Otis T. Brinkley, III
Otis T. Brinkley, III, age 79 a resident of Hot Springs, formerly of Horatio, Arkansas, died Tuesday, September 17, 2019 in Hot Springs.
Mr. Brinkley was born April 4, 1940 in De Queen. He was a retired insurance agent. Mr. Brinkley was an avid Horatio Lions fan who supported them in every sport they played.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Otis T. Brinkley, Jr. and Nell Faye Byrne Brinkley and his wife Nancy Barnes Brinkley on February 10, 1980.
Mr. Brinkley is survived by several special friends, Susan Johnson, Rita Edwards, James Dobbins, and Brody Funderburk.
A memorial graveside service for Mr. Brinkley will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 22, 2019, in the Horatio Cemetery. Cremation arrangements by Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen, AR.
Supt. E. A. Edwards
Supt. Erven Arnett Edwards, age 77, resident of De Queen, passed from this life on Monday, September 16, 2019 in University of Arkansas for Medical Science, Little Rock. He was born to Arnett Edwards and Lucile Stringer on July 16, 1942 in Calhoun County, Arkansas.
He graduated from Calhoun County High School in Thornton, Arkansas and studied Accounting at Cossatot Vocational-Technical School. He worked at Weyerhaeuser Treating Plant in De Queen, Arkansas in capacities as, laborer, shipping, and supervisor for approximately 25 years, retiring in 1999.
Superintendent Edwards received his license in ministry in 1966 and ordained in 1969. He was appointed pastor of Lewis Temple Church of God in Christ in 1969 and has served faithfully for 50 years. He also pastored for a number of year at Foreman COGIC and Hendrix Temple COGIC in Blevins, AR. He has dedicated his life to the work of the Lord. He has been the hands, the feet, the voice, and the love of God expressed in many different ways. He also served as Chaplain for MarketPlace Ministries for approximately 25 years providing Employee Care Service to client employees and their families.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson Jabori Arnett Edwards, and two great-grandsons, Bryceton Neil Canon and Kingston Scott.
He is survived by: his wife of 56 years, Mrs. Betty Edwards of De Queen, Arkansas; 6 Children: Rosalind (Carl) Fricks, Sharon (Larry) Craig of Bearden, Arkansas, Maria (LeRoy) Nelson of Horatio, Arkansas, Charlotte (Carlton) Malvin, of Little Rock, Jerome (Aundria) Edwards, of De Queen and Lavelle (Veronica) Edwards of Little Rock, Arkansas. Arkansas. He also has 2 brothers; Dennis (Jessie) Edwards of Murfreesboro, Arkansas and Donald Edwards of Horatio, Arkansas, 23 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren, 1 Aunt, Francis Stringer-Sawyer and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, friends, spiritual sons and daughter, and self-adopted children and grandchildren.
Funeral Services for Supt. E.A. Edwards will be held at 12:00 P.M., Noon, Saturday, September 21, 2019 in the De Queen First Baptist Church with Bishop Robert Rudolph officiating. Burial will follow in Redmen Cemetery, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen. The family invites the public to Vigil which will be held from 6:00 to 7:30 P.M., Friday, September 20th, at the Lewis Temple Church of God in Christ, De Queen. Viewing and visitation will general, Thursday afternoon and Friday, at the funeral home.
Ben Calvin Stevens
Mr. Ben Calvin Stevens, age 95, a resident of Foreman, Arkansas died Monday, September 16, 2019, in Ashdown, Arkansas.
He was born July 27, 1924, in Cross Roads Arkansas on the Arkansas and Oklahoma line road. He was a member of the Foreman First United Methodist Church. Throughout Ben’s life he worked as a sawyer, a welder at the cement plant in Foreman, and the retired from the De Queen Treating Plant.
Mr. Stevens was preceded in death by his parents, Belle and Silas Stevens; his wife, Juanita Stevens; his son, Larry Stevens; and a sister, Hattie Dollarhide-Priest.
He is survived by a son and his wife, John and Paula Stevens of Foreman; one daughter-in-law, Gale Stevens of Simms, Texas; one grandson and his wife, Jared and Elysha Stevens of Campbell, Texas; one granddaughter and her husband, Victoria and Orrin McLendon of Scoggins, Texas; and two great grandsons, Tyler Stevens and Blake McLendon.
Graveside funeral services for Mr. Stevens will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, September 19, 2019, at Gravelly Cemetery with Daryl Hines officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, September the 18th at the funeral home.
John Paul Dunn
Mr. John Paul Dunn, age 71, a resident of Gillham, Arkansas died Sunday, September 15, 2019, in De Queen, Arkansas.
He was born July 10, 1948, in Broken Bow, Oklahoma. He was a United States Navy Veteran, a Baptist, and a carpenter.
Mr. Dunn was preceded in death by his parents, Junious Thurman “JT” Dunn and Josephine Bender Murray; two brothers, Thurman Ray Dunn and Charles Dunn; and a sister, Mary Christine Dunn.
He is survived by his one son and daughter-in-law, Neal Dunn and wife Melissa of Broken Bow, Oklahoma; one daughter and son-in-law, Tammy Key and husband Junior also of Broken Bow; one brother, Thomas Dunn; grandchildren, Rebecca and Randy Stover of Broken Bow, Jessica Murdoch of Mena, Arkansas, Meagan and Anthony Upton of Fort Towson, Oklahoma, Savanah Richards, Hayden and Shayla Merdoch, Lacey Pulliam, Christopher Key, Skyler and Kirk Sharrock all of Broken Bow, Bailey Lott of Dierks, Arkansas; and 18 great grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services for Mr. Dunn will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 18 ,2019, at Chapel Hill Cemetery, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.

Inez Wilson Cobb
Mrs. Inez Wilson Cobb, age 82, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord Sunday, September 15, 2019, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born March 1, 1937, in Sevier County. She was a member of the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in De Queen. Inez spent her life caring for others. Her husband and family were her greatest joy. She served as den mother for her sons cub scout troops and helped with vacation bible school in their local church. Inez loved to quilt and work puzzles. She helped to raise countless children throughout her babysitting years. James and Inez always had an open door for their extended family as well.
Mrs. Cobb was preceded in death by her biological parents, James Odar and Carrie Stringfellow Wilson and the parents who lovingly raised her, Rimon L. and Sarah Adella Wilson; her beloved husband, James Hugh Cobb; and her infant son, Lonnie Dale Cobb along with seven siblings.
She is survived by three sons and their spouses, James Hugh Cobb, Jr. and Kay of Nashville, Arkansas, Gary Von Cobb and Tammie of Lowell, Arkansas, and Jerry Dean Cobb and Tommi of De Queen; her grandchildren, TK, Terra, Tasha, JD, Shelby; her great grandchildren, Sebastain, Cati, Kyle, Savannah, Lilliana and Shawn; and a number of loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Cobb will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 18, 2019, at the Holly Grove Baptist Church in Grannis, Arkansas with George Frachiseur officiating. Burial will follow in the Holly Grove Cemetery under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.
Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 17th at the funeral home.
Willie Gene Harrison
Willie Gene Harrison, age 85, a resident of Lockesburg, Arkansas died Sunday, September 15, 2019, in Dierks, Arkansas.
He was born September 23, 1933, in Lockesburg. He was a Methodist and a Pipefitter.
Mr. Harrison was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Gladys Basham Harrison; his wife, Gloria Hooker Harrison; and a great-grandchild, Hiedi Smith.
He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Michelle Harrison of Lockesburg, three daughters and son-in-law, Pam and Phillip Martz of Lockesburg, Sonja Shields of Lockesburg, and Sabrena Howe of Lockesburg; one sister, Barbara Sharp of Tyler, Texas; eight grandchildren, Paige Smith and family of Horatio, Arkansas, Allie Harrison of Lockesburg, Blake Martz and family of Jefferson, Arkansas, Cara Turner and family of Lockesburg, Gerade Coulter and family of Lockesburg, Daniel Coulter and family of Lockesburg, Brad Howe of Prauge, Czech Republic, Clinton Howe and family of Kemah, Texas, seven great-grandchildren, Clayton Martz, Hayden Martz, Caroline Turner, Kaylan and Jett Coulter, Emma Howe, and Tucker Smith.
Graveside funeral services for Mr. Harrison will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 17, 2019, in the Belleville Cemetery with Bro Ronnie Mayes officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen, Arkansas.
Clovis Earl Craig
Clovis Earl Craig, age 91, departed from this earthly plane on the sunny, Saturday afternoon of September 14, 2019.
He was born in De Queen, AR, on February 11, 1928. He was a graduate from De Queen High School, class of 1946, before taking to the skies with the United States Air Force. While serving, he became a flight engineer and eventually retired as a Master Sergeant Senior.
Clovis was devout in his Baptist faith while flying around the globe, and eventually settled in Bossier City, LA. The passing of his first wife, Mary Lee Kitchens, would eventually lead him back to his heartland of De Queen, AR, where he would be reunited with his now late wife, Jimna Love.
He has found enjoyment in fishing since he was a young man. A fond memory recalls him walking barefoot down the family lane, a cane pole resting over his shoulder. Collecting classic cars from the 60’s, in the Corvette and Camaro varieties, was also a hobby of his. Clovis was a lover of all creatures and had quite the menagerie that were well taken care of at his home. Baking treats and cooking for others was a form of his love extended to the world, and it was always gratefully received. He was a remarkable caregiver, with his capacity for nurturing being unmatched.
Clovis is proceeded in death by his parents, Henry and Grace Craig; his wives, Mary Lee Kitchens and Jimna Love; as well as numerous brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his sister, Helen Long; his son, Russell Craig and fiancé, Rebecca; his son, Woodrow Kitchens, Jr. and wife, Barbara; grandchildren, Scott Craig, Casandra Craig, Christina Craig, Andrea Kitchens Gant, Lindsay Kitchens, Paul Gallagher, Joey Dillon, Victoria Dillon, and Macaden Smith; great-grandchildren, Mary Craig, Lily Craig, Mackenzie Craig, Hayden Gant, Hannah Grace Gant, Carter Kitchens, Katlyn Gallagher, and Charlee Morton; and an abundance of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
The Rosary will begin at 5:00 p.m., Monday, September 16, 2019 with a family visitation to follow until 7:00 p.m. in the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel in De Queen.
Funeral Mass for Mr. Craig will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 17, 2019 in the Monsignor Scott Friend Pastoral Center at St. Barbara Catholic Church with Father Ramses Mendieta officiating. Burial with Military rites will follow in Redmen Cemetery in De Queen.
