack Wray’s Body Shop & prided himself in his workmanship, honesty & quality.

Jack was predeceased by his parents Robert & Jeanette Wray his brother, Robbie Wray and his favorite mother-in-law, Ida Margaret Coulter Stone.

Survived by his wife, Adrienne Wray and his sister, Janet (Lee) Davis, sisters-in-law, Melinda Taggart (Cheryl Thomson) & Susie (David) Rollin, nephews Kris (Tara) Lancaster & Scott (Jade) Lancaster, Gale Phillips, Scotty (Jackie) Davis, Andy (Tina) Davis and niece, Maria (Michael) Clowers. He is also survived by his faithful beagle, Sadie Pearl Wray.

A celebration of life will be held in the Wilkerson Funeral Home chapel at 5 pm on Wednesday, October 27, 2021. The family requests that you wear a mask.

John Harvey Nelson
John Harvey Nelson, age 76, a resident of Winthrop, Arkansas passed away Friday, October 22, 2021 at his home.

He was born May 27, 1945 in Atoka, Oklahoma. Mr. Nelson was a United States Navy Veteran. He was a member of Oak Grove Church of Christ. He worked for Ash Grove Cement for 42 years as a control room operator. He served on Winthrop City Council, Winthrop School Board, and Horatio School Board. He loved camping and watching Winthrop Wolves basketball and later Horatio football and basketball. Mr. Nelson was a devoted husband, father and grandfather with great sense of humor and always enjoyed teasing people and playing jokes.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Cleo and Dorothuly Nelson of Arkinda, Arkansas; paternal grandparents; John C. and Eary Belle Nelson of Arkinda; maternal grandparents, Harvey and Goldie Manion of Stringtown, Oklahoma, one infant brother, Wilborn Maniord Nelson and a special cousin Carol Sue Green Matthews.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years Judy Martin Nelson; one son and daughter-in-law, Clint and Susan Nelson of Jewell, Arkansas and one daughter, Johnna Nelson of Midwest City, Oklahoma; two grandchildren, Julie Hice Scott and Kenzey Nelson and two great-grandchildren, Lauren Scott and Joseph Scott; three special cousins, Sherry Lewis, Billy Wayne Nelson and Mary Ann Green Moore.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, October 25, 2021 Blackland Cemetery in Foreman, Arkansas with Leon Klitz officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.
