Carolyn Ann Vance
Carolyn Ann Chaney Vance, age 59, a resident of Gillham, Arkansas, died Thursday, December 24, 2020 in Little Rock, AR.
She was born April 9, 1961 in Spokane, Washington. Mrs. Vance loved reading, playing games and spending time with her family; she was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church of De Queen.
Mrs. Vance was preceded in death by her parents, James George and Dessie Vern Carter Chaney; one brother, James F. Chaney and one great nephew, Steven Daniel Maish.
She is survived by her husband Larry Vance; two sons, Shane Vance of Horatio, AR and James Vance of Gillham; one sister and brother-in-law, Kathy and Danny Bivins of Gillham and two nieces, Nichole Maish and fiancé Jeffery James of Gillham and Vanessa Abney of Hot Springs and one great special niece, Hannah “Biddy” Maish; two great niece and nephew, Megan Abney and Richard Michad Maish; one sister-in-law, Jeri Chaney and one special friend, Tonya McKiddy.
Memorial service for Mrs. Vance will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Josh Herweck officiating.

Jackie Louise Icenhower
Jackie Louise Icenhower, age 57, of Texarkana, Texas, died Monday, December 21, 2020, in Christus St. Michaels, Texarkana, TX.
Jackie was born February 6, 1963, in Mena, Arkansas to MC Frachiseur and Rena Reid Frachiseur. She graduated from Gillham High School and met her husband and high school sweetheart, Kenneth, while attending Holly Grove Baptist, in Grannis, Arkansas, where his father was the pastor. They were married for thirty-eight joyful years.
Jackie earned her bachelor’s degree from then East Texas State University before obtaining her master’s degree from Texas Women’s University. She taught English for many years at local schools including NAI, Arkansas High School and Redwater High School. For the last fifteen years, she served as the director for the Atlanta Public Library, Atlanta, Texas.
Jackie was involved in many civic groups including the Daughters of the American Revolution, Daughters of the Confederacy, and the Atlanta Rotary Club. She was a member of the Sweet Adelines women’s singing group of Four States Fusion and absolutely loved family vacations at her favorite beach in Dauphin Island, Alabama.
An accomplished seamstress, Jackie who was known as “Sugar” to her granddaughters, had already begun teaching them to quilt and sew. She made many beautiful quilts through the years which are now treasures for her family. Along with quilting, she enjoyed needlework, tatting, and crocheting as well.
Jackie was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, David Frachiseur.
Survivors include her loving husband, Kenneth Icenhower of Texarkana; her children, Jeri Ward and her husband, Jerry of Paris, Texas, Reid Icenhower and Molly Icenhower both of Texarkana; two granddaughters, Ella Ward and Audrey Ward of Paris, Texas; five siblings and their spouses, Kathy Weston and husband Jim of Sidney, Arkansas, Richard Frachiseur and wife Anetta of Grannis, Arkansas, Gwen Lavender of Texarkana, Arkansas, Bonita Smith and husband Walter of De Queen, Arkansas and Roberta Youngblood and husband Terry of Watson, Oklahoma and sister-in-law Elizabeth Frachiseur of Grannis; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Viewing will be from 1:00 until 2:00 pm, Monday, December 28, 2020, at Holly Grove Cemetery, 950 Frachiseur Road, Grannis, Arkansas.
Graveside funeral service will be at 2:00 pm with Rev. Joe Owens and Rev. Micah Mauldin officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Chapelwood Funeral Home, Wake Village, TX.
Mary Janice Tadlock
Mary Janice Roberts Tadlock, age 79, a resident of Grannis, Arkansas died Monday, December 21, 2020, in Wickes.
She was born August 28, 1941, in Paris, Texas. Mrs. Tadlock was a USDA inspector, and she was a Christian and a member of the First Baptist Church in Grannis for 45 years.
Mrs. Tadlock was preceded in death by her parents Clarence Harvey and Ruth Estelle Edmonds Roberts and her husband Elvin Tadlock.
She is survived by her three children and their spouses, Mary and Alan Frachiseur of Grannis; Paul and Melinda Tadlock of Wickes, Arkansas and Bobbie and Michael Morgan of Chouteau, Oklahoma; one brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Betty Roberts of Wright City, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren, Joey Morris, Jimmy and Casey Morris, Josh Tadlock, Jennifer and Jacob Harrington, Jessica and Skyler DeCoster, Whitney and Jon Bailey, Cheyenne Morgan, Michann and Blake McGee and Tyler and Kim Frachiseur and eighteen great grandchildren.
Graveside services for Mrs. Tadlock will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 26, 2020, at Grannis Cemetery with Bro. John Wisinger officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home, De Queen.

Floyd Fant
Floyd “Samp” Fant, age 96, a resident of Lockesburg, Arkansas died Monday, December 21, 2020, in Ashdown, AR.
He was born July 20, 1924, in Newhope, Arkansas. Mr. Fant was a U.S. Army WWII Veteran, was retired from Weyerhaeuser, and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Lockesburg. He was a farmer, avid hunter, fisherman and he and his wife enjoyed camping for many years.
Mr. Fant was preceded in death by his parents Carlos Eugene Sr. and Mary E. Simmons Fant and his wife Billie Faye Fant; five brothers, Loy Fant, Gene Fant, Hershel Fant and Dean Fant; two sisters Athel June Fant Ayers and Geneva Mack.
He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Candi Fant of Lockesburg; two grandsons, Justin Fant and (Samantha) and Tyler Fant all of Lockesburg; one great granddaughter, Dalleigh Fant.
Funeral services for Mr. Fant will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 23, 2020, at Lockesburg First Baptist Church with Bro. Jerrel Helms and Bro. John Henry Williams officiating.
Burial will follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Lockesburg, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.
General viewing for Mr. Fant will be held 11:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home Tuesday, December 22, 2020.

Jimmy Wayne Samuels, Sr
Mr. Jimmy Wayne Samuels, Sr., age 67, resident of De Queen, Arkansas, passed from this life on Sunday, December 20, 2020, at his residence.
He was born to James Edward and Selma Deaton Samuels on August 7, 1953 in Newport, Arkansas. Jimmy married the love of his life, Rebecca Lynn Goodwin, on May 20, 1980 in Texarkana. Jimmy worked 20 years for the Sevier County Farmer’s Co-op and most recently in maintenance for the De Queen School District. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening, but most of all, he cherished the time spent with Rebecca, their children and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant grandson, Kyler Samuels; and two brothers, Charles Samuels and Kenneth Samuels.
Jimmy is survived by his loving wife of over 40 years, Rebecca Samuels of De Queen; three sons, Jimmy Samuels, Jr. of De Queen, Arkansas, Billy Samuels and wife Sarah of Cabot, Arkansas, and Joseph Samuels and wife Stacie of Hot Springs, Arkansas; nine grandchildren, Brayden, Annalise, Tanner, Bella, Isaiah, Piper, Charlie, Roman, and Willow; one brother, Benny Samuels of De Queen, Arkansas; one sister, Marie Whitley and husband Bob of Texarkana; as well as, nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Memorial Services for Mr. Jimmy Samuels, Sr. will be held at a later time. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen.
Blanch Crow
Blanch Crow, age 96, of Daisy, passed away on Saturday, December 12, 2020.
She was born on January 23, 1924 in Daisy, the daughter of Charlie A. Tedder and Annie Florence Shannon Tedder. On May 5, 1940, she was married to Astor Crow who preceded her in death on March 8, 2011. She was also preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Erma Jones; and her brothers, Herbert Tedder and Edgar Tedder.
She was a lifetime resident of Daisy and member of the Mount Joy Free Will Baptist Church. She worked hard caring for her household and loved being with her family and friends.
She is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Kenneth Crow of Daisy and John and Rita Crow of Benton; two grandchildren, Melissa Robertson and her husband, Mark, and David Crow; two great-grandchildren, Evan Robertson and McKenzie Robertson; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, December 20, 2020, in the Mount Joy Free Will Baptist Church with Bro. Raymond Dees officiating.
Visitation will be Saturday, 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM, at the funeral home.
Interment will be in the Mount Joy Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood.
Judie Faye Harrison
Mrs. Judie Faye Harrison, age 72, resident of De Queen, Arkansas, passed from this life on Tuesday, December 15, 2020, at her home.
Judie was one of four children born to Elvin Cleone Harrison, Sr. and Pauline Faye Wilson Harrison on September 20, 1948 at Fort Jackson, Columbia, South Carolina. She was a 1966 graduate of Milton High School in Alpharetta, Georgia. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse for a time before enlisting with the United States Navy. Judie faithfully served her country for 10 years as a Military Police Officer. Judie traveled the world and served in many countries during her time in the Navy. After her honorable discharge, she began working in customer service for New York Life Insurance Company. Judie married the love of her life, Georgia Lynn Bunde, in 2014 in Carbondale, Illinois. She and Georgia have shared 24 loving years together. Judie was an avid reader, and when she was able, loved traveling. More than anything, she cherished her time spent with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Jeremy Johnson in 1987; and one brother, Elvin C. Harrison, Jr.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving wife, Georgia Bunde of De Queen; one daughter, Aimee Erin Stark and husband Rodney of Wickes; four grandchildren, James, Grant, Eli and Hannah Stark, all of Wickes; one brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Barbara Harrison of Horatio; one sister and brother-in-law, Jackie and David Alves of De Queen; as well as, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Due to current health concerns, memorial services for Mrs. Judie Harrison will be held at a later time. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen.
