Adam Joseph Tollett
Adam Joseph Tollett, age 31, a resident of Horatio, Arkansas gained his heavenly wings Monday, September 7, 2020, at his home.
He was born March 3, 1989, in Port Arthur, Texas. Mr. Tollett was a member of Grace Baptist Church and was an Afghanistan veteran; he served nine years and seven months in the Air Force. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, fishing, camping and hunting.
Mr. Tollett was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Tollett and one brother, Aaron Watson.
He is survived by one brother and sister-in-law, Jess and Ashley Tollett of De Queen, Arkansas; four nieces, Erika Tollett and Zoey Tollett both of De Queen; Nikki Tollett of Camden, Arkansas; Torri and (Valente) Olalde of Horatio; and one great nephew, Tobias Olalde of Horatio.
Memorial services with full Military Honors for Mr. Tollett, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 12, 2020, at Grace Baptist Church with Tim Johnson officiating.
General visitation will be held Saturday, September 12, 2020 from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Grace Baptist Church. Cremation arrangements by Wilkerson Funeral Home.

Bobby Gene Miller
Bobby Gene Miller age 74, passed from this life on Monday, September 7, 2020.
Mr. Miller, was born July 27, 1946 in El Paso, Texas to Merritt and Inez Miller. He was 1964 graduate of De Queen High School and a 1970 graduate of Henderson University. He was an educator for 20 years as a teacher and coach. Later a saw-miller owner and then a full time farmer. He was a Christian and a member of First Baptist Church in De Queen. He loved coaching and hunting. Most of all he loved his family. He married the love of his life Sandra on August 17, 1968.
He was preceded in death by his parents Merritt and Inez Miller.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Sandra Poag Miller; one daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Lee Austin, one son, Rob Miller, 3 grandchildren, Ashley, Allie, Ricky; 3 great grandsons; Kaden, Gunner, Kieran and his 1st great granddaughter on the way; as well as three brothers and sisters-in-law; Phillip and Judy Miller, Larry and Genie Miller and Greg and Angela Miller; one sister and brother-in-law, Linda and James Hilborn; one aunt, Aline Nickerson as well as a number of nieces and nephews and other friends and family.
Funeral services for Mr. Miller, will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, September 11, 2020, at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Lockesburg with Bro. Rob Miller and Bro. Roy Conatser officiating. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Cemetery in De Queen under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.
General viewing will be held Thursday, September 10, 2020 from 4:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home in De Queen.

Mrs. Earlyne Bennett
Mrs. Ruth Earlyne McVay Bennett, age 95, resident of De Queen, Arkansas, passed from this life on Sunday, September 6, 2020 in Ashdown, Arkansas.
She was born to Earl T. and Ura Burns McVay on February 6, 1925 in De Queen, Arkansas. Earlyne received her RN license from Tri-State College in Louisiana and later completed her CRNA licensure in Fort Worth, Texas. She married the love of her life, Richard Paul Bennett, on May 19, 1946 in De Queen, and to this union, three daughters were born. She was a former member of the First United Methodist Church in Mansfield, Louisiana and was a member of the former First Presbyterian Church in De Queen. For many years, she and Paul spent time serving at the Chalice Cupboard. When she was able, Earlyne was an active member of the local AARP chapter. She enjoyed sewing, watching birds in her yard and reading, but most of all, she cherished the time spent with her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul Bennett; and one brother, Presley McVay.
She is survived by three daughters and a son-in-law, Kathie Chan of Denton, Texas, Edie Wright of De Queen, and Paula (Tony) Sanca of Mansfield, Louisiana; six grandchildren, Joe, Amanda, Erin, Joshua, Blake and Stephanie; as well as, sixteen great-grandchildren.
Graveside Services for Mrs. Earlyne Bennett will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, September 10, 2020 at the Redmen Cemetery Pavilion with Brent and Amanda Fairchild officiating. Burial will follow, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen. The family will receive friends for a come-and-go visitation, from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, at the funeral home.
Danny Lee Davis
Danny Lee Davis, 61, of Eagletown, Oklahoma passed from this life September 6, 2020. He was born on January 20, 1959, to Roy (DUDE) Lee Davis, and Ethel (Lawler) Davis in De Queen, Arkansas. He was number 3 of 7 children.
Danny had lived and worked in the West Otis area as a saw-miller, logger, farmer and rancher. He enjoyed coon hunting with his old dog Ranger, fishing with his brother and sister, and working with animals.
Danny was preceded in death by his mother, Ethel Davis and his father, Dude Davis; 2 brothers, Donnie and Doug Davis; 1 sister, Debra (TIG) Kessler; and 1 nephew, Clayton Cribb.
Danny leaves behind 1 brother, David Davis of Eagletown, OK; 1 sister, Devonne Cribb of Eagletown, OK and her 2 children, Jessica and Dustin; 1 sister, Dianne Chambless and husband Ricky of Ringold, OK and their 2 children, Paul and Kelly and her husband Chris Donaldson; 3 nephews, Steven, Matt, and Raymond (Tinky) Kessler; a special cousin, Cy Davis; along with several cousins and many good friends.
Graveside funeral services for Mr. Davis will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 9, 2020, at West Otis Cemetery with Cy Davis officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.

Gary L. Golden
Mr. Gary L. Golden, age 70, passed away September 4th, 2020 at one of his favorite places to be, the river house in Mayflower, AR. He was born June 3rd, 1950 in Hope, Arkansas to Leroy and Lola Golden. He was proceeded in death by his parents and his father in law, George N. Cox and mother in law, Aggie Cowart.
He is survived by the love of his life and wife of 49 years, Gaywyn. His daughter Gigi, husband Mike Roberts and son Grant, wife Gina Golden. His four grandkids, who affectionally called him G-Dad, Addison, Ansley, Luke, and Reed. Sisters Carlene, husband Wesley Clemons and Paula, husband Karmel Kuhn.
Gary was the first in his family to go to college, beginning at SAU where he met Gaywyn. After their marriage, he transferred to U of A, where he received a degree in Animal Science in 1974. Later, in 2012 he was named a Graduate of Distinction. Recently, he was honored to serve on the Board of Trustees at SAU.
He was Vice Chair and Chief Executive officer of First State Bank of De Queen, where he had worked since 2001. After every bank exam he considered retirement, but he loved his job and the people he worked alongside. He was a member of First Assembly of God Church in De Queen. Church was a priority in Gary’s life and he proudly served on committees, church boards, and was a deacon through the years.
Although Gary led a successful career, his greatest pride came from his family. He was so proud of them and told them all often. He spent many years calling the hogs with his family, usually leaving a game saying maybe next year. He enjoyed the annual family beach trip and looked forward to it all year. G-Dad was an encourager and he loved giving advice and life lessons. There was never a goodbye that didn’t end in “I love you”.
Gary believed in the power of prayer and it was a big part of his life. He loved the Lord with all his heart and was the spiritual leader of his household. He would pray with anyone at any time, loved being the one to bless the meal and prayed with his family every morning before leaving for work. He would tell us all now in our sadness, to take a deep breath, pray for God’s will and ask him to light our paths.
Funeral Services for Mr. Gary Golden will be held at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, September 6, 2020 at De Queen First Assembly of God with Pastor Ray Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow at Liberty Cemetery, Prescott, Arkansas, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Saturday, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial be made to Gideons International, P.O. Box 140800, Nashville, TN 37214-0800, in Mr. Gary Golden’s memory.

Kurt Farquhar
On September 4, 2020 this world lost a great loving man, and Heaven gained an amazing angel to watch over us all. Kurt Wayne Farquhar was an amazing husband, awesome daddy and loving Paw Paw or Pop to some; friend to all.
Kurt was born February 3, 1948 in Brenham, Texas to Robert and Nora Farquhar. He lived a very fulfilled life by loving our Lord. He didn’t know how to not be active. He worked at Lonestar, was a diesel mechanic for Weyerhaeuser for 20 years then went to Domtar where he retired after 22 more years. During all this time, he raised a farm, tended hay and anything you can think of, hunting and fishing for sure. From his time of being in the military service of traveling the world to driving all the way to Alaska, he loved seeing Gods beautiful paintings. He wasn’t afraid of any of that, but if you knew him well, you knew the only thing that he was afraid of was snakes.
He leaves behind his beloved wife Anita; a son, Kurt “Wayne” Farquhar and spouse Pam; a daughter Cindy Marlene and husband Kirk Williams; three grandsons, Colby Farquhar and spouse, Jessica of Salisaw, Oklahoma, Jesse Farquhar and spouse Candace of Belair, Washington, Chance Pearson of Lockesburg and fiancé Kayla Hicks; two granddaughters, Whitley Williams of Lockesburg and Laken Gentry of Lockesburg; two great grandsons, six great granddaughters, numerous family members and a multitude of friends.
Graveside funeral services for Mr. Kurt Farquhar will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 8, 2020 in the Belleville Cemetery pavilion with Larry Fry officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.
General viewing will be from 4 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home.

Mrs. Allene Thornton
Mrs. Bessie Allene Dixson Thornton, age 85, resident of Lockesburg, Arkansas, passed from this life on Friday, September 4, 2020, at Pleasant Manor Nursing Home, Ashdown, Arkansas.
She was born to Marion and Minnie Ayers Dixson on September 7, 1934 in Sevier County, Arkansas. She married the love of her life, Thomas Monroe Thornton, on January 5, 1949 in Wilton, Arkansas, and to this union, four children were born. After Thomas’ passing in 1983, she later married Harold David Wisnoskie, with whom she shared loving years until his passing in 2019. Allene worked a short time for Baldwin Piano Company and later raised chickens and kept the home. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Lockesburg and enjoyed knitting, reading, watching westerns, Fox News and NASCAR. She was an avid fan of Jeff Gordon. She also enjoyed planting flowers, gardening, and going to flea markets, but more than anything, she cherished the time spent with her children and grandchildren, especially her great-great-grandson, Corban.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Thomas Thornton and David Wisnoskie; grandson, Shelby Todd Elliott; daughter-in-law, Joan Thornton; two brothers, Eugene and Leo Dixson; and one sister, Mary Conatser.
Allene leaves to cherish her memory, one son, Thomas Ray Thornton of Lockesburg; three daughters and sons-in-law, Toni and Gaylon Alexander of Lockesburg, Cheryl and Shelby Elliott of Foreman, and Lisa and David Jones of Lockesburg; seven grandchildren, Carolyn, Todd, Tony Ray, Becky, Michael, Samantha and J.D.; nine great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Laverne Renfrow and Ernestine Clay, both of Lockesburg; as well as, nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Burial will follow, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., Sunday, at the funeral home.
