John Edward Sikes, age 51, a resident of Alleene, Arkansas, died Saturday, August 29, 2015 in Ashdown, Arkansas.
He was born July 19, 1964 in Ashdown.
Mr. Sikes was preceded in death by his father, Billy Byron Sikes.
He is survived by his mother, Alice Clowers Sikes of Alleene; a brother, Jeff Sikes of Davie, Florida; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Sikes will be held 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 1, 2015 in the Winthrop Methodist Church with Bro. Phil Smith and Bro. Jimmy Dale officiating. Burial will follow in Alleene cemetery, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.

Cora Faye Gore
Mrs. Cora Faye Young Gore, age 87, a resident of Ft. Worth, Texas, died Wednesday, September 2, 2015, in Ft. Worth.
She was born June 16, 1928, in Lockesburg, Arkansas. She was a homemaker and a member of the Travis Ave. Baptist Church in Ft. Worth.
Mrs. Gore was preceded in death by her parents, William H. and Nobie Cannon Young; one daughter, Kathy Leigh Phillips; two brothers and four sisters.
She is survived by her husband, Henry C. Gore; one son, Morris Gore of Dallas, Texas; one daughter, Jan Padilla of Albuquerque, New Mexico; one sister, Robbie Enoch of Crystal City, Missouri; five grandchildren, Nichole and Natalie Gore and Keith, Kyle and Cassie Padilla and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Gore will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 5, 2015, in the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Paul Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in Millwee cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, September 4th at the funeral home.
Harold Gene Dodson
Harold Gene Dodson, age 75, a resident of Alleene, Arkansas, died Saturday, September 5, 2015 at his home.
He was born June 26, 1940 in Horatio, Arkansas.
Mr. Dodson was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Farrington Dodson and Gladys Williamson Dodson.
He is survived by three daughters, Julian Dodson of Euless, Texas, Caroline Dodson of Houston, Texas and Rhonda Hoffman of Provo, Utah; one son, Alan Dodson of Double Oak, Texas; two stepsons, Tim Smith of Mesquite, Texas and Ron Smith of Henderson, Texas; two sisters, Brenda Carter of Wallace, Arkansas and Belle Lewis of Crandall, Texas and seven grandchildren.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Rachel Elizabeth McCarley Smith
Rachel Elizabeth Mayo McCarley Smith, age 79, a resident of Grannis, Arkansas, died Sunday, September 6, 2015 in Texarkana, Texas.
She was born May 21, 1936 in Wickes, Arkansas. She was retired from Poulan, a homemaker, a lifelong volunteer for the Grannis Trailrider Riding Club and a Baptist.
Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her parents, Hershel Mayo and Fairis Baker Mayo Stemple; her husband, Millard Lee Smith; her first husband, Kelly McCarley; a sister, Laverne Harvey; and a brother, Dwight Mayo.
She is survived by two daughters, Charlotte McCarley of Gillham, Arkansas and Michelle Williams of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; two sons, Larry McCarley of Wickes, and Wayne McCarley of Grannis; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Carol and Ronney Fields of Hatfield, Arkansas, Midge and Sam Faulk of North Bend, Oregon and Doris Roberts of Tennessee; one brother and sister-in-law, Gene and Cyndy Mayo of Grannis; nine grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Smith will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 9, 2015 in the Baker Rock Church with Ron Ladd officiating. Burial will follow in the Baker cemetery, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.

Beth (Young) Brooks
Mrs. E. Beth (Young) Brooks, age 72, a resident of Winthrop, Arkansas, died Tuesday, August 25, 2015, in Texarkana, Texas.
She was born December 20, 1942, in Horatio, Arkansas. She was a homemaker and a member of the Horatio Church of Christ.
Mrs. Brooks was preceded in death by her parents, William Thomas and Edna Pearl Sims Young; and four sisters, Louise Power, Corine Ayers, Ruby Rust and Verna McGough.
She is survived by her husband, Gerald Brooks of Winthrop; one daughter and son-in-law, Michelle “Shelly” and Jim Crenshaw of Cerro Gordo, Oklahoma; one son and daughter-in-law, Barry Todd and Lee Ann Brooks of Winthrop, Arkansas; a sister, Inez Taylor of Lockesburg, Arkansas; two grandchildren, Baylee Crenshaw and Bradi Kae Brooks; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Brooks will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 27, 2015 in the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Virgil Romine, Cy Davis and Bobby Tatum officiating. Burial will follow in the Pauley cemetery.

Mrs. Aletha Tallman Savage, age 92, a resident of Horatio, died Friday, Feb-ruary 28, 2003 in Arkadelphia, Arkansas.
She was born on August 12, 1910 in Kansas. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Savage was preceded in death by her husbands: George Henry and Rev. W. B. Savage.
She is survived by one daughter: Charlotte Shepherd of Arkadelphia; one brother: Richard Tallman of Horatio; two grandsons: Stan and Scott Shepherd; one granddaughter: Shannon Ware; and three great-grandchildren: Hunter Ware, Samantha Shepherd, and Braden Shepherd.
Funeral services for Mrs. Savage were held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 2, 2003 in the Horatio First Methodist Church. Burial followed in the Horatio cemetery, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 2 in Horatio First Methodist Church with Rev. Fred Smith officiating. Burial followed in Horatio cemetery under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home of De Queen.
She was born Aug. 12, 1920 in Kansas; was a homemaker; and a member of First United Methodist Church in Horatio. She was predeceased by her husbands, George Henry and Rev. W.B. Savage.
She is survived by one daughter, Charlotte Shepherd of Arkadelphia; one brother, Richard Tallman of Horatio; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Letha Mae Staggs
Mrs. Letha Mae Roberts Staggs, age 94, resident of De Queen, died Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2003 in Parkview Nursing Center in Little Rock.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 1 in Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Daniel Kirkpatrick and Rev. Tim Bolin officiating. Burial followed in Mt. Ida cemetery.
She was born on Thursday, Oct. 22, 1908 in Texas to W.E. and Kitty Manning Roberts; was a homemaker; and a member of Rose Hill Baptist Church. She was predeceased by her husband, Ben C. Staggs on Jan. 11, 1990; and one daughter, Bendette Alexander.
She is survived by one son, Charles Staggs of Little Rock; two grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family received friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28 at the funeral home.
