Eual Eldo Roberts
Mr. Eual Eldo Roberts, age 96, a resident of Horatio, Arkansas died Tuesday, October 23, 2018, in De Queen, Arkansas.
He was born December 5, 1921, in Horatio. He was a security guard for Lone Star Army Depot, a member of the Williamson Community Church, enjoyed Horatio School sports, and was a United States Army Veteran.
Mr. Roberts was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Lura Pettigrew Roberts; his wives, Rosemary Gore Roberts and Bernice Roberts; his son, Tommy Eual “Moose” Roberts; two sisters, Georgia Slagel and Eula Young; one cousin, Ivy Roberts; and two daughters-in-law, Paula Sue Roberts and Alice Roberts.
He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Jerry Don and Anita Roberts of De Queen; one sister, Johnnie Gresham of Baytown, Texas; four grandchildren, Marianne Gandolph of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Tiger Roberts of Angleton, Texas, Mondie Allen of Horatio, and Bobbie Harris of Whitehall, Arkansas; seven great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Roberts will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 27, 2018, at the Williamson Community Church with Bro. Jimmy Roden officiating. Burial will follow in Millwee Cemetery under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Friday the 26th at the funeral home.
Leonard Joe Woods
Mr. Leonard Joe Woods, age 76, a resident of De Queen, passed from this life on Tuesday, October 16, 2018, in Little Rock, Arkansas, surrounded by his family.
He was born to Arvel Leonard and Betty Jo Rutherford Woods on July 19, 1942, in Wynnewood, Oklahoma. He received a Bachelor of Arts, specializing in English and Speech from the East Central College in Ada, Oklahoma. Leonard married the love of his life, Mary Ann Alexander, on August 16, 1963, in Wynnewood, Oklahoma. He was a devout Christian, loved the Lord, his family and his church family. He taught the adult Bible class at the De Queen Church of Christ, where he was a member and served as an Elder. He worked in the insurance business for 47 years, 43 of which he was an agent of Shelter Insurance in De Queen. He served as President for the De Queen Lions Club and the De Queen/Sevier County Chamber of Commerce and was a member of the De Queen Industrial Board. He served as the Director and President for the Sevier County Little League, where he coached the De Queen Lions, with his son, Jeff. He enjoyed reading his bible, duck and quail hunting, traveling with his wife, but most of all, he truly cherished the time spent with his children and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his dear grandson, Layne Woods; his grandmother, Myrtle “Maw” Woods; and his brother, Larry Woods.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of over 55 years, Mary Ann Woods of De Queen; one son, Jeff Woods and his wife Allison of De Queen; two daughters, Staci Young and her husband Bobby, and Shelly Halter and her husband Rocky, all of De Queen; five grandchildren, Aundra Cobb and her husband Clint, Alex Young and his wife Michaela, Gage Woods, Eli Halter and Micah Halter; two great-grandchildren, Aubrie Smith and Ava Cobb; as well as, nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host a friends.
Funeral Services for Mr. Leonard Woods will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, October 19, 2018, in the De Queen Church of Christ, with Toney Stowers and James McRae, Ministers, officiating. Burial will follow in the Redmen Cemetery under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., on Thursday, October 18th, at the funeral home.
Jenean Gayle Chandler
Mrs. Jenean Gayle Chandler, age 57, a resident of Maud, Texas died Sunday, October 14, 2018, in Texarkana, Texas.
She was born January 27, 1961, in New Boston, Texas. She was a homemaker and a waitress.
Mrs. Chandler was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Patricia Mills Hillis and two daughters, Amy Chandler and Theresa Clary.
She is survived by her husband, John David Chandler; three sons, Donald Foster of New Boston, Randall Foster also of New Boston, and Rick Chandler of Granbury, Texas; two brothers, Larry Hillis and Hal Hillis; three sisters, Jackie Harris, Fritzi Hills-Baugh, and Terry Hammonds; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services for Mrs. Chandler will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 18, 2018, in the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Chuck Mancil officiating. Burial will follow in Belleville Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from Noon-2:00 p.m., Thursday before the service.

June Dee Beutelschies King
Mrs. June Dee Beutelschies King, age 93, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas died Thursday, October 11, 2018, at her home.
Mrs. King was born June 9, 1925, in Antimony, Arkansas. She graduated from Gillham High in 1942 and Texarkana Business College in December of 1942. Mrs. King was an executive for Sun Gas Company in Dallas, Texas for 30 years. In 1983 she and her husband, John, retired to De Queen where she volunteered for the Sevier County Historical Society and was appointed director of the Sevier County Museum that she helped establish.
Mrs. King was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Arminta Brummett Beutelschies; her husband of 72 years, John Leonard King; two brothers, Carl and Orville Beutelschies; and three sisters, Hazel Badger, Louise Jamison, and Ruby Cox.
She is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Dena and Dennis Mercer of Duncanville, Texas, Judy Hoofman of Euless, Texas, and Karen and John Davidsaver of Mountain Home, Arkansas; one son and daughter-in-law, John C. and Marylynn King of Damascus, Maryland; eight grandchildren, Matt Mercer, Clint Woodall, Josh Mercer, Jenny Mercer, John Hoofman, Sam Clay, Natalie King, and Julie Ana King; 12 great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. King will be held at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, October 16, 2018, at her church, the Legacy Center, in De Queen with Pastor Chad Gallagher officiating. Burial will follow in the Smyrna Cemetery under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Monday the 15th at the funeral home.
Mr. Freddy Crabtree
Mr. Freddy Edward Crabtree, Sr., age 45, a resident of Lockesburg, passed from this life on Sunday, October 14, 2018, in the De Queen Medical Center.
He was born to Robert Wayne Crabtree and Vickie Marie Allen on September 7, 1973, in Dallas, Texas. He worked as a Masonry and was of the Pentecostal faith. He enjoyed fishing, camping, sports and aggravating his loved ones, but most of all, he cherished the time spent with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father; step-father, John Parker; his grandparents, Vivian Maass, Clearance Maass, and Carl Allen; uncles, Freddy Gean Allen and Gerald Friday; his aunt, Mary Irene Allen; and his cousins, Geraldine Willard and Chrissy Allen.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Wendy Crabtree of Lockesburg; one son, Freddy Edward Crabtree, Jr. of Montana; two step-children, Austin and Megan Dendy; his mother, Vickie Parker of Lockesburg; step-father, Roy Cagle; four brother, John Parker and his wife Sayana of Nashville, Bruce Parker and his wife Tiffany of Provo, Robert Crabtree and his wife Grace of Gunbarrel, Texas, and Don Crabtree of Lockesburg; two sisters, Margaret Cagle of Horatio, and Mary Regan and her husband Wendell of Texas; nieces and nephews, Peyton, Chelsea, Brooklynn, Frank, R.J., and many others; cousins, James (Buddy) Fitzgerald, Lee Roy Cook, Casandra Fitzgerald-Sykes, Carolyn Allen, James Cook, Jerry Allen, Barbie Holmes, Brenda Milton, Mary Mollenhauer, Gwen McKee and many others; aunts and uncles, Barbara Jackson, Carl Allen, Steve Allen, and Lawrence Allen; as well as, other relative and a host of friends.
Graveside services for Mr. Freddy Crabtree will be held at 12:00 P.M., Thursday, October 18, 2018, in the Millwee Cemetery, Horatio, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Wednesday, October 17th, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Mildred Hodges
Mrs. Mildred Bogan Hodges, age 82, a resident of Horatio, passed from this life on Saturday, October 13, 2018, in Texarkana, Texas.
She was born to James Littleton and Allie Molein Gore Bogan on April 16, 1936, in Horatio, Arkansas. She married the love of her life, Robert Hodges, Jr., on June 5, 1954, and to this marriage, four children were born. Mildred loved the Lord and taught Sunday School and Bible School for many years and she was also a member of the Rock Hill Baptist Church in Lockesburg. She was very active in her community and was a member of the Extension Homemakers of Sevier County, having served as the “Queen for the Day.” She was an avid supporter of the county 4-H chapter, and she was the PTO President while her children were in school. She enjoyed deer and squirrel hunting, her flowers and going to Gospel Singings, but most of all, she cherished the time spent with her children and grandchildren, whom affectionately called her “Granny.”
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband of over 64 years, Robert Hodges, Jr. of Horatio; four children, Melissa Dawn Liggin and her husband Willie of Horatio, Kayla Molein Hodges of Horatio, Bobby Littleton Hodges and his wife Teresa of Lockesburg, and John Allen Laster and his wife Dottie of New Braunfels, Texas; nine grandchildren, Labrada Vann and her husband Justin of Horatio, Ashley Lanford and her husband Justin of Columbus, Mississippi, Kirk Robert Hodges and his wife Tasha of Smithville, Oklahoma, Stephanie Laster of New Braunfels, Texas, Brandi Cole of De Queen, Trent Liggin and his wife Karen of Foreman, Robert Dale Heigle and his wife Chelsea of Rolling Fork, Mississippi, Blake Laster and his wife Gwen of Tyler, Texas, and Jeffery Liggin and his wife Sara of Greenbrier; twelve great-grandchildren; as well as, other relatives and a host of friends.

Mr. Ron Mills
Mr. Ronald Gene “Ronnie” Mills, age 68, a resident of De Queen, passed away peacefully, surrounded by friends and family on Saturday, October 13, 2018, in Texarkana, Texas.
He was born to Teba Lewis and Willodeen Cox Mills on March 6, 1950, in Dallas, Texas. He proudly served his country with the United States Navy, having served during the Vietnam War. Ronnie retired from the Red River Army Depot in 2016, after 14 years service. After retirement, he opened Ron’s Boat and Trailer Repair in Sevier County where he served the fishermen and sportsmen alike with all their boat repair needs. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, hot rods and car shows, restoring cars, and he was particularly proud of his 2006 Chevrolet SSR. Most of all, Ronnie cherished the time spent with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Teba Lewis Mills, Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Frankie Mills of De Queen; two sons, Ronald Tyler Mills of Jacksonville, Florida, and Justin Lee Mills and his wife Trish of Peoria, Arizona; two step-sons, Casey Jackson of Jonesboro, Arkansas, and Zach Jackson of De Queen; his mother, Willodeen Mills Carey of De Queen; five grandchildren, Kayliana, Kinsley, and Kloey Mills, and Sunny and Charley Jackson; as well as, a special cousin, Greg Marshall of New Boston, Texas, other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral Services with Navy rites will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, October 17, 2018, in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Tim Johnson officiating, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, October 16th, at the funeral home.
