Mary Minor
Mrs. Mary Charlene Miller Minor, age 80, resident of De Queen, Arkansas, passed peacefully from this life on Sunday, January 3, 2021, in De Queen.
Mary was one of three children born to Thomas Jefferson and Dixie Belle Crunk Miller on August 26, 1940 in Winthrop, Arkansas. She married the love of her life, Charles E. Minor, on August 25, 1956 in De Queen, and to this union, three children were born. Mary and Charles owned and operated Minor’s Janitorial Service and were members of Memorial Missionary Baptist Church in De Queen. She enjoyed fishing, cooking, caring for her family, and could shop until she dropped, but most of all, Mary cherished the time spent with her family, especially her grandbabies.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of over 43 years, Charles E. Minor; one son, Tommy Minor; and a special great-grandson, Carter Paul Rogers.
Mary leaves to cherish her memory, one son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Pat Minor of De Queen; one daughter and son-in-law, Mary Sue and Raymond Rogers of De Queen; five grandchildren and their spouses, Danny and Kristina Rogers of Orlando, Randy and Jennifer Rogers of Maumelle, Joey and Neisha Rogers of De Queen, P.J. and Sharla Minor of De Queen, and Danielle and Jonathan Dooley of De Queen; ten great-grandchildren, Alyssa and D.J. Rogers of Orlando, Parker and Maddie Rogers of Maumelle, Reed and Rhett Rogers of De Queen, Lexie, Landrie, and Livie Faye Minor of De Queen, and Abigail Dooley of De Queen; two sisters, Shirley Williams and Joanne Brizendine, both of De Queen; as well as, nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Mary Minor will be held at 3:30 P.M., Tuesday, January 5, 2020 at the Redmen Cemetery Pavilion with Bro. Jason Carlton officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen. General viewing will be held from 11:00 A.M., to 5:00 P.M., Monday, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000 Dept. 142, Memphis, Tennessee 38101-9908, in memory of Carter Paul Rogers.
The use of face mask or covering will be required during your time at the funeral home and funeral service.
John Carroll Dowdy
Mr. John Carroll Dowdy, age 87, a resident of Nashville, Arkansas, died Friday, January 1, 2021 at a Texarkana hospital.
He was born December 21, 1933 in Nashville, son of the late Lawrence B. Dowdy and Ila Bertilea Edwards. John was a 1951 Graduate of Dierks High School. He was employed by Weyerhaeuser Company for 37 years. Mr. Dowdy was an Army veteran, where he was a marksman and traveled around the world competing in shooting competitions. John was a Baptist and enjoyed spending time with his family and watching wildlife around his home.
Mr. Dowdy was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Dwayne Dowdy and a sister, Shirley Dowdy Wilson.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Martha Jones Dowdy of Nashville; a son, Jon Paul Dowdy of Bentonville, Arkansas; a daughter and son-in-law Randy and Angie Lewis of Nashville; one granddaughter, Brenna Claire Lewis of Nashville.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 4, 2021 at County Line Cemetery in Nashville with Bro. Butch Mitchell officiating under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in Dierks, Arkansas.
General viewing will be held from 4:00-8:00 p.m., Sunday, January 3rd at the funeral home in Dierks.

Russell Clemmet Hughes
Russell (Tiny) Clemmet Hughes, age 41, a resident of Lockesburg, Arkansas died Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at his home.
He was born January 6, 1979, in Murfreesboro, Arkansas. Mr. Hughes enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family, he attended Overton Full Gospel Holy Temple Church in Overton, Texas.
Mr. Hughes was preceded in death by his mother, Lynn Rena Parker Ward; grandparents, Troy and Janice Parker and uncle, Taylor Parker.
He is survived by his partner Karen Horton, Stepfather, Wendell Ward, sister Paige Ward; step brothers, Jacob Ward, Jon Ward, Braxton Ward and step-sisters, Sylvia Ward and Santana Klein; one aunt, Terri Parker and adoptive “mother” Tammie Ward.
General viewing for Mr. Hughes will be held from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., Saturday, January 2, 2021 at the Funeral Home in De Queen. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m., in Sunshine Cemetery in Dierks, AR, with Gary Welch officiating under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.

Dustin Lamar Hill
Dustin Lamar Hill, age 36, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas died Tuesday, December 29, 2020, in Texarkana, Texas.
He was born June 26, 1984, in De Queen, Arkansas. He enjoyed playing video games, hunting and fishing and was a member of the Louisville Baptist Temple in Louisville, Kentucky.
Mr. Hill was preceded in death by his father, Richard Hill and his great grandparents, Laymond and Mary Phillips.
He is survived by his mother Tammy Sue Guinn; one brother, Devin and Sarai Llanito of De Queen; his “adopted” twin brothers, Cruiz and Jeremiah Grant of De Queen; one sister, Teresa Jordan of De Queen; his two grandmothers, Dixie Hill of De Queen and Eva Joyce Casey of Louisville, Kentucky, and a number of aunts, uncles, cousins and a number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services for Mr. Hill will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 30, 2020, at Chapel Hill Cemetery with Elder Richard Carr officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home, De Queen.

Shonda Wagner
Shonda Rynell Webb Wagner, age 50, a resident of Manvel, TX. Died Tuesday, December 22, 2020, in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
She was born August 27, 1970, in Nashville, Arkansas. Mrs. Wagner was a paralegal for the Veterans administration, and she was a licensed real estate agent. Mrs. Wagner was Christian and attended the South View Baptist Church in Rosharon, TX.. She loved to travel and she was a devoted daughter, wife, mother and grandmother.
Mrs.Wagner was preceded in death by her grandparents, Robert and Grace Sharp and Rena Webb.
She is survived by her parents Jimmy Webb of Provo, Arkansas, Fran Jones of Texarkana and her loving husband Dwaine Wagner of Manvel, TX; son and daughter-in-law, Alex and Alfa Dickinson and grandchildren, Lianna and Darren of Stafford, Virginia, step daughter Samantha Wagner and fiancé Jessie Pollard; grandchildren, Destiny and Serenity of Rosharon, TX; one sister, Larenda Webb and partner, Sabrena Jackson of Hitchcock, TX. and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
General viewing for Mrs. Wagner will be held from 12:00 – 1:30 p.m., Thursday, December 31, 2020 at Greens Chapel Methodist Church. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m., in Greens Chapel Cemetery with Kevin Herrington officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.

Barbara Jean Hopkins
Barbara Jean Hopkins, age 78, a resident of De Queen, died Monday, December 28, 2020 in Texarkana, Texas.
She was born February 4, 1942 in St. Mary’s, Ohio. Mrs. Hopkins was a caregiver, enjoyed butterflies, collecting natural rocks and making jewelry.
Mrs. Hopkins was preceded in death by her mother Eileen Amanda Kettler Baker; one daughter, Catherine (Cattie) Willey and one grandson, Heath F. Willard.
She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Robin and Kenneth Cowley of Horatio and ToniMarie Kettler of Wichita, Kansas; ten grandchildren, AmandaMae Jean Willey, Samantha Willey, Aaron Willey, Christopher Cowley, Chase Cowley, Colby Cowley, Meagan Kettler, Mackenzie Kettler, Dylan Reinecker and Whitney Reinecker; seven great-grandchildren and a special friend Dave Waters.
Memorial service for Mrs. Hopkins will be held 1:00 p.m., Friday, January 8, 2021 at the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel in De Queen with Ann Holley officiating.

Ronald Wayne Murphy
Ronald Wayne Murphy, age 76, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas died Sunday, December 27, 2020, in his home.
He was born March 27, 1944, in De Queen, Arkansas. He was a truck driver; served in the Air Force as B52 mechanic and flight instructor. He was also a Dirt track racer for Honda. Ron and Donna managed a Honda shop in Lubbock, Texas where Ron worked as a mechanic. He enjoyed playing the guitar and singing. In later years he enjoyed time with family and used his musical talents for Gods ministry.
Mr. Murphy was preceded in death by his parents Dale and Bernice Cowling Murphy and his wife Donna Murphy in 2011.
He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Tara Murphy of De Queen; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kim and Jeff Watson of Texarkana, Arkansas and Micki and Jimmy Copeland of Broken Bow, Oklahoma; one sister, Anita Murphy of De Queen; five grandchildren, Jayden and Jordan Murphy, Zoey McElroy, Jessica, Caudle and Josh Copeland and one great grandson, Jace Roberts.
Graveside services for Mr. Murphy will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 31, 2020, at Redmen Cemetery Pavilion, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.
General viewing for Mr. Murphy will be held 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at the Funeral Home.
