Ralph Berg
Ralph Eugene Berg (84) of Dierks, Arkansas passed away August 29, 2021, following a short illness surrounded by loved ones.
He was born on December 11, 1936, to Maurice E. Berg and Wilma Wilcox Berg in Maryville, Missouri. Following the birth of his brother Ronald Phillip Berg and Sister Clara Beatrice Berg Conrad, the family moved to Lodi, California where he grew up. He married his first love, Darlene Heidinger Berg, and had a son Brian Eugene Berg. After the untimely passing of his beloved Darlene, Ralph met and found love again with Helen Gilbert Berg of Dierks, Arkansas through a mutual friend. Ralph and Helen married and relocated to Dierks where Ralph worked for almost 20 years as a butcher in the local grocery store. Upon his retirement, Ralph’s energetic spirit became restless and he began work as a security guard for the manufacturing plant in nearby Nashville, Arkansas where he walked, whistling his favorite tunes. An avid sports lover, Ralph’s most cherished memories include watching his grandchildren and great-grandson play.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents Maurice and Wilma Berg; wife Darlene Berg; brother Phil Berg; sister Clara Conrad; brother-in-law Dennis Conrad; son Brian Berg; and step-daughter Melinda Gilbert. Ralph is survived by his wife Helen Berg (Dierks, AR); daughter-in-law Christiane Berg (Lodi, CA); son-in-law Carroll E. Walls, Jr. (Little Rock, AR); sister-in-law Karen Berg (Clements, CA); grandson Ryan Berg (Lodi, CA); grandson Connor Walls (Fayetteville, AR); granddaughter Caroline Walls (Houston, TX); great-grandson Jacob Berg (Lodi, CA); and cherished extended family and friends.
The family would like to thank the medical professionals from U.C. Davis and Lodi Nursing & Rehabilitation who took wonderful care of Ralph in his final days. A celebration of life will be held at Glenview Cemetery in Lodi, CA at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 25, 2021. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials are made to the charity of your choice.
Mrs. Janet Walker
Mrs. Janet Gwen Lyle Walker, age 66, of Grannis, Arkansas, passed from this life on Thursday, September 9, 2021, in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Janet was born one of five daughters to the union of Jimmie Joe and Joyce Omega Mayo Lyle on August 8, 1955, in De Queen. She was a 1973 graduate of Gillham High School. Janet married the love of her life, James Terry Walker, on November 18, 1986, in Wickes, Arkansas. She worked with Tyson in Grannis, retiring in May 2021 with 50 years of service. She was a member of the Wickes Pentecostal Church, United Daughters of the Confederacy, honorary member of the Sons of the Confederate Veterans, and the Southwest Arkansas Historic Society. She enjoyed scrapbooking and spending time with her many friends. Most of all, Janet cherished the time spent with her loving children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jimmie and Joyce Lyle; her loving husband of over 21 years, James Walker; and two sisters, Judy Martin and Dena Rodriguez.
Janet leaves to cherish her loving memory, one son and daughter-in-law, Manuel and Rawla Walker of Lincoln, Nebraska; daughter, Apryl Stinebaugh of Harleton, Texas; five grandchildren, Danielle Donham and husband Will of East End, Arkansas, Coen Walker of Kearney, Nebraska, Kyndall Walker of Lincoln, Nebraska, and Colton and Remington Stinebaugh, both of Harleton, Texas; two sisters and their spouses, Rhonda and Terry Holman of Wickes, and Bonita and Jr. Flint, also of Wickes; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Janet Walker will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, September 18, 2021, at the Wickes Pentecostal Church with Bro. Chris Burke officiating. Burial will follow at Baker Cemetery, Wickes. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Friday, September 17th, at the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel. J. Guadalupe Marrufo Martinez
J. Guadalupe Marrufo Martinez, age 51, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas, died, September 11, 2021 in Texarkana, Texas.
He was born December 22, 1969 in San Felipe, Rio Grande, Zacatecas, Mexico. He was a landscaper, enjoyed working for his family, working in his flower and vegetable garden, listening to loud music and spending time with his children. He was a member of St. Barbara Catholic Church and was very loved by his family.
Mr. Marrufo was preceded in death by his father, J. Guadalupe Marrufo and grandfather, Margarito Marrufo.
He is survived by his mother, M. De Jesus Martinez; wife, Maria Marrufo; children, Guadalupe Marrufo, Angel Marrufo, Jaqueline Marrufo, Anahi Marrufo, Jose Marrufo, Enrique Marrufo and Leonardo Marrufo; one granddaughter, Julia Flores; three brothers, Pedro Marrufo, Martin Marrufo and Eliseo Marrufo; six sisters, Maria Hernandez, Enedina Rodrigues, Angelica Hernandez, Rosalba Torres, Carmela Ramirez, Aurora Hernandez; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Viewing for Mr. Marrufo will begin at 7:00 p.m., Monday September 13th at his home, 215 Red Cut Road in De Queen. Burial will be in Mexico.
Howard Wayne Hunter
Mr. Howard Wayne Hunter, age 80, a resident of Royal, Arkansas passed from his earthly life, to his heavenly home on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
He was born November 20, 1940 in De Queen, Arkansas. Howard worked delivering newspapers and was an employee of Brooks Drug Store before graduating from De Queen High School in 1959. He immediately enlisted in the US Navy where he proudly served for 21 years. He worked at Quapaw for many years. He and Rita Green were united in marriage on March 10, 1961 in Dierks, Arkansas.
He accepted the Lord as his savior and was baptized in 1971 at a Baptist Church in Hayward, California. He loved the Arkansas Razorbacks, John Wayne, flying his planes, playing banjo and playing with all of his great grandchildren. He was a kind hearted, soft spoken man who was loved by all who knew him. He will be greatly missed.
Mr. Hunter was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Ellis “Bob” and Rosa Isabelle Davis Hunter; one niece, Donna Day, two nephews, Cliff Day, Andrew Day, one brother-in-law, Harold Day; mother and father-in-law, Carruth and Dorothy Green.
Those of us left to cherish his memory include his wife of 60 years, Rita of Royal, Arkansas; daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Kent Hunt of Hope, Arkansas, son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Sheri Hunter of Cypress, Texas; five grandchildren and spouses, Raven Taylor of Texarkana, Texas, Taylor Jester and husband, Alex of Hope, Arkansas, Jeffrey and Abby Hunter of Olathe, Kansas, Kacie Hunter of Cypress, TX and Will Dreamer of Royal, AR; four great grandchildren, Landon and Aidan Taylor of Texarkana, TX and Harper and Cambree Jester of Hope, AR; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Bobbie Day of Ashdown, AR, Janice and David Frady of De Queen, AR, Sandi and Jeff Stovall of Fayetteville, Arkansas and Lou and Carl Imhof of Rogers, Arkansas and special friends, Jerry and Marti Dreamer of Royal, AR and Tristan Ferrell of Hot Springs.
Graveside funeral services and burial with full military rites will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 11, 2021 in Belleville Cemetery in Lockesburg with Bro. Larry Fry officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.

Jimmy Ray Langford
Mr. Jimmy Ray Langford, age 81, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas died Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at his home.
He was born September 22, 1939 in New Eddingburg, Arkansas. He was a jack of all trades; a hand to hand combat instructor and was a member of Baptist Church.
Mr. Langford was preceded in death by his daughter, Mary Katherine Langford, one grandson, Devin Bullard, one granddaughter, Jasmine Langford.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah Fay Langford; five children, Jamie Langford, Kim Stephanie, Robert Langford, Cheryl Langford, Jimmy Langford II; eleven grandchildren, Jaramie Cool, Cassie Cool, Markel McGlaugh, Lacey Langford, Robert Langford II, Tristin Bullard Langford, Gloria Martinez, Ozbaldo Martinez, Celestial Langford, Michael Ramos, Allayana Langford; one brother, Marion Thomas Rose and one sister, Marilee Ann Rose.

Anselmo Jesse “Bimbo” Stamps
Mr. Anselmo Jesse “Bimbo” Stamps, age 54, a resident of Dierks, Arkansas died Saturday, September 4, 2021 at his home.
He was born November 14, 1966 in De Queen, Arkansas. He worked for the city of Dierks water department and was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church.
Mr. Stamps was preceded in death by his father Marvin Stamps.
He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Neesha and Devin Kirby of Umpire, Arkansas and Marci and Coltan Thomas of Bismarck, Arkansas; his mother and step-father, Rita and Nicky Schoolfield of Lockesburg, Arkansas; three brothers, Marvin and Roseanne Stamps of De Queen, Arkansas, Billy and Frankie Stamps, Troy and Brenda Stamps all of Dierks, Arkansas; four sisters; Francis and Kenneth Lee of Lockesburg, Arkansas, Marylen, and Harold Coleman, Shidy Stamps, Penny and Phillip Burgess all of Dierks; four grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday September 10, 2021 in the Dierks Cemetery with Gary Welch officiating under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.
Danita Lynn Dorsey
Ms. Danita Lynn Dorsey, age 66, resident of De Queen, Arkansas, passed peacefully from this life on Saturday, September 4, 2021, in Ashdown, Arkansas.
Danita was born one of eight children to the union of Claude Thomas and Babe Ruth Chandler Dorsey on February 25, 1955, in Los Angeles County, California. Danita was a member of the Horatio First Assembly of God Church and, for many years, attended the Sevier County Development Center. She enjoyed puzzle books, crossword puzzles, shelling peas and pecans, and raking leaves. Although she never learned to ride a bicycle, Danita always enjoyed pushing her siblings bicycles up and down the street or around the block. Danita cherished the time spent with her siblings, nieces, nephews, and her favorite pup – Bear Bear.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Ruth Dorsey; and two sisters, Diane Holden and Claudette Taylor.
Danita leaves to cherish her loving memory, three brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard Dorsey of De Queen, Billy and Donna Dorsey of Haworth, and Mark and Robin Dorsey of De Queen; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Lana Jo and Larry Vickers of De Queen, and Tommi and Rob Smith of De Queen; a special friend, Leanora “Lee Lee” Scott; as well as her loving nieces and nephews, and her many friends and staff of the Sevier County Development Center.
Funeral Services for Ms. Danita Dorsey will be privately held with interment at Redmen Cemetery, De Queen. General viewing will be held from 11:00 A.M., to 5:00 P.M., Tuesday, September 7, 2021, in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Arrangements are entrusted to Chandler Funeral Home of De Queen.
