Mr. Robert McKinley
Mr. Robert Lee McKinley, age 80, resident of Horatio, Arkansas, passed from this life on Saturday, August 1, 2020, at the Dierks Health and Rehab.

He was born to Russell and Alice Camille Arnold McKinley on January 24, 1940 in De Queen, Arkansas. He was a 1959 graduate of De Queen High School. Following graduation, he married the love of his life, Linda Ruth McWhorter, in Idabel, Oklahoma, and to this union, three children were born. He worked as a Serviceman for General Telephone Company of Texarkana, retiring after more than 20 years of service. Robert was a former member of Rock Hill Baptist Church and enjoyed hunting and fishing, but more than anything, he cherished the time spent visiting at his shop with his children, brothers and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife of over 40 years, Linda McKinley; his daughter, Tiffany Deanette McKinley; and one brother, John McKinley.

He leaves to cherish his memory, two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Donna McKinley and James and Vona McKinley, all of Horatio; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one brother, Steve McKinley of Horatio; as well as, other relatives and a host of friends.

Quinton Dale “Bill” Milam
Mr. Quinton Dale “Bill” Milam, age 80, a resident of Cerro Gordo, Arkansas died Thursday, August 13, 2020, in Texarkana, Texas of Covid-19.

He was born July 3, 1940, at Billingsley Corner, Arkansas. Mr. Milam was retired from the Ash Grove Cement Plant after 36 years, a United States Army Veteran, and a member of the Church in the Wildwood and State Line Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Ash Grove Cement Local Union D937 and loved running hounds.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Henry and Sarah Elizabeth Baker Milam; five brothers, Marvin Milam, Charles Milam, Darrell Milam, Steve Milam, and Wilbur Milam; and three sisters, Effie Klitz, Velva McCormick, and Louise Key.

Mr. Milam is survived by his wife of 62 years, Peggy Frady Milam; two brothers, John Milam and Gary Milam both of Foreman, Arkansas; two sisters, Mary Jackson of Haworth, Oklahoma and Shirley McCorkle of Foreman; his dog, Wendy; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Due to Covid-19 there will be a private family service for Mr. Milam in the Cerro Gordo Cemetery with John and Mary Overturf officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen, Arkansas.

A come and go viewing will be held from 3:00-6:00 p.m., Sunday, August 16th at the funeral home in De Queen.

Family requests that everyone wear a face mask and practice social distancing for safety.

In lieu of food or flowers donations may be made in Bill Milam’s name to the American Parkinson Disease Association, 135 Parkinson Ave., Staten Island, NY 10305 or the charity of your choice.

Harold Bohannon
Mr. Harold Lloyd Bohannon, age 86, resident of Lockesburg, Arkansas, passed from this life on Thursday, August 13, 2020, at the Little River Nursing and Rehab in Ashdown.

He was born to Carl and Hazel Leona Haskett Bohannon on June 18, 1934 in Houston, Texas. Following high school graduation, Harold married the love of his life, Barbara Ann Pickett in May of 1956, and to this union, two daughters were born. He worked in maintenance for Houston Light and Power for many years and retired from Centerpoint Energy. Harold formerly attended the congregational gatherings at the Old Corith Church in Froglevel. He was a member of the Houston Pigeon Racing Association and enjoyed building birdhouses, crappie fishing, weed-eating and blowing leaves in his yard, and for many years, he enjoyed his time at the Choctaw Casino. Harold loved his family, his sweet wife, Barbara, and his many friends made throughout his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife of over 63 years, Barbara Bohannon; one great-grandson, Cullen Varner; and one brother, Dan Douglas Bohannon.

Left to cherish is memory are two daughters and a son-in-law, Carol Ann Boykin, and Karen Kay and Keith Midgett, all of Lockesburg; four grandchildren, Trina, Tracey, Trista and Matt; six great-grandchildren, Chelsea, Cameron, Carson, Emma, Shelby and Valerie; a special nephew, Doug (Andrea) Bohannon of Horatio; other relatives and a host of friends.

Graveside Services for Mr. Harold Bohannon will be held at 1:00 P.M., Monday, August 17, 2020 at Old Center Cemetery, Horatio, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M., Sunday, at the funeral home.

Roy Wayman Blue
Mr. Roy Wayman Blue, age 80, a resident of Dierks, Arkansas died Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at his home.

He was born February 27, 1940 in Rufe, Oklahoma. He was a logger and a member of the Umpire Community Church. Mr. Blue enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Aaron Lee and Margaret Bryant Blue; his first wife, Eva Blue; one son, Rodney Blue and one daughter, Debbie Johnson

Mr. Blue is survived by his wife, Betty Jean (Pannell) Blue; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sherri and Randall Fraizer of Antlers, Oklahoma and Rita and Jimmy Ward of Dierks; two step-daughters and their spouses, Amanda and Justin Buck of Dierks and Sarah and Lendon McConnell of Umpire; one step-son and his wife, James “Jay” and Kim Alensworth of Murfreesboro; three brothers and a sister-in-law, Allen Blue of San Antonio, Texas, Troy Blue of Rufe, Oklahoma and Steve and Norma Stidham of Wright City, Oklahoma; 18 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services for Mr. Blue will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 15, 2020 in Finley Cemetery in Finley, Oklahoma with Bro. John Henry Williams officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in Dierks, Arkansas.

General viewing will be held from 5:00-8:00 Friday, August 14th at the funeral home in Dierks.

Rogerlene McFarland Kitchens
Mrs. Rogerlene McFarland Kitchens, age 85, a resident of Umpire, Arkansas, died Thursday, August 13, 2020, in Dierks Health and Rehab.

She was born April 22, 1935, in Paris, Tennessee. Mrs. Kitchens was a homemaker and a member of the Athens Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed playing the piano, painting, and cooking.

Mrs. Kitchens was preceded in death by her parents, Roger and Kate Clement McFarland; her husband, Dorman Ray Kitchens; two sisters, Louise Enoch and Martha Jones; one grandson, Chris Kitchens; and one great-grandson, Kaleb Strasner.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Michele Kitchens of Dierks, Arkansas and Scott and Debbie Kitchens of Umpire; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Laura and Kerry Strasner of Umpire, Beth and Ken Jackson of Dierks and Jill Sharp of Umpire; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Kitchens will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 15, 2020, at the Athens Missionary Baptist Church in Athens, Arkansas with Scott Kitchens and Jerry Strasner officiating. Burial will follow in the Harmony Cemetery, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in Dierks.

William Keith Alexander
William Keith Alexander, 51, of Horatio, passed away Sunday, August 2nd, after a brief bout with cancer.

He was preceded in death by his parents Clarence Earl and Mary Louise Alexander, brother, Samuel Gipson Alexander, and sister Katherine Alexander.

He is survived by brothers, Thurman Alexander of Horatio, Thomas Alexander of Lockesburg, James Alexander of De Queen, Allan Hunt of Eagletown, OK and a number of nieces and nephews.

Graveside services are pending at this time.

Claudius Leon Conatser
Mr. Claudius Leon Conatser, age 83, a resident of Ashdown, Arkansas died Wednesday, August 12, 2020 in Texarkana, Texas.

He was born March 10, 1937. He was a well driller and owned Conatser Water Well Company. He was a man of God and was a member of Rock Hill Baptist Church, where he was the song leader. He served 19 and a half years in the U.S. Air Force and loved fishing with his grandsons.

Mr. Conatser was preceded in death by his parents, Archie Newton Conatser, Sr. and Flora Bell (Ayers) Conatser; his wife, Mary Elizabeth Conatser; two sisters, Linda Conatser and Della Mae Yates and five brothers, Archie Conatser, Jerry Conatser, Eddie Conatser, Elwayne Conatser and George Conatser.

He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Carla and Eric Crawford of Ben Lomond, Arkansas; three grandsons, Matthew Lovell and wife Hunter of Texarkana, Texas, Jason Crawford of De Queen, Arkansas, and Kevin Crawford of Ben Lomond; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral service for Mr. Conatser will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 14, 2020 in the Coulter Memorial Gardens in Lockesburg with Rev. Roy Conatser officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.

General viewing will be from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Thursday, August 13th at the funeral home.
