Epifania Federico Hernandez
Mrs. Epifania Federico Hernandez, age 76, a resident of Broken Bow, Oklahoma died Tuesday, November 20, 2018, in Texarkana, Texas.
She was born on January 25, 1942, in Nicolas Flores, Hidalgo, Mexico. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Hernandez was preceded in death by her parents, Nicacio and Alfonsa Hernandez Federico and a son, Venancio Perez.
She is survived by her children, Jovita Perez of De Queen, Arkansas, Marcelina Villeda of De Queen, Benito Perez of Greenville, North Carolina, Martina Perez of De Queen, Santiago Perez, Marino Perez, and Israel Hernandez all of Mexico, and Teresa Perez of Greenville; numerous in-laws, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass for Mrs. Hernandez will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 21, 2018, at the St. Barbara Catholic Church under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at a later date in Cementerio Cerro Prieto in Nicolas Flores.
Paul William Willis
Paul William Willis, age 88, a resident of Horatio, Arkansas died Monday, November 19, 2018 in Texarkana, Texas.
He was born January 18, 1930 in Soper, Oklahoma. He was a retired truck driver, a U.S. Army veteran, a Christian, and attended the First United Methodist Church in Horatio.
Mr. Willis was preceded in death by his parents, William Bill and Willie Calvin Short Willis; mother of his children, Bula Willis; a daughter, Sherry Lynn Willis; a step-daughter, Elaine Miears; one brother and five sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Alice Shafer Willis; four daughters and sons-in-law, Donetta Hegwood of Delores, Colorado, Paula and Steve Barley of Flower Mound, Texas, Lesia Joy and Ken Koehler of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Nita Faye and Gary Cooper of Everton, Arkansas; one son and daughter-in-law, Paul David and Rhonda Willis of Ashdown, Arkansas; two step daughters, Rebecca Holdford of Garland, Texas, and Anita and Charlie Click of Winthrop, Arkansas; two sisters, Lavern Willis of Dublin, Texas and Carolyn Susie Willis of Horatio; two brothers, Billy Fay Willis of Horatio and Glen David and Bonnie Willis, also of Horatio; a special daughter, Rosie Dowdle; 15 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mr. Willis will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 24, 2018 in the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Rodney Young and Bro. Phil McLardy officiating. Burial will follow in the Clear Creek Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday the 23rd at the funeral home.
Paul Tom King
Mr. Paul Tom King, “Powder Wagon” age 90, a resident of Lockesburg, Arkansas died Monday, November 19, 2018, at his home.
He was born February 24, 1928, in Lockesburg. He was married to Esther Frances Stevens King on January 4, 1969, whom he loved with all his heart. He was a lifelong truck driver, retiring in 1990, and was a member of the Lockesburg Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He loved to hunt, fish, camp and play music and loved spending time with his family. He was a very talented musician and played almost any instrument he picked up. His love for music was above all others.
Mr. King was preceded in death by his parents, L.F. and Eunice June “Nanny” King; one son, Paul Terry King; one daughter, Sylvia Jill King McWhorter; two grandsons, David Kain McWhorter and Thomas Jefferson Davis; one great grandchild, Callie Brooke King; four brothers, Norman, L.F., Merlyn and Bert King; a sister, Yvonne King Thornton; and two sons-in-law, James Davis and David McWhorter.
He is survived by his wife, Frances Stevens King; three daughters, Lynne Davis, Sonja Parish and husband Dwayne, Shelia Jester and husband James; three sons, Stueart Cunningham, Steve Cunningham and wife Evelyn, and Marlowe King and wife Sherry; one brother, Elmo King of Texas; one sister, Holly Bush, of De Queen: 21 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren, a number of nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral services for Mr. King will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 21, 2018, at the Old Union Missionary Baptist Church with Donnie Davis, Dwayne Parish, Ann Holley and James Gathright officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Union Cemetery under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday the 20th at the funeral home.
Mr. Jerry Neeley
Mr. Jerry Dean Neeley, age 77, a resident of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed from this life on Friday, August 24, 2018, with his family by his side, at his home.
He was born to Thomas and Lavada Neeley on December 31, 1940, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He married the love of his life, Linda Sue Brown, on November 30, 1968, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Jerry worked as a Barber for many years in the Tulsa area. He was an avid weightlifter in his younger years. He even won the title of Mr. Oklahoma in a weightlifting competition. He enjoyed watching the Science Fiction channel, the History channel, as well as the National Geographic channel. Jerry enjoyed traveling and working on his lawn, but most of all, he cherished the time spent with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Marion, Doug, Ronie, Terry, and Larry; and two sister, Mildred and Gale.
He is survived by his wife of over 49 years, Linda Sue Neeley of Tulsa, Oklahoma; one son, Zach Neeley and his wife Sherna of San Antonio, Texas; one grandson, Ezekiel “Zeke” Neeley of San Antonio, Texas; three brothers, Dalton, Weldon and Kerry; three sisters, Dorothy, Rita and Carol; as well as, nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Graveside Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, November 17, 2018, in the Chapel Hill Cemetery with John Wilson officiating, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen. A family visitation was held on Wednesday, August 29th, in Tulsa.
Mr. Jesus Meza-Zarate
Mr. Jesus Meza-Zarate, age 31, a resident of Grannis, Arkansas, died Wednesday, November 14, 2018 in the Baptist Medical Center, Little Rock, Arkansas, from injuries received in an automobile accident on October 9th.
He was born in De Queen, Arkansas, on November 27, 1986 to Juan Elias Meza-Lopez and Juana Meza. He was a machinist with Sterling Machinery and attended the Apostolic Faith Assembly Church in De Queen. He enjoyed movies, traveling, but most of all he cherished the time spent with his family, especially his children.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Juan Meza Montez and Antonia Lopez Molinar; and his maternal grandmother, Maria Guadalupe Zarate.
He is survived by his parents; a son, Zayden Ray Meza of De Queen, Arkansas; a daughter, Valerie Mae Meza of De Queen; three brothers, David Meza and his wife Staci of Grannis, Sergio Meza and his wife Stephanie of Fort Smith, Arkansas, and Eric Meza and his partner, Josefina of Grannis, Arkansas; two sisters, Araseli Meza of Grannis, and Vannesa Jones and her husband Mackenzie of Little Rock, Arkansas; five uncles, nine aunts, and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.
Funeral Services for Mr. Jesus Meza-Zarate will be held at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, November 18, 2018, in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jose Chacon officiating. Burial will follow in the Grannis Cemetery, Grannis, Arkansas. The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 17, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Mr. Louis Rehmann
Mr. Louis Frederick Rehmann, age 84, a resident of Gillham, Arkansas, died Wednesday, November 14, 2018, in the Bear Creek Health and Rehab Center, De Queen.
He was born to George Bernard and Catherine Margarete Breitenother Rehmann on March 8, 1934, in Baltimore, Maryland. He married Elizabeth Anne Delozier on June 11, 1974, in Baltimore. He worked as a Machinist during the construction of the Panama Canal and he served in the United States Air Force. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sweet wife of over 43 years, Elizabeth Anne Rehmann; two brothers, Benard Rehmann, Jr., and William Rehmann; and one sister, Marie Brewer.
He is survived by one sister-in-law, Susan McGuire of Halethorpe, Maryland.
No services are scheduled at this time. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home of De Queen.
Mrs. Lucille Dirickson
Mrs. Lucille Bernice Dirickson, age 74, a resident of Horatio, Arkansas, passed from this life on Sunday, November 11, 2018, in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
She was born to Joseph Franklin and Francis Wood Phelps on October 19, 1944, in Arkoma, Oklahoma. After her parent’s passing, Lucille and her siblings were raised by her aunt and uncle, John and Minnie Phelps, whom she dearly loved. She married the love of her life, Albert Dirickson, Jr., on March 26, 1964, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, and to this marriage, five children were born. Lucille loved the Lord and was of the Holiness faith. She attended the Old Center Holiness Church in Horatio, where she has been a member since 1955. She enjoyed crafting and crossword puzzels, but most of all, she cherished the time spent with her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of over 45 years, Albert Dirickson, Jr.; one son, Alton Dirickson; one daughter, Lola Lee Bertling; her uncle and aunt, John and Minne Phelps; and two brothers, Lonnie Phelps and Thomas Phelps.
She leaves to cherish her memory, three sons, Albert Allen Dirickson of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Anthony Allen Dirickson and his wife Lisa of Beckley, West Virginia, and Casey Lee Dirickson of Horatio, Arkansas; her grandchildren, Tiffany French and her husband James of Duncan, Oklahoma, and Krystal Robinson and her husband Matt of Horatio, Arkansas; three great-grandchildren, Adreonia Robinson, Macie Rae Robinson, and Grayson Levon Robinson; one sister Louise Stinnett of Texarkana, Arkansas; one half-brother, Jimmy Sanders of Fort Smith, Arkansas; as well as, nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Lucille Dirickson will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, November 15, 2018, in the Old Center Holiness Church with Bro. Sam Hendricks officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Center Cemetery under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, November 14, 2018, at the funeral home.
