Patsy Ann Black Dodds
Patsy Ann Black Dodds of Horatio, Arkansas passed away on May 1, 2019, at National Park Medical Center in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
Patsy was born in De Queen, Arkansas on July 12, 1946, to the late Overton Woodrow and Lois LaVetta Nickerson Black. She graduated from Horatio High School in 1964 and married James Russel Dodds the same year.
She loved to attend family reunions and enjoyed history and genealogy. She had a tremendous love for all people and was kind and compassionate, seeing good in everyone. She had a tender heart for animals and enjoyed nature and gardening. She was a Christian woman of the Baptist faith, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband of fifty-five years, James Russel Dodds of Horatio, Arkansas; two brothers, Danny Lynn Black of Horatio, Arkansas and Bobby Leonard Black of De Queen, Arkansas; a daughter and son-in-law, Debra Diane Dodds Flanrey and Floyd Anthony Flanrey of Horatio, Arkansas; a son and daughter-in-law, James Shannon Dodds and Missy Johnson Dodds of Bemidji, Minnesota; five grandchildren, Mason Forest Flanrey, Brock Lando Flanrey, Lillie Grace Dodds, William Johnson Dodds, and James Andrew Dodds; and a number of nieces and nephews
Funeral services for Mrs. Dodds will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 6, 2019, in the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Charles Chandler officiating. Burial will follow in Clear Creek Cemetery in Horatio, Arkansas.
The family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00 p.m., Sunday, May 5th at the funeral home.

Shane Huntter Mathis
Shane Huntter Mathis, age 12, a resident of Lockesburg, Arkansas passed from this life on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 in Nashville, Arkansas.
He was born March 6, 2007 in Mena, Arkansas. He loved hunting, fishing, gardening and playing. He played for the Dierks Outlaw football team and was well liked by all of his teachers. He was respectful and loved his mom and dad and brothers and sisters. He attended Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Barbara Mauldin.
He is survived by his parents, Jason and step-mom Stephanie Mathis of Lockesburg and Cindy and step-dad Donnie Pennington of Lockesburg; his brothers and sisters, Abagail Mathis, Dakota Mathis, Kaitlynn Mathis, Danielle Mathis, Auston Mathis, Brayden Mathis, Kaynen Mathis, Ellania Mathis, Jackson Mathis, Donnie Pennington, Jr. and Laura Pennington; his grandparents, Elizabeth and David Mathis and Earl and Mary Liles; great grandparents, Frances and Bobby Brakeville; and a number of aunts, uncles, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services for Shane will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 5, 2019 in the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel in De Queen with Bro. Jerrel Helms officiating. Burial will follow in the McHorse Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Saturday the 4th at the funeral home.
Charlotte Jean Rock Skidmore
Mrs. Charlotte Jean Rock Skidmore, age 69, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas passed from this life on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 in Hot Springs.
She was born September 26, 1949 in Elyria, Ohio. She was a supervisor for Pro Systems Aerospace in Fontana, California and attended Rose Hill Baptist Church.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her father, Lee Rock of Ohio; a sister, Holly Teffetleter of Walland, Tennessee; three brothers, David Rock of Ohio, Scott Rock of Ohio, and Chris Rock of Wilmington, Delaware.
She is survived by her husband, Steven Skidmore; a daughter, Dawn Griffiths of De Queen; a sister, Candy Rock Rose of Tennessee; a brother, Mike Rock of Ohio; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Skidmore will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 4, 2019 in the Mt. Ida Cemetery with Tim Smallwood and Robert Reyes officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 6 -8 p.m. Friday the 3rd at the funeral home.
Vera Virginia Pate
Vera Virginia Pate, age 90, a resident of Van Buren, Arkansas passed from this life and gained her heavenly home on Good Friday, April 19, 2019.
Vera was born on October 23, 1928, in Sweet Apple, Arkansas to John B. and Berta Mae Luttrell. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a loving mother, wife, and friend.
She married Bartie Pate on February 26, 1946, and he was the light of her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bartie; her brothers, Irvin Luttrell, Bill Luttrell, and “Sonny” Elbert Watts; one sister, Addie Mae Merrie; and one grandson, Charles Cole Pate.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Merle and Nancy Pate of Ozark, Arkansas and Rick and Carol Pate of Oliver Springs, Arkansas; two granddaughters, Mardel Long and Delanna Jones; one grandson, Brian Long; two great-grandsons; three great-granddaughters; and one special friend, Vonda Rooks.
Funeral services for Mrs. Pate will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 24, 2019, at the Free Holiness Church in Athens, Arkansas with Tracy Welch and Shane Pair officiating. Burial will follow in Athens Cemetery under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen, Arkansas.
Visitation with the family will be at 1:00 p.m., until service time.

Robert Kerry Lumpkin
Mr. Robert Kerry Lumpkin, age 55, a resident of Winthrop, Arkansas died Sunday, April 21, 2019, in Winthrop.
He was born July 4, 1963, in California. He served in the Army as an Airborne Ranger and was the manager and worked maintenance for UAG Housing.
Mr. Lumpkin was preceded in death by his parents, Norman Wayne and Roberta Lumpkin.
He is survived by his wife, Kat Scott; two sons; four daughters; one brother and sister-in-law; and a number of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Eddy Roland Owen
Mr. Eddy Roland Owen, age 69, a resident of Eagletown, Oklahoma passed from this life on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at his home.
He was born March 15, 1950 in Altus, Oklahoma to Roy Lee and Naomi Lowe Owen. He was a retired truck driver and manager of Passmores Grocery in Broken Bow and was a Christian.
Eddy was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Eddy Neil Owen; and a brother, Richard Owen.
He is survived by his wife, Susan McCoy Owen; two daughters and sons-in-law, Terri and Trey Casanover of Eagletown, and Beth and Tony Hughes of De Queen, Arkansas; a daughter-in-law, Terri Jean Owen of Broken Bow, Oklahoma; six grandchildren, Tyler and Kevin Harvison, Tate Casanover, Sadie Trevino, Beau Hughes, Ashley McGaha and Bryan McGaha; two brothers, his twin, Teddy (Ann) Owen of Eagletown, Ira Hoyt and Billie Owen, three sisters, Pat and Carl Jones, Joyce and Roland Nordmo and Kathy Fernandez; and a number of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Eddy will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 23, 2019 in the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Randy Watkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Eagletown Cemetery.
Carroll Lee Morphew
Mrs. Carroll Lee Williams Morphew, a resident of the Kellum Community passed away from this life and entered into her Heavenly home on Saturday, April 20, 2019.
She was born December 2, 1937 in Lakeview, Oregon. She was a Christian, and a homemaker. She loved her family and enjoyed playing pitch, fishing, reading and painting. She attended Southeastern Oklahoma College in Durant on a basketball and academic scholarship typing shorthand.
Mrs. Morphew was preceded in death by her parents, Wesley and Lavada Williams; and a brother, Doug Williams.
She leaves to cherish her sweet spirit, her loving husband, Lowell Morphew; her children and their spouses, Robert and Angela Morphew, Jimmy and Janet Morphew, Michael and Lisa Morphew, Lisa Morphew, Scott Morphew, and Mitchell and Sarah Morphew; her grandchildren, Robert, Erica and Caterra Morphew, Jared and Heath Morphew, McKenzie Morphew, Hadley Philamlee, Paige and Ben Morphew, Bailey Ward and Lorel and Ellie Morphew; two sisters, Shirley Laster of Scottsdale, Arizona and Lavana Warford of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; one brother, James Williams of Guthrie, Oklahoma; 11 great grandchildren, and a number of nieces, nephews and friends.
