Doris was an accomplished woman in all regards: a professional seamstress, an educator, primary secretary of the City Manager to name a few. When she was not working her own job, she often volunteered as the Church Secretary working for a variety of Pastors in Oklahoma and Arkansas. Longing for more education, she went back to college in 1973 and finished a four year Bachelor’s degree in two years as an honor student every semester. She was not afraid to try any endeavor and even studied Morse code until she could pass and received her HAM radio license. Doris had an extremely artistic talent and could draw and design almost anything and spent several years as a professional photographer concentrating on weddings and nature. Those who have seen her handwriting know how beautiful it was and probably was better than any font you can find.

Doris was also an extremely talented vocalist giving numerous vocal recitals throughout her high school years. She continued to use that talent to serve the Church as a soloist for Sunday Services until her hearing no longer allowed her to sing as she thought she should.

She loved to travel and did so all over the world. She and Jeff set out to visit all the lower 48 states, Hawaii, countries all over Europe, Mexico, Canada, and several countries in Asia. They had a passion for traveling the country in their camping trailer, meeting new friends, playing games, and simply enjoying the life of retirement.

After a short separation, God has reunited Doris with her husband, Jeff, and her daughter Susan. She leaves her hopes and dreams of life to be carried out by her two sons, Wayne (wife Shirley), Robert (wife Carla), 6 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren, and a great many friends, all of whom she loved dearly.
