Joseph Dean “Joe” Kesterson
Joseph Dean “Joe” Kesterson, age 83, a resident of Wickes, Arkansas died Thursday, August 6, 2020, in Talihina, Oklahoma.

He was born September 24, 1936, in Gillham, Arkansas. Mr. Kesterson was a rancher, mechanic, United States Navy Veteran, and a Mason. He was an avid horseman and enjoyed his cattle and watching a good dog bay.

Mr. Kesterson was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Edward and Ruth Arizona Mize Kesterson; his wife, Theaola Christine Marsh Kesterson; one brother, Coleman Kesterson; and one great grandson, Joshua Elvin Tadlock.

He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Melinda and Paul Tadlock and Twila and Kendall Wilson; one son, Lorin Kesterson, all of Wickes; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Jeff Kesterson of Gillham, Clovis and Jennifer Kesterson of Vandervort, Arkansas, and Basil and Penny Kesterson of Wickes; five grandchildren and their spouses, Josh Tadlock of Wickes, Jennifer and Jacob Harrington of Ada, Oklahoma, Kayla and Kenny Herlacher of Augusta, Georgia, Clayton and Carolyn Bree Kesterson of Wickes, and Alyssa Wilson of Wickes; 12 great grandchildren, Kylie, Jacie, Landrie, Maggie Joe, and Charlie Kate Tadlock, Carlee and Emma Harrington, Brianna, KylieAnne and Easton Herlacher, Joseph Weston and Millie Jean Kesterson.

Graveside services for Mr. Kesterson will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 8, 2020, at Oak Grove Cemetery with Chris Burke officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen, Arkansas.

Timothy Eugene Frady
Timothy Eugene Frady, age 47, a resident of Winthrop, Arkansas died Tuesday, August 4, 2020, at his home.

He was born March 6, 1973, in Texarkana, Texas. Timothy was a surveyor for Golden Fields and attended the Church of Christ. He loved to hunt, fish, play pool, and drag race.

He is survived by his parents, Jimmie Lee Frady, Sr. and Mary Ellen Averitt Frady; three sons, Briar Lee Frady of Haworth, Oklahoma, Timothy Thorn Frady of Winthrop, and Gus Frady also of Winthrop; one brother, Jimmie Lee Frady, Jr.; one sister, Bea Chronister of Heavener, Oklahoma; five grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Graveside services for Mr. Frady will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 6, 2020, at JM Averitt Cemetery with Leon Klitz officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen, Arkansas.

Glenda Sue Brock Hogden
Mrs. Glenda Sue Brock Hogden, age 67, a resident of Dierks, Arkansas died Tuesday, August 4, 2020, in Nashville, Arkansas.

She was born April 15, 1953, in Murfreesboro, Arkansas. She was a homemaker and attended Fellowship Baptist Church and Holly Creek Baptist Church.

Mrs. Hogden was preceded in death by her parents, Herman Mack and Effie Lois Reed Brock.

She is survived by her husband, Nelson Hogden; one daughter, Lisa Tucker of Hope, Arkansas; one step-son, Wayne Hogden of Texas; one sister, Sharon Ackley of Nashville; an aunt and uncle, Lois and Fred Hogden of Orange, Texas; one sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Molly and Robert Smith of Orange; and one brother-in-law, Randall Morris also of Orange; three grandchildren, Laken Fant, Alexis Lee, and Miles Reid; and four great grandchildren.

A general viewing will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Thursday, August 6th at the Wilkerson Funeral Home chapel in Dierks. Cremation will follow.

Zayleigh Isabel Lopez Burris
Miss Zayleigh Isabel Lopez Burris was born to Frank Ulises Lopez and Roshunda Diane Burris at 1:56 P.M., Thursday, July 30, 2020, at UAMS, Little Rock, Arkansas, and passed peacefully from this life later that day.

She was preceded in death by her maternal great-grandparents, Edward and Ruth Bradley, Isabel Burris and Johnny Fields; and her paternal great-grandparents, Isauro Lopez Sanchez, Jose Puga and Reynalda Pulido.

She is survived by her mother and father, Roshunda Burris and Frank Lopez, both of De Queen; one brother, Zion Amir Ulises Burris Lopez of De Queen; maternal grandparents, Roosevelt and Dianna Bradley of Foreman; paternal grandparents, Francisco and Senorina Lopez of De Queen; paternal great-grandmother, Delfina Alcoser Vidal; her God-parents, Anthony and Roswitha Pearl of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Jose Hernandez and Reyna Lopez, both of De Queen; paternal aunts and uncles, Delfina Lopez, Tevita Lopez, Isauro Lopez and Jose Ahmed, all of De Queen, Jose Lopez of Anaheim, California, and Reyna Lopez of De Queen; maternal aunts and uncle, Roswitha Pearl of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Alisha Williams of Russellville, Arkansas and Chad Rodgers of Texarkana, Arkansas; as well as, other relatives and family friends.

Funeral Services for Miss Zayleigh Lopez Burris will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Father Ramses Mendieta and Rev. Ronnie “Shoebox” Keener officiating. Burial will follow at Redmen Cemetery, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen. The family will receive friends for a come-and-go visitation from 6:00 to 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, at the funeral home.

The use of a face mask or covering will be required during the time of visitation and funeral service.

Mrs. Martha Sue Stansbury
Mrs. Martha Sue Stansbury, age 89, a resident of Texarkana, Arkansas died Saturday, August 1, 2020, in Texarkana.

She was born November 11, 1930, Searcy, Arkansas. Mrs. Stansbury was a homemaker and a Methodist.

Mrs. Stansbury was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Charles Elston and Ruby Higginson Messer; three husbands, Terry W. Owens, David Casteel and Elvis Stansbury; and two brothers, Charles and Donald Messer.

She is survived by eight children and their spouses, Brenda and Rodney Young, Marty and Ginger Casteel, Carolyn Voss, Monty and Pam Casteel, Terry and Ann Owens, Beverly and Ronnie Chandler, Kay and Mike Ayers, and Patricia and John Traut; 14 grandchildren; and a number of great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Viewing for Mrs. Stansbury will be at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 4, 2020, at the funeral home in De Queen followed by a graveside service at 2:00 p.m. at Horatio Cemetery, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.

Juana Antonia Herrera
Juana Antonia Herrera, age 60, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas died Saturday August 1, 2020, in Hot Springs, Arkansas.

She was born December 8, 1959, in Ilobusco, Cabanas, El Salvador. Mrs. Herrera was a Catholic, and a homemaker. She loved to cook, sew and loved spending time with her family and being around kids.

Mrs. Herrera was preceded in death by her parents, Joaquin Ayala and Maria Herrera; her husband, Andres Rony Zepeda; one sister, Felicita Herrera; two brothers, Gregorio Herrera and Jose Herrera and one grand-daughter, Yasary Herrera.

She is survived by one daughter, Xiomara Herrera of De Queen; one son, Napoléon Ramos of Fort Smith, Arkansas; one brother, Joaquin Herrera of El Salvador; one sister, Alidia Herrera of Fort Smith; and four nieces, Nery Arias and husband Mario Mejia, Ana Mejia, Neri Mejia and Milagros Mejia.

Graveside funeral service for Mrs. Herrera will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at Redmen Cemetery pavilion with Father Ramses Mendieta officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.

General viewing will be at 10:00 a.m. until service time on August 5th.

William F. “Bill” Pogue
William F. “Bill” Pogue, age 94, a resident of Horatio, Arkansas died Saturday, August 1, 2020, in Ashdown.

He was born March 1, 1926 in San Gabriel, Texas. He was retired from the construction business, was a U.S. Army veteran, and a member of the Williamson Community Church in Horatio.

Mr. Pogue was preceded in death by his parents, Coy Ronald and Nora Jenkins Pogue; his wife of 71 years Ruth Elizabeth Pogue; five brothers, Alfred Pogue, Jessie Pogue, Gerald Pogue, Tommy Pogue and Pat Pogue and one great granddaughter, Kelly Blake Casteel.

He is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Darell Rankin, JoAnn and Paul Casteel, and Johnnie and Edward Williamson; six grandsons and their spouses, Heath and Sharon Casteel, Derek and Crystal Rankin, Doug and Sarah Casteel, Darren and Shantae Rankin, Coy and Stacy Williamson, and Justin and Tara Williamson; ten great grandchildren, Cassady, Sydney, Kinley, Chandler, Gavin, Sarah, Paige, Luke, Rykor, and Emily; a special niece, Judy Davis and number of nieces and nephews.

Private graveside funeral services for Mr. Pogue will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 4, 2020, in Millwee Cemetery with Jimmy Roden officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.

The family would like to thank Little River Nursing Home and Encompass Health Hospice of Texarkana.
