Kenneth Dale Phillips
Kenneth Dale Phillips, age 78, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas, died Wednesday, January 13, 2021, at his home.

He was born May 8, 1942, in De Queen, Arkansas. He was a computer programmer and a member of De Queen Church of Christ. He was retired from Merchants and Marine Bank, in Pascagoula, MS and De Queen School District. Family was his heart and soul; it always came first. He meant what he said and said what he meant and was a faithful, loving husband, father, and a loyal friend.

Mr. Phillips was preceded in death by his parents, S.T. and Nona Mae McRae Phillips and one brother, Sammy Don Phillips.

He is survived by his wife Marlyn Stewart Phillips; one daughter, Tina Phillips of Searcy, Arkansas; one son, S.T. Phillips of Gautier, MS; two grandsons, Dakota White of Searcy, AR and Dylan Phillips of Searcy; one sister-in-law, Pauline Phillips of Winnsboro, TX, a number of nieces and nephews, and many other family members and friends.

Graveside funeral services for Mr. Phillips will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 18, 2021, at Chapel Hill Cemetery with Toney Stowers, minister officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home, De Queen.

The family requests that everyone wear a face mask and practice social distancing for safety.

Stephen Lamar Glaze
Stephen Lamar Glaze, age 59, a resident of Mineral Springs, Arkansas died Wednesday, January 13, 2021, at his home.

He was born July 26, 1961, in Thibodaux, Louisiana. Mr. Glaze enjoyed boating, fishing, camping, hunting, gardening, working outside and loved spending time with his family. He was a technician for Engineered Products, Mulay Plastics, and Georg Fischer. He was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church in Bossier City, LA.

Mr. Glaze was preceded in death by his father, Ervin Lamar Glaze and his mother and stepfather, Clyde Marie (Clydie) Glaze Scott and Bo Scott; one sister, Cynthia (Cindy) Glaze Cox; one brother, Jeffery Wayne Glaze; one stepsister, Lisa Byrnes; one grandson, Malakai Mitchell Glaze; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Loyce and Mary Elaine Doughty; two brothers-in-law, Paul and David Doughty.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Sue Doughty Glaze; one daughter, Tasha Glaze of Nacogdoches, TX; one stepdaughter, Lacy Elaine Budd and husband Doug of Mineral Spring; one stepson, Kristopher Crocker of Bossier City, LA; granddaughters, Alexis Nichole Dupree, Katie Sue Budd, Stormy Lee Ann Crocker; two grandsons, Nicholas Tre Dupree, Johnathan Stephen Budd; one sister and brother-in-law, Terry and Eddie Hughes of De Queen; one stepbrother, Larry Scott and wife Pat; two nieces, Tiffany Jamison and husband Lance, Brandy Tarver and husband Jessie; three great nieces, Emma Pope, Alex Pope, Brianna Cox; one great great niece, Ellie Cos; four nephews and their families, Shane Hughes, Dylan Pederson, Chris Scott and Jay Scott, great nephew, James Braydon Boone; two brothers-in-law, Ken and Beverly Doughty and Mark and Dochia Doughty and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

General viewing for Mr. Glaze will be held 12:00 – 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 17, 2021 at the Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Mr. Glaze will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 17, 2021, in the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Gary Welch officiating. Cremation will follow.

Enola Wagnon
Enola Wagnon, age 89, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas, died Tuesday, January 12, 2021, in Heath, Texas.

She was born February 19, 1931, in De Queen, Arkansas. She married Don Raymond Wagnon on January 1, 1949. They were married for 57 years before his death in 2006. Mrs. Wagnon was a loving, gentle and kind wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was a supporter of and a long time member and Treasurer of The Cossatot Arts and Crafts Association (CACA). She loved antiquing, auctions and attending estate and garage sales. She and her husband owned and operated Don’s Drive In, where she earned the reputation of making the best burgers in town. She loved spending time with family and friends. One of her greatest joys was watching her great-grandsons play.

Mrs. Wagnon was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Thelma Churchman, her husband, Don Raymond Wagnon, and two brothers, John Churchman and Paul Churchman.

She is survived by two sisters, Golda Chaney and Jo Ann Jarrell; two daughters, Anita Sims (Byron) and Dondi Wagnon; grandchildren, Joshua Sims (Jessyca) and Summer Stone (Joe); three great-grandsons, Rylan Sims, Wyatt Stone and Levi Stone.

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Wagnon will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 16, 2021, at Valley Cemetery with Tony Bob Ray officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home, De Queen.

General viewing will be held from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Friday, January 15, 2021 at the funeral home.

The family requests that everyone wear a face mask and practice social distancing for safety.

Mr. David Hughes
Mr. David Arthur Hughes, age 80, resident of De Queen, Arkansas, passed from this life on Wednesday, January 13, 2021, in Texarkana, Texas.

David was the youngest of seven children born to Webster Tim Hughes, Sr. and Gertrude Forrest Green Hughes on May 5, 1940, in Lockesburg, Arkansas. He faithfully served his country with the United States Army and was a heavy equipment operator for Austin Bridge Company until his retirement. David married the love of his life, Linda Carol Hohmann, on August 22, 1983 in Ashdown, Arkansas. He and Linda attended the First United Methodist Church of Horatio. David enjoyed fishing and hunting, but most of all, he cherished the time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Webster Tim Hughes, Jr., James Hughes, and Quinlin Hughes; and one sister, Mary Alice Talley.

David leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of over 37 years, Linda Hughes of De Queen; four sons and two daughters-in-law, David Randall and Sue Hughes of Texarkana, Arkansas, Ronald and Shada Hughes of De Queen, Fred Park and Jeff Park, both of Texas; three daughters and sons-in-law, Jayne and Randy Cole of Gillham, Rhonda and Mike Pitts of Foreman, and Karen and Danny Cunningham of De Queen; six grandchildren, Levi, Jordan, Jodie, Kolby, Katie and Kory; one great-granddaughter, Addie Mae; one brother and sister-in-law, Joe Norris and Martha Hughes of Broken Bow, Oklahoma; one sister, Margaret Smith of Quinlan, Texas; as well as, nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Graveside Services for Mr. David Hughes will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, January 15, 2021 at Millwee Cemetery, Horatio, with Bro. John Henry Williams officiating. Burial will follow, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen. Viewing will be general.

Terry Cornell Wester
Terry Cornell Wester, age 73, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas died Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at his home.

He was born November 10, 1947, in De Queen, Arkansas. Mr. Wester was a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of the Cossatot Arts and Crafts Association and Living Water Fellowship Church.

Mr. Wester was preceded in death by his parents Kirby Terry and Marjorie Marcell Smith Wester and his wife Suzie Wester.

He is survived by his two sisters, Carol Ross of Horatio, AR and Stella Ione Wester Pitts of Horatio; his best friend boots and a number of nieces and nephews.

General viewing for Mr. Wester will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Friday, January 15, 2021 at the Funeral Home in De Queen.

Graveside service for Mr. Wester will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 16, 2021 in Shady Grove Cemetery in Gillham, AR, with Bobby Tatum and Floyd Wright Jr. officiating under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.

Mr. William Richardson, Jr.
Mr. William Burton Richardson, Jr., age 70, resident of Glenwood, Arkansas, and former resident of De Queen, passed from this life on Monday, January 11, 2021 in Hot Springs, Arkansas.

He was born to William Burton Richardson, Sr. and Lucy Elizabeth Turnage Richardson on December 12, 1950 in Myrtle Point, Oregon. He proudly served his country with United States Army and was a truck driver. William enjoyed the time spent with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife, Diana Lynn Tubbs Richardson.

He leaves to cherish his memory, two sons, William Robert “Bobby” Richardson of New Hope, and Brian Richardson and wife Juana of Greenville, Texas; one daughter, Tammy Richardson of Dierks; three grandchildren; three brothers, Roger Richardson and wife Beulah of Y City, Ricky Richardson of Dierks, and Terry Richardson of Waldron; as well as, other relatives and friends.

Memorial Services for Mr. William Richardson, Jr. will announced at a later time. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen.

Viki Sue Casey
Mrs. Viki Sue Vasser Casey, age 66, resident of De Queen, Arkansas, passed from this life on Saturday, January 9, 2021, in the CHRISTUS St. Michael Health System, Texarkana, Texas.

Viki was the younger of two daughters born to Prebble Author “Vic” and Hazel Ruth Moorman Vasser on November 1, 1954, in Houston, Texas. She was a graduate of New Caney High School, New Caney, Texas, and married the love of her life, Gary Clyde Casey, on November 1, 1995, in De Queen. Viki was retired and most recently worked as a clerk for Pruett’s Foods in De Queen. Gary and Viki are members of Kern Heights Baptist Church in De Queen. She was very active with the senior classes at Kern Heights and also faithfully served with the Prayer and Worship Team. Viki was very creative and enjoyed making crafts, and liked to Snuba in Florida, but most of all, she cherished the time spent with her loving family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Viki leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband of over 26 years, Gary Casey of De Queen; one daughter and son-in-law, Amber and J.T. Fortner of Ormond Beach, Florida; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Bob Miley of Fayetteville, and Dan and Jennifer McNab of Texarkana; and Matthew Casey of Pine Bluff; five grandchildren, Sydney, Adison, Emily, Aidan and Catherine; one sister and brother-in-law, Jerry and Conrad Mickel of Katy, Texas; as well as, her Kern Heights Church Family, other relatives and a host of friends.

Graveside Services for Mrs. Viki Casey will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Chapel Hill Cemetery, De Queen, with Bro. Bobby Fischer and Elmer Hamel officiating. Burial will follow, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen. The family will receive friends for a walk-through visitation from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M., Wednesday, at the funeral home.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Billy Pritchett, J.T. Fortner, Jill Wetzel, Deborah Fischer, and Nita Hamel.

The use of face mask or covering will be required during your time at the funeral home. Please adhere to social distancing guidelines while at the cemetery.
