Sid Stahlman
Mr. Sid Stahlman, age 64, resident of De Queen, Arkansas, passed from this life on Sunday, September 19, 2021, in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
Sid was born the youngest of two children to the union of Sidney Estle and Helena Hartburg Stahlman on May 26, 1957, in Bradford, Pennsylvania. He was a 1975 graduate of Bradford High School in Pennsylvania. Sid married the love of his life, Deborah Cheryl Downs, on July 15, 1991, in De Queen. He worked in different capacities over the years including truck and bus driving. In the later years, Sid worked for Pilgrim’s Pride as a QA technician and formerly in refrigeration maintenance. He loved animals, especially his cat, “Pud”. He enjoyed grilling, keeping his home and yard, and cherished the time spent with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister-in-law, Tammy Simmons.
Sid leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of over 30 years, Deborah Stahlman of De Queen; two sons, Jason Johnson of Tennessee, and Kevin Johnson and wife Rachel of Tyler, Texas; five grandchildren, Landon, Colton, Teya, Delaney, and Dakota; his sister and brother-in-law, Sandy and Steve Mills of Lafayette, Louisiana; mother-in-law, Virgie McPherson of De Queen; three brothers-in-law, Phillip (Karen) Downs of De Queen, Steven Downs of De Queen, and James Simmons of De Queen; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.
Memorial Services for Mr. Sid Stahlman will be announced by Chandler Funeral Home, in the weeks to come. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Chandler Funeral Home of De Queen.
Martha Rachel Hagood
Ms. Martha Rachel Chapline Hagood, age 77, resident of De Queen, Arkansas, passed from this life on Friday, September 17, 2021, at Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital, Arlington, Texas.
She was born the youngest daughter of eight children born to the union of Charles Lee and Fannie Elizabeth Daily Chapline on November 14, 1943, in Houston, Texas. She was a 1961 graduate of Southwest Junior College and went on to obtain her LVN license at St. Joseph in Fort Worth. Martha worked more than 55 years in public healthcare, spending her later years serving with the Southwest Arkansas Counseling and Mental Health Center in De Queen, retiring in February of 2019. Martha was a devoted member of the Beacon Hill Seventh Day Adventist Church in De Queen. She taught cradle roll for more than 59 years, and enjoyed her time spent with any activity the church was involved with. She also enjoyed caring for children, and spending time with her loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Charles, Bill, and Paul Chapline; three sisters, Ralph Juanita Chapline, Pat Holland, and Ruby Conner.
Martha leaves to cherish her loving memory, three sons, Greg Hagood and his wife Jessica of Texarkana, Steve Hagood of De Queen, and Chris Hagood of Big Spring, Texas; four daughters, Laura Lynn White of Horatio, Melissa Walraven and her husband Jeff of Texarkana, Laura Ruth Dehan and her husband L.J. of De Queen, and Glenda Hagood of Horatio; eighteen grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren; two brothers, David Chapline and his wife Nelva of Burleson, Texas, and James Chapline and his wife Linda of Keene, Texas; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Martha Hagood will be held at 12:00 P.M., Noon, Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at the Beacon Hill Seventh Day Adventist Church with Elder Jerry Conatser officiating. Burial will follow at Beacon Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, at the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Chandler Funeral Home of De Queen.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to the Beacon Hill Seventh Day Adventist Church, 1452 Red Bridge Road, De Queen, Arkansas 71832.
Owen Olen McGough
Owen Olen McGough, age 71, a resident of Horatio, Arkansas passed away Monday, September 20, 2021 in Christus St. Michael Hospital.
He was born February 20, 1950 in Eloy, Arizona. He enjoyed spending time with family; going to the river and helping others.
Owen was preceded in death by his parents, Andy Hez and Margie Frady McGough; one brother, Andy Leroy McGough; one sister, Stella Farley; one granddaughter, Faith Lambeth and one grandson, Dustin Cano.
He is survived by his significant other, Eloner “Tutor” Edens; four daughters, Brenda and husband, James Alexander of De Queen, Susan Freeman of De Queen; Jennifer Lambeth of Villa Park, Illinois and Christina Lambeth of Crystal Lake, Illinois; seven grandchildren, Katie, Shiney, Taran, Tristan, Chance, Hope and Gunar of De Queen; one great granddaughter, Charlie; two sisters, Connie Frady of Winthrop and Linda Tollison of Horatio.
Graveside funeral services for Owen McGough will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, September 23, 2021 in the Pauley Cemetery with Jamie Cowan officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 22th at the funeral home.
Bobby Joe Butler
Bobby Joe Butler, age 91, a resident of Foreman, Arkansas, passed from this life on Sunday, September 19, 2021 in Texarkana.
He was born March 18, 1930 in Foreman, Arkansas. Bobby loved to fish; visit with family and loved coaching little league baseball and watching his grandson’s play ball. He was an electronic technician for Texas Instruments. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean War and was a member of Church of Christ in Forman.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Betty Mason Butler; six sisters, one brother, and a number of nieces and nephews.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Susan Butler of Schererville, Indiana; one daughter and son-in-law, Linda and John Billingsley of Billingsley Corner; two sons and daughter-in-law, Rex and Lisa Butler of Merrillvillle, IN and Tommy Butler of Foreman, Arkansas; one brother, Warren Butler of Mineola, Texas; five grandchildren, Alyssa and husband Robert Simmons, Daniel and wife Janelle Butler, Nathan and wife Kayla Butler, Stephen Butler, Alaina Butler; Amber and husband Andy Nardo, Luke Billingsley, Stephanie and husband Kreg Carpenter, Mary Butler; great grandchildren, Ava, Anna, Elizabeth, Paige and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 25, 2021 in the Foreman Church of Christ. Burial will follow in Dollarhide Pavilion, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m., until service time on Saturday.

Richard Clermont Jackson
Richard Clermont Jackson, age 69, a resident of Horatio, Arkansas passed away Monday, September 20, 2021 at his home.
He was born December 29, 1951 in De Queen, Arkansas. He was retired as the Director of Field Operations of Arkansas Livestock and Poultry. He was a member of the Assembly of God in Horatio.
Mr. Jackson was preceded in death by his parents, Issac and Ruth Jackson; two sisters, Relda Shrouder and Sue Fitzhugh and one brother, Isaac Jim Jackson.
He is survived by one sister, Vinita Sanders of Texarkana, Arkansas; two nephews, Lynn Fitzhugh of Horatio and Matt Sanders of Texarkana; one niece, Susan Sanders of Texarkana and many special friends that stuck by him till the end.
Graveside funeral services for Mr. Jackson will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 23, 2021 in the Horatio Cemetery with John Gutierres officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.
Mr. Raymond Shipley
Mr. Raymond Edward Shipley, age 96, resident of De Queen, Arkansas, passed peacefully from this life Sunday, September 19, 2021, at his home.
Raymond was born the oldest of four sons to the union of Edward Elexis and Myrtle Belle Ritz Shipley on July 12, 1925, in Havre de Grace, Maryland. On August 4, 1946, he married the love of his life, Lydia Johanna Baudenbach, in Germany. Raymond faithfully served in the United States Army during the occupation of Germany and was a Millwright. He worked many years for Baltimore Rigging, retiring in 1986. He enjoyed keeping his home and twenty-acre property until his health recently began to fail. Raymond was content with being at home and working in his yard, but more than anything, he cherished the time spent with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife of over 65 years, Lydia Shipley; his brothers, Edward, Howard, Carl Shipley; and a sister-in-law, Inge Scherer.
Raymond leaves to cherish his loving memory, one son and daughter-in-law, James Raymond and Connie Shipley of Bradenton, Florida; one daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl Lee and Alan Byrd of De Queen; five grandchildren and their spouses, Paula (Jonathan) Leal of Bradenton, Jennifer Shipley of Bradenton, James Bryson (Melissa) Byrd of Destin, Jaime (Scotty) McClendon of De Queen, and Cody (AshleaTaylor) of Benton; six great-grandchildren, Jocelyn and Cassandra Leal of Bradenton, James Luke, Colton, and Camille Byrd of Destin, and Stryder Byrd of Benton; sister-in-law, Myrtle Shipley of Maryland; special friends, Barbara and Olen Lacefield of De Queen, and Lorie and Todd Jones of Little River Country Club; caregivers, Kaitlyn Currence and Lakeshia Cornelius; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Jean Cecelia Clifton
Jean Cecelia Clifton age 64, a resident De Queen, Arkansas passed away Sunday, September 19, 2021 in Howard Memorial Hospital.
She was born May 15, 1957 in Koror, Palau . She was a CNA nurse and a member of St. Barbara Catholic Church. She loved playing Bingo and word puzzles.
Ms. Clifton was preceded in death by her father, Dr. Lomisang Ngirailild and her mother.
She is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Tyler and Ashley Berry of Cortez, Colorado and Daniel Clifton of Wayne, Oklahoma; one daughter and son-in-law, Terry and Chris Romanini of Salem, Oregon; a number of grandchildren, brothers, sisters and other relatives and her Bear Creek nursing home family.
