Tony Lambert Gibson
Mr. Tony Lambert Gibson, age 78, a resident of Mena, Arkansas died Monday, November 5, 2018, in Little Rock, Arkansas.

He was born on May 29, 1940 in Horatio, Arkansas. He worked in construction, was a cabinet maker, chicken house owner, former owner of the Hob Nob Restaurant in De Queen, Army National Guard Veteran and a member of the First Baptist Church in Horatio.

Mr. Gibson was preceded in death by his parents, Tommy J. and Gladys Beatrice Vess Gibson; one daughter, Kimberly Ann Demory and two sisters, Glenda Hannigan and Shirley Loretta Gibson and an infant brother.

He is survived by his wife, Juanita Johnson; two daughters and sons-in-law, Tonya and Chris Hendricks of Longview, Texas and Natalie and Scott Mellina of Fort Worth, Texas; one son, Timothy Scot Gibson of Kilgore, Texas; one sister, Debbie Hankins of Horatio; five grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Memorial service for Mr. Gibson will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 10, 2018, in the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel.

Larry Ray House
Mr. Larry Ray House, age 68, a resident of Dierks, Arkansas died Thursday, November 1, 2018 at his home.

He was born April 23, 1950 in Nashville, Arkansas. He was retired from the City of Dierks sanitation department and was a member of the Assembly of God Church.

Mr. House was preceded in death by his mother, Juanita Alene Gatlin House and a brother, Kevin House.

He is survived by his wife, Audrey Sue Eudy House of Dierks; his father and step-mother, Buell Ray and Dorothea House of Dierks; two daughters and sons-in-law, Lacy and Jimmy Schwab of The Woodlands, Texas and Chandra and Christopher Budd of Amarillo, Texas; one step son, Kelly Roberson of Nashville, Arkansas; one sister and brother-in-law, Denise and Don Schenk of Stinnett, Texas; one brother and sister-in-law, Troy and Rhonda House of Langley, Arkansas; two step sisters, Barbara Burgess of Dierks and Joan and Joe Isham of Dierks; seven grandchildren, Jacob Harrison, Mazzy Budd, Addison Ellison, Oliver Schwab, Kara Moore, Victoria Roberson and Kyler Roberson; four great grandchildren, A.J., Ali, Kaliegh and Kaiden; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services for Mr. House will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 5, 2018 in the Sunshine Cemetery with Rev. J.W. Gilbert officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in Dierks.

Viewing will be held from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, November 4th at the Dierks Chapel.

The family requests that everyone wear Razorback t-shirts to the service.

Johnnie C. Brewer Munn Elliott
Mrs. Johnnie C. Brewer Munn Elliott, age 86, a resident of Horatio, Arkansas died Friday, November 2, 2018, in Texarkana, Arkansas.

She was born on August 17, 1932, in Horatio. She was a homemaker and attended Williamson Community Church.

Mrs. Elliott was preceded in death by her parents, John L. and Audie Wilson Brewer; her two husbands, Richard J. “Buddy” Munn and Lloyd N. Elliott; four brothers, Sam Brewer, Bub Brewer, G.D. Brewer, James Brewer.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Melinda Munn of Texarkana, Arkansas; one daughter, Kathy Leforce of Horatio; four grandchildren, Tonya and Cameron Petross of De Queen, Arkansas, Riki and Wade Williamson of Texarkana, Arkansas, Ashley and Wendell Fink also of Texarkana, Arkansas, and T.K. Munn of Denver, Colorado; eight great grandchildren, Lacey and Michael Kennedy, Colton Brakeville, Kaleb Petross, Kelsi Petross, Landi Williamson, Ashten Fink, Jaxen Fink, and Carter Rowland; two great-great grandchildren, Addison Holland and Liam Kennedy; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs. Elliott will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 5, 2018, in the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jimmy Roden officiating. Burial will follow in Clear Creek Cemetery under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends from 3:00-5:00 Sunday, November 4th at the funeral home.

Anita Gail Oglesby
Mrs. Anita Gail Oglesby, age 61, a resident of Crossroads, Arkansas went home to her Lord on Wednesday, October 31, 2018, at her home.

She was born to Lelon and Peggy Oglesby in Stanton, Texas on July 2, 1957. Anita was a very kind woman that opened her home to anyone in need, would feed you her last bite of food, and give you the shirt off her back. She loved music, dancing, and gathering with friends. She loved her family and enjoyed the time spent with her grandsons. She will be greatly missed.

Anita was preceded in death by her mother and father.

She leaves behind her son, Robert “Robby” Gallagher of Haworth, Oklahoma; her daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Shawn Nicholas of Foreman, Arkansas; three grandsons, Ethan, Brendan, and Jacob Nicholas of Foreman; one sister, Lori Beall; two brothers, Lelon Roy Oglesby and Lloyd Oglesby all of Crossroads; and two nieces, Leah and Holly Beall.

Memorial services for Anita Oglesby will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 3, 2018, at Piney Cemetery in Winthrop, Arkansas.

Mrs. Melissia Wommack
Mrs. Melissia Leah Ruth Wommack, age 49, a resident of De Queen, passed from this life on Wednesday, October 31, 2018, in De Queen.

She was born to Ernest Eugene and Wanda Addaline Taylor Ruth on December 29, 1968, in De Queen, Arkansas. She married the love of her life, Carl Franklin “Trey” Wommack, III, on August 17, 1990, in De Queen. Melissia worked as a Dispatcher for the Sevier County Sheriff’s office for the last 8 years, and she loved every minute of it. She enjoyed keeping up with friends and family on Facebook, but most of all, she cherished the time spent with her children and grandchildren. Melissia was loved and will be missed by all who knew her.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of over 28 years, Trey Wommack of De Queen; one son, Kendall Wommack and his wife Candice of Greenville, Texas; and one daughter, Keshia Beth Wommack of Ashdown, Arkansas. She was “MiMi” to her two wonderful grandsons, Blaine Matthew Carrell and Shawnix Houston Smith, both of Ashdown, Arkansas. She is also survived by her parents, Gene and Wanda Ruth of De Queen; two brothers, Doug Ruth and his wife Shirley of De Queen, and Bobby Joe Ruth, of De Queen; as well as, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.

Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, November 3, 2018, in the Avon Cemetery with Layton Neal officiation, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen. The family will be gathering at the home of Carla Cox, 156 Wommack Lane, De Queen.

Officers of the Sevier County Sheriff’s Office and the De Queen Police Department will serve as pallbearers.

Raymond Leonard Sheldon, Jr.
Raymond Leonard Sheldon, Jr., age 63, a resident of Gillham, Arkansas, died Wednesday, October 24, 2018, in De Queen.

He was born May 21, 1955, in Boise, Idaho. He was a janitor at Walmart, worked maintenance at De Queen Elementary School, worked at the Sevier County Museum and was a U.S. Army veteran. Mr. Sheldon enjoyed working on vehicles and computers, was always willing to lend a helping hand and would do Native American programs at the area schools and for the local boy scouts.

Mr. Sheldon was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Leonard Sheldon, Sr. and Ester (Stanfield) Sheldon and one son, Victor Sheldon.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Jo-Ann (Smith) Sheldon; two sons, Andrew Sheldon and Brandon Sheldon, all of Gillham; one sister, Jeannie Sheldon of Washington; one brother, Tony Sheldon of Florida and a number of nieces and nephews.

Viewing will be held from 10 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, October 29, 2018, at Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen. Cremation will follow.

Judy Tomlinson
Mrs. Judy Lynn Montgomery Tomlinson, age 71, a resident of De Queen, passed from this life on Tuesday, October 23, 2018, surrounded by family and friends at her home.

She was born to Manton and Catherine Griffin Montgomery in Shreveport, Louisiana, on October 9, 1947. She was a graduate of De Queen High School in 1965, and Dukes Cosmetology in 1966. She was the former owner of Hair Chalet and a dress shop called “Judy’s,” and was a homemaker. She loved her Lord, was baptized in Broken Bow lake, and was a member of the Victory Life Church in Broken Bow, Oklahoma. Judy was a gourmet cook and enjoyed traveling, shopping, their house boat, fishing and going to deer camp, but most of all, she cherished the time spent with her family and friends. She was loved and will be missed by all who knew her.

Judy was preceded in death by her first husband of 17 years, Harlon Bigham in 1982, her mother, Catherine Montgomery, her grandmother, Dollie Rusk, and a sister-in-law, Serena Roberts.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of almost 28 years and shared 35 years together, Tim T. Tomlinson of De Queen; one son, J. Mark Bigham and his finance, Susan Logan of De Queen; one grandson, T.J. Bigham and fiance Paige Henry of De Queen; her step-children, Chad and Misty Tomlinson, Lynn and Michelle Tomlinson all of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, Brandon and Angela Tomlinson of Idabel, Oklahoma, and Lexi and Ben Williams of Bristow, Oklahoma; her father, Manton Montgomery of De Queen; her brother and sister-in-law, Ronnie and Sheila Montgomery, her nephew, Brian Montgomery of De Queen; her nieces, Holly and her husband, Randy Rogers of De Queen, and Amy and her husband, Kalem Mickle of Lowell, Arkansas; her great niece, Candace Rogers of De Queen; her great-nephews, Chance Mickle of Lowell, Arkansas, and Spy Rogers of De Queen; and her aunt, Pat Wolcott of De Queen. She is also survived by her husband’s family, two brothers-in-law, Alvin Dale and his wife, Gail Tomlinson, and Thad and his wife, Margarita Tomlinson, all of Broken Bow, Oklahoma; a brother-in-law, Paul and his wife, Betty Roberts of Wright City, Oklahoma; seventeen step grandchildren, and eleven step-great-grandchildren. Special friends, Sharon and Spencer Logan, Kay and Mark Dunn, as well as, Sharon and Steve Chaney, Jerry and Virginia Petet, Sharon Phillips, Marian Chandler, Ed and Cindy Fulmer, Doug and Joan Hines, Sherri and Stanley Farley, John and Nancy While, Alyce Carole Mixon, Patti Smith, and Andy and Kimberly Fasken.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Judy Tomlinson will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 27, 2018, in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel, De Queen, with Bro. Lynn Tomlinson, Bro. Roy Conatser, and Bro. Jimmy Jeter officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Ida Cemetery, De Queen. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Friday, October 26, 2018, at the funeral home.
