Junior Franklin Janes
Mr. Junior Franklin Janes, age 81, a resident of Dierks, Arkansas died Friday, September 3, 2021 in Wadley Regional Medical Center in Texarkana, Texas.

He was born March 12, 1940 to Jewell and Wavie Morris Janes in Jefferson Township in Sevier County, Arkansas. He was self-employed, a U.S. Army veteran and a member of Daisy Freewill Baptist Church,

Mr. Janes was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Patricia Janes; two sons and daughters-in-law, Greg and Shana Janes of Dierks and Chris and Kristi Janes also of Dierks; one granddaughter, Quincy Alexander and husband Cole of Dierks; one grandson, Lain Janes of Pocahontas, Arkansas; two great-grandsons, Treaton and Barrett Alexander and two great-granddaughters, Annsley Alexander and Drew Janes. five brothers, Jimmy Dean Janes of Lockesburg, Arkansas, Harold Wayne Janes and wife Charlotte and Stacy Janes and wife Ashley, all of Dierks, Herschel Janes and wife Faye of De Queen and Wendell Hogg and wife Judy of Newhope, Arkansas; five sisters, Wanda Kirkpatrick and Roy Jo Janes both of Dierks, Jo Pat Binotti and husband Corky of Marshall, Texas, Juanita Williams of De Queen and Ester Herring of Wickes, Arkansas; one sister-in-law, Joetta Morgan of Hot Springs, Arkansas, one aunt, MaeDean McSpadden of Dierks and a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Graveside funeral services for Mr. Janes will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 11, 2021 in Black Springs Cemetery in Norman, Arkansas with Kevin Jewell officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in Dierks.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, September 10th at the funeral home in Dierks. The family requests that everyone wear a face mask and practice social distancing for safety.

Miss Miley Martz
Miss Miley Delle Martz was born silently into the world on Thursday, September 2, 2021, in Texarkana, Texas.

She is preceded in death by two great-grandfathers, Ed Carver and Bobby Dale Martz.

Miley leaves to cherish her everlasting memory, her parents, Andrew Robert and Catlin Nicole Carver Martz of Lockesburg; grandparents, Lance and Sandi Carver of Nashville, Robert and Bobbie Jo Martz of Lockesburg, Crystal Royal of Lockesburg, and Brandie Posey of De Queen; great-grandparents, Emma Ruth Carver of Lockesburg, and Sandra and Gerald Hubrel of Lockesburg; as well as a number of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and family friends.

Graveside Funeral Services for Miss Miley Martz will be held at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, September 5, 2021, at Falls Chapel Cemetery with Bro. Kenny Polk officiating. Funeral Arrangements are entrusted to Chandler Funeral Home of De Queen.

Arthur Junior Humphrey
Mr. Arthur Junior Humphrey, age 75, of Lockesburg, Arkansas, passed from this life on Wednesday, September 1, 2021, in Ashdown, Arkansas.

Arthur was born the second of three children to Robert Lewis Humphrey and Martha Louise Maxwell Humphrey on February 17, 1946. He was a 1964 graduate of Lockesburg High School and later received a technical certificate in brickwork. Arthur faithfully served his country with the United States Army. He worked in the timber industry for many years and later with scrap metal. Arthur enjoyed working, gardening, his cats, and spending time with his loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Robert Lee Humphrey, Jarvis Dedner, and Rodney Bernard Dedner; and two sisters, Rose Cornelius, and Nancy Harris.

Arthur leaves to cherish his loving memory, one son and daughter-in-law, Nathan and Laura Humphrey of Atlanta, Texas; one daughter, Odelia Carol Humphrey of Salt Lake City, Utah; one brother, James Earl Humphrey of Amarillo, Texas; five sisters, Martha Kaye Dedner of Camden, Arkansas, Janet Jones and husband Edward of Delight, Arkansas, Neever Martinez of De Queen, Wanda Dedner of Rockwall, Texas, and Miriam Dedner of McKinney, Texas; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral Services for Mr. Arthur Humphrey will be held at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, September 12, 2021, in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Sonny Parson officiating. Burial, with military honors, will follow at Williamson Cemetery in Lockesburg. The family will receive friends from 12:00 P.M., Noon, until service time Sunday, at the funeral home. Funeral Arrangements are entrusted to Chandler Funeral Home of De Queen.

Elmer Lee Proctor
Mr. Elmer Lee Proctor, age 79, a resident of Winthrop, Arkansas died Thursday, September 2, 2021 at his home.

He was born December 7, 1941 in Miller County, Arkansas. Mr. Proctor worked for Valliant paper mill, he was a United States Navy veteran and member of King Ryder Church of Christ.

Mr. Proctor was preceded in death by his parents, Warney Floyd and Georgia Douglas Proctor and one brother, Floyd Proctor.

He is survived by his wife, Christina Clowers Proctor; one daughter, Angela Stevenson and husband Billy of Winthrop; one granddaughter, Kristen Smith and husband Jantzen of Foreman, AR; three great grandchildren, Brinlee Joe, Bentlea Jade, Bradlea Jayce; one special grandson, Shane Tallant; three sisters Lucille Brantley and husband Bobby of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, Bobbie Brantley and husband Rudolph of Broken Bow, and Maurice Smith of Ashdown; one brother, Johnny Proctor and wife Faye of Tom, Oklahoma; several nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Proctor will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 6, 2021 at King Ryder Church of Christ near Crossroads with James McRae officiating. Burial will follow in the Pauley Cemetery, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.

The family requests that everyone wear a face mask and practice social distancing for safety.

Brenda Sue Higgins McDonald
Mrs. Brenda Sue Higgins McDonald, age 73, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas died Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at her home.

She was born March 13, 1948 in Kellum, Arkansas. She was a retired beautician and worked for Pilgrim’s Pride were she was a cafeteria supervisor. One of her greatest joys was being “Nana” to her grandchildren, Kara, Kolt, Judson, Ellie, Kady.

Mrs. McDonald was preceded in death by her parents, W.E. “Bill” and Ellan “Skeete” Anz Higgins; her husband, James Henry “Jim” McDonald; one brother, Carl “Blue” Higgins and one sister, Geraldine Branson.

She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Shelly and Carlton Richardson of Wickes, AR, and Courtney and Robby Ray of Horatio, AR; one son and daughter-in-law, James “Hooch” and Amy McDonald of Winthrop, AR; two sisters, Jane Sims and Linda “Polly” Sullivan; two brothers, Darrell Higgins and Dalton Higgins all of De Queen; five grandchildren, Kara Richardson, Kolt Richardson, Judson Ray, Ellie Ray, Kady Ray.

Funeral services for Mrs. McDonald will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 4, 2021 at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel in De Queen with Bobby Fischer officiating. Burial will follow in the Pauley Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time on Saturday.

The family requests that everyone wear a face mask and practice social distancing for safety.

Henry Brown McCauley
Mr. Henry Brown McCauley, age 83, resident of Grannis, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 29, 2021 at the Howard Memorial Hospital in Nashville, AR.

He was born on August 12, 1947 to Hester Devine in Hatfield, AR. He was married to Wathenia Wilcher McCauley on June 23, 1967. They had recently celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary. Henry and Wathenia were members of the Wickes Pentecostal Church. Together they had three children. Renae McCauley Combs, Kim McCauley Kennedy, Henry Andrew “Andy” McCauley. Henry had one daughter from a previous marriage Terry Mora. He enjoyed fishing, having coffee on the front porch with Wathenia while watching the birds and wildlife, playing with the grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and telling stories of his childhood growing up in Hatfield, California and Oregon.

Henry was preceded in death by his mother, Hester Devine; one brother, Kenneth McCauley; one sister Jesse Lee Kesterson; and his son Andy McCauley.

Henry leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 54 years Wathenia McCauley of Wickes; sister Mary Lou Watson of Sheridan, AR; three daughters and sons-in-law, Terry Mora and Richard of Carrolton, TX, Renae Combs and Jason of Daphne, AL, Kim Kennedy and Ben of Franklinton, LA; daughter-in-law Jessica McCauley of Conway, AR; 10 grandchildren, Ashley, Josh, Vince, Kristen, Kimberlee, Alex, Duncan, Heather, Windy and Samantha; 18 Great grandchildren; Sister-in-law Anita Watson, as well as nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Funeral Services for Henry McCauley will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 6, 2021, at Wickes Pentecostal Church with Pastor Christopher Burke and Pastor Duke Chance officiating. Burial will follow at Crystal Hill Cemetery in Wickes. Funeral Arrangements are entrusted to Chandler Funeral Home of De Queen. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M., Sunday, at the funeral home.

Edna Marie Dinger
Edna Marie Dinger, age 77, a resident of Bokoshe, Oklahoma formerly of De Queen, Arkansas died Saturday, August 21, 2021 at her home.

She was born July 27, 1944 in Vancouver, Canada. Edna was a homemaker and loved to read and spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Edna was a wonderful mother and best friend to her children. She impacted many life’s and showered love and care to so many. I found this quote that reminds me of her so I wish to share it with everyone; “When we lose someone we love, we must learn not to live without them, but to live with the love They left Behind.”
All of us here love you Edna Marie Dinger and you will never be forgotten ~ Your loving family and friends.

Edna was preceded in death by her parents, Author and Alice Summers Frasch and her husband, Jackie Wayne Dinger.

She is survived by two daughters, Alice Box and Dawn Tutton and one son, Mark Dinger; seven grandchildren, Randy Sims, Jesse Sims, Megan Hammer, Taylor Ray, Timmy Tutton, Caleb Kissinger and Dustin Dinger and a number of great grandchildren.

A graveside memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Sweet Home Cemetery in De Queen with Bro. Floyd Wright officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.
