Noel F. Leverett
Mr. Noel F. Leverett, age 84, a resident of Nashville, Arkansas died Sunday, May 12, 2019, in Nashville.

He was born February 27,1935, in Horatio, Arkansas. Mr. Leverett was a commercial and industrial electrical contractor and a member of the First Baptist Church in Nashville.

Mr. Leverett was preceded in death by his parents, Noel Faye and Ethel Dossett Leverett; one daughter, Karen Louise Leverett; one sister, Bobby Fay McDonald; and one brother, Raymond Leverett.

He is survived by his wife, Onia Louise McClinton Leverett; two daughters and one son-in-law, Jeanice Neel of Hope, Arkansas and Denise and Alton McKnight of Choudrant, Louisiana; one granddaughter, Karen Noelle King and husband Chris; three grandsons, Jordan Elliott, Kevin McKnight, and Jason McKnight; five great grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Gene and Louise Leverett of Horatio; a number of nieces and nephews; and a faithful dog, Cocoa.

Funeral services for Mr. Leverett will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 15, 2019, in the Nashville First Baptist Church with Bro. Kevin Sartin, Bro. Tim Freel III, and Dr. David Blase officiating. Burial will follow in Horatio Cemetery under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen, Arkansas.

Family will receive friends at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday until service time.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation, P.O. Box 5014, Hagerstown, Maryland 21741.

Andrew Todd Day
Mr. Andrew Todd Day, age 32, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas died Saturday, May 11, 2019, in De Queen.

He was born December 29,1986, in Texarkana, Texas. Mr. Day loved his wife and his family. He was a member of Kern Heights Baptist Church and loved selling cars at De Queen Ford. Mr. Day loved music, playing music, flowers, gardening, giving, and cooking.

Mr. Day was preceded in death by, his grandfather, Harold Day; aunt, Donna Day; and great grandparents, Bob and Rosie Hunter and Chet and Melva Brown.

He is survived by his wife, Olivia Hilario Day; father, Tracy Day of De Queen; mother and step father, Robyn and Paul Freeman of Heber Springs, Arkansas; two brothers, Samuel Freeman of Heber Springs and Hunter Day of De Queen; one sister, Jessyca Hernandez of De Queen; grandmother, Bobbie Day of De Queen; grandfather, Wendell West and wife Anita of Tulsa, Oklahoma; grandmother, Karen Green of Lodi, California; nieces and nephews, Adain and Bella Hernandez, Elijah Brown and Livy Tollett; the Hilario family and the Olguin family.

Funeral services for Mr. Day will be held at 2:00p.m, Saturday May 18, 2019, in the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Rene Martinez and Elmer Hemel officiating. Burial will follow in Redmen Cemetery under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.

Family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Friday May 17th at the funeral home.

The family is asking everyone to wear white to the service in Andrew’s memory.

Abb Thomas Short
Mr. Abb Thomas Short, age 80, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas died Sunday, May 12, 2019, in De Queen.

He was born December 16,1938, in Soper Oklahoma. Mr. Short was a retired Crane operator for Weyerhaeuser. He Loved to Hunt, Fish, enjoyed Family time, and was a Instigator.

Mr. Short was preceded in death by his parents, A.J. and Juanita Tom Short; his wife, Kathryn Hall Short; son, Tommy R. Short and three brothers, Emerson, J.C., and Edmond Short.

He is survived by one son, Jerry Short of Jacksonville Florida, one daughter and son-in-law, Sherri Short Edge and Danny of Dierks, Arkansas; one sister, Ruth Alasabrook of Horatio, Arkansas; three brothers, Kermit and Rexcene Short of Oregon, Nick and Joyce Short of Gillham, Arkansas, and Kenneth and Florene Short of De Queen; eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside Funeral services for Mr. Short will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday May 15, 2019 at Redmen Cemetery with Bobby Neal officiating, under the Direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.

Family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m., Tuesday May 14, 2019 at the funeral home.

Harold David Wisnoskie, Jr.
Mr. Harold David Wisnoskie, Jr., age 70, a resident of Ashdown, Arkansas died Saturday, May 4, 2019, in Ashdown.

He was born September 30,1948, in Texas. Mr. Wisnoskie was a construction worker and truck driver.

Mr. Wisnoskie was preceded in death by his parents, Harold David Wisnoskie, Sr. and Louise Terral Wisnoskie and a sister, Joan Wisnoskie.

He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Steven and Cindy Wisnoskie and Larry and Kim Wisnoskie all of Fayetteville, Texas; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Mary and Henry Brown of Arden, Arkansas and Barbara Penney of Ashdown; six grandchildren, Hali Wisnoskie, Zackery Wisnoskie, Christopher and Chasity Irvin, Marc and Megan Irvin, Melissa and Nick Schwarz, and Andrew and Amanda Irvin; a number of nieces and nephews; and a spcial companion, his dog, Nikki.

Graveside funeral services for Mr. Wisnoskie will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 8, 2019, at Arden Cemetery with Mike Jones and Jason Brown officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.

Jimmie Lee Lyons, Sr.
Mr. Jimmie Lee Lyons, Sr., age 85, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas died Friday, May 3, 2019, at his home.

He was born July 24, 1933, in De Queen. Mr. Lyons was a United States Navy Veteran of the Korean War. He retired after working many years as an engineer for Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada, returning to De Queen.

Mr. Lyons was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 63 years, Jackie, and one son, David Lyons.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Jim Lyons, Jr and Melinda Lyons. of Reno, Nevada; daughter, Denise Huckaby of De Queen; brother, Harold Lyons of Phoenix, Arizona; four grandchildren, Crystal Celso, Jason James Carr, Jeremy Lyons and Ben Lyons; five great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.

A memorial service for Mr. Lyons will be held at 3:00 p.m., Monday, May 13, 2019, with Randy Davis officiating, in the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel in De Queen.

Phyllis Elaine Irvan Stark
Mrs. Phyllis Elaine Irvan Stark, age 68, a resident of Horatio, Arkansas died Thursday, May 2, 2019, in Texarkana, Texas.

She was born June 26, 1950, in Horatio. She was a Christian and a Licensed Practical Nurse.

Mrs. Stark was preceded in death by her parents, Russel Le Roy and Alma Corene James Irvan; two husbands, Bruce Strawn and Floyd Ellis Stark; one brother, Terry Irvan; one son, Curtis Jordan; and one grandson, Coty Jordan.

She is survived by three daughters and one son-in-law, Cathy Day of Horatio, Carrie and Rudy Rivas of De Queen, Arkansas, and Margie Jordan of Winthrop, Arkansas; six grandchildren, Scotty Shaw, Brittany Shaw, Jessyca Hernandez, Hunter Day, Carter Rivas, and Elaina Rivas; four great grandchildren, Isabella Hernandez, Adian Hernandez, Addy Johnson, and Brennan Shaw; one brother and sister-in-law, Kirby and Gayla Irvan of Horatio; one sister and brother-in-law, Kathy and Pete Minor of Horatio; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs. Stark will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, May 5, 2019, in the Williamson Community Church with Jimmy Roden officiating. Burial will follow in the Clear Creek Cemetery under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.

The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 p.m., Saturday, May 5th at the funeral home.

Bobby Dale Kesterson
Bobby Dale Kesterson, age 70, a resident of Dierks, Arkansas died Wednesday, May 1, 2019, at his home.

He was born March 14, 1949, in De Queen, Arkansas. He was a Christian and retired from the Howard County Sheriff Department.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kelsie Rosevelt and Cozie Kirby Kesterson; two brothers, Donald Kesterson and Ronald Kesterson; and one sister, Norma Kesterson.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria Kesterson; two daughters, Michelle Kesterson of Waterloo, Iowa and Jeanie Damazio of Hot Springs, Arkansas; three granddaughters, Isabella Kelsie Shefchik of Waterloo, Keri Rowley of Hot Springs, and Stacy Robinson of Ft. Valley, Georgia; two grandsons, Brock Bennett and Dan Bennett; and a number of great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral services for Mr. Kesterson will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, May 6, 2019, at the First Baptist Church in Dierks with Dr. David Blasé and James Butler officiating. Burial will follow in Burg Cemetery under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in Dierks.

The family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00 p.m., May 5th at the chapel in Dierks.
