Mr. Jerry Crawford
Mr. Warren Jerry Crawford, age 73, a resident of Horatio, died Friday, February 15, 2019 in the Bear Creek Healthcare, De Queen.

He was born to Truman Grace and Arlie Ina Murry Crawford on September 12, 1945 in Redlands, California. He and his family relocated to the Sevier County area in 1978. He was a member of the Meriloma Missionary Baptist Church in Riverside, California and enjoyed watching sports, especially baseball. Jerry was an avid fan of Los Angeles Dodgers.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Eliouse McCarther.

He is survived by one son, Michael Crawford of Riverside, California; three brothers, Leon Crawford and his wife Mary of Winthrop, Steven Crawford of Winthrop and Glen Crawford and his wife Daytona of Belton, Texas; as well as a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Graveside funeral services for Mr. Jerry Crawford will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, February 20, 2019 in the Mt. Ida Cemetery with Bro. Travis Lane officiating, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Tuesday, February 19th, at the funeral home.

Frank Edward Halter
Frank Edward Halter, Sr., age 83, a resident of Horatio, Arkansas died Thursday, February 14, 2019, at his home.

He was born August 3, 1935, in the Geneva Community. He served in the Army National Guard for six years, worked in the poultry industry for 54 years, and attended Old Center Church in Horatio.

Mr. Halter was preceded in death by his parents, Polly and Laura Miller Halter and two brothers, Henry Halter and Gene Halter all of De Queen, Arkansas.

He is survived by his wife, Henri Ann Lipsey Halter; one daughter and son-in-law, Holly and DeWayne Pettigrew of Horatio; two sons and daughters-in-law, Eddie and Patti Halter of Horatio and Rick and Melody Halter of Springdale, Arkansas; ten grandchildren and their spouses, Michael and Becky Pettigrew, Andrew Pettigrew, Trey Halter, Ashley and Joey Jackson, Brandi and Daniel Kirkland, Cole Halter, Emily and Austin Turner, Amy and Conner Brackhahn, Katy Halter, and Savannah Halter; nine great grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill and Sandy Halter and Ronny and Shelia Halter of De Queen; and three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Betty Murry of De Queen, Rosene and Gary Lochmiller of Fredericksburg, Texas, and Bobbie and Daryl Hotard of Farmerville, Louisiana.

Funeral services for Mr. Halter will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 17, 2019, in the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel in De Queen with John Lindsey, Sam Hendricks, and Rick Halter officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Center Cemetery in Horatio.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Saturday the 16th at the funeral home.

Sarah Pairlee Burnes Johnson
Sarah Pairlee Burnes Johnson, age 74, a resident of Texarkana, Arkansas died Tuesday, February 12, 2019, in Texarkana, Texas.

She was born November 11, 1944, in Horatio, Arkansas. She was retired and a member of the First Baptist Church of Wilton.

Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Raymond and Onnie May Martin Burnes; her husband, David Saul Johnson; one sister, Julia May McGuire; and one brother, Elbert Dayton Burnes.

She is survived by one sister, Minnie Bradshaw of Texarkana, Arkansas; one brother, James Robert Burnes of Nashville, Tennessee; four grandchildren, Audra Zacarias, Arlene Carr, Aaron Augustus, and Austin Augustus; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Johnson will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 16, 2019, at Old Union Cemetery in Lockesburg, Arkansas with Mr. Matt Fisk officiating under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.

Elizabeth “Betty” Jane Crow
Elizabeth “Betty” Jane Crow, age 85, a resident of Lockesburg, Arkansas passed from this life and went to her heavenly home Monday, February 11, 2019, at her residence.

She was born December 1, 1933, in Falls Chapel, Arkansas. She was a homemaker and attended Old Time Gospel Church. Mrs. Crow enjoyed quilting, refunding, gardening, crocheting, working puzzles and gospel singings.

Mrs. Crow was preceded in death by a newborn daughter, Amy Elizabeth; her parents, Otis Lee and Mary Etta Brooks Carver; three brothers, John Brooks Carver, Raymond Carver, and Ed Carver; two sisters, Mary Lucy Carver and Ida Faye Van.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Crow; one son and daughter-in-law, Rudy and Linda Hatridge; three daughters and a son-in-law, Rhonda and Perry Small, Robyn Hatridge, and LaBetha Leeper; a step daughter, Sheila Marts; two sisters, Sarah Smart and Laura Jones; and two brothers, Hugh Carver and Tommy Carver; seven grandchildren, one great grandchild, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs. Crow will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 14, 2019, in the Falls Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Jerrel Helms and Ann Holley officiating. Burial will follow in the Falls Chapel Cemetery, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. before the service.

Ronald Alan Long
Ronald Alan Long, age 69, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas died Sunday, February 10, 2019, at his home.

He was born December 17, 1949, in De Queen, Arkansas. He was retired from Weyerhaeuser.

Mr. Long was preceded in death by his parents, Ray Alexander and Lana Joaquin Ray Long; one son, Chance Long; and his former wife, Sheila Linville.

He is survived by two daughters, Melody Gray of Little Rock, Arkansas and Paige and husband Laurence Shields of Houston, Texas; one sister, Kay Emerson of Taylor, Arkansas; two grandsons, Speed Alan Shields and Rhett Gray; one granddaughter, Caroline Gray; one niece, Suzanne Ivey; one nephew, Bart Emerson; and his caregiver and special friend, Francis Vega.

Funeral services for Mr. Long will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 13, 2019, in the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel in De Queen with Cheryl Nelson and Timothy Smallwood officiating. Burial will follow in Redmen Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Tuesday the 12th at the funeral home.

Ila Lavelle Artre Hill
Ila Lavelle Artre Hill, age 84, a resident of Dierks, Arkansas died Saturday, February 9, 2019 in Dierks.

She was born August 16, 1934 in Dierks. She was a homemaker, a member of the First Baptist Church in Dierks and enjoyed fishing.

Mrs. Hill was preceded in death by her parents, James and Artie Mae Adair Artre; her husband, Dillard Dean Hill; a daughter, Sandra D. Hill Simmons; and a number of brothers and sisters.

She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Janet and Gary Bobo of Dierks, Cathy and Bruce Francis of Murfreesboro, Arkansas and Jeanne and Glenn Davis of Dierks; one son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Madonna Hill of Dierks; one sister, Jo Dean Thames of Shreveport, Louisiana; 12 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, and a number of nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Hill will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 13, 2019 in the First Baptist Church in Dierks with Dr. David Blasé and Bro. Scott Kitchens officiating. Burial will follow in the Burg Cemetery, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in Dierks.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, February 12th at the funeral home in Dierks.

James Deane Gage
James Deane Gage, age 56, a resident of Gillham, Arkansas died Thursday, February 7, 2019, in Little Rock, Arkansas.

He was born September 3, 1962, in De Queen, Arkansas. He was a Railroad Track Analyst for Holland.

Mr. Gage was preceded in death by his grandfather, Harold L. Higgins; one brother, Walter Stanley Jewell; and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Bessie and Tom Overbey.

He is survived by his wife Rebecca Matheny Gage; his parents, Walter and Delena Higgins Jewell; one brother, Stacey Jewell all of Gillham; one sister, Carla Helland of Elma, Washington; his grandmother, Alpha Murl Higgins; two step children, Dennis T. Burton and Melody Burton Storey; four grandchildren, Sarah Elizabeth Barnes, Tucker Austin Burton, Charles Blake Barnes, and John Bentley Burton; one great grandchild, Nash Cooper Barnes; and a number of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Memorial services for Mr. Gage will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, February 15, 2019, in the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel in De Queen with Bro. Ryan Higgins officiating.

Family will receive friends from noon until service time at the chapel.
