Eulis Smith Dalrymple
Mr. Eulis Smith Dalrymple, age 91, a resident of Umpire, Arkansas, died Tuesday, August 21, 2018, at his home.
He was born December 18, 1926 in Umpire. He was a farmer and attended Athens Missionary Baptist Church.
Mr. Dalrymple was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis Smith and Winnie Strasner Dalrymple; an infant sister; and a grandson, Phillip Kevin Efird.
He is survived by his wife, Billie Jean Manasco Dalrymple; a daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Phillip Efird of Umpire; two grandchildren, Matthew Kyle Efird and wife Lesli and Sarah Anne Frachiseur; six great grandchildren, Trey Allen Frachiseur, Peyton Lane Frachiseur, Alexandra Spaine Efird, Samantha Manasco, Tristan Deputy and Camryn Johnson.
Funeral services for Mr. Dalrymple will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 24, 2018 in the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel in Dierks with Bro. Scott Kitchens officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethel Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, August 23rd at the funeral home in Dierks.
Mr. Paul Jefferies
Mr. Paul Edward Jefferies, age 87, a resident of Ashdown, Arkansas, died Monday, August 20, 2018 at his home.
He was born to Claude and Ailene Jefferies on April 22, 1931 in Keevil, Arkansas. He married the prettiest girl in Monroe Country, Veda Burton , on October 4, 1951 in Brinkley, Arkansas. After serving in the Army and National Guard, he and Veda raised seven children, whom he loved to spend his time with. He was a machinist for 22 years, working for Nekoosa, he was also a carpenter, artist, and musician. He was a man of many talents and when given the chance, he was a dang good fisherman. He was a wonderful father and husband. He was a kind man and a friend to many. He loved life and he always tried to help others.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Paul Burton Jefferies.
He is survived by his wonderful wife, Veda Burton Jefferies of Ashdown, Arkansas; seven children, Paul and his wife, Jean Ann Jefferies of Ashdown, Bryan Jefferies of Texarkana, Texas, Matthew Jefferies of Ashdown, Alonna and her husband, Ernie Almeranti of Troy Michigan, Trina and her husband Terry Day of Ashdown, Amber Ybarra of Newport, Arkansas, and Carson Jefferies of Ashdown; ten grandchildren; three great grandchildren; as well as, nieces, nephews and other relatives and a host of friends.
Casual memorial services for Mr. Paul Jefferies will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, August 25, 2018 in the Central Baptist Church, 271 West Commerce Street, Ashdown, with Bro. Don Embry and Chaplain Rufus Robinson officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen.
The family wished to extend their deepest appreciation to Steve, Becky and Jessica Scarborough, special friends of the family.

Nicky Joe Hofert
Nicky “Nick” Joe Hofert, 65, passed away from this life on Wednesday, August 15th, 2018 surrounded by loving family at his home in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
He was born to Betty Jo Hofert Cooper and Wayne Hofert of Iowa City, Iowa on November 24, 1952. At a very young age Nick came to know and love David Cooper as a loving father.
Nick was a graduate of De Queen High School in De Queen, Arkansas in 1970 where he was very active in Football and Track, and had many dear friends. He was a member of the National Guard from 1972 to 1978. He was a loving husband to Joan Shaw Hofert. They enjoyed spending time with their family, watching professional and college sports and spending time at Lake Tenkiller Oklahoma with family and friends.
At his time of death, he was employed by Twin Cities Ready Mix as a Plant Manager and worked a total of 18 years for Twin Cities. His exemplary integrity and work ethic endeared him to the company owners and staff. Working for Twin Cities Ready Mix was a great source of pride and joy in his life.
Nick was preceded in death by father, Wayne Hofert; stepfather, David Cooper; sister, Charlene Dowdy; and brother, Bill Hofert.
Nick is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Joan Hofert; mother, Betty Cooper; sons Brian Craig, wife Kara Faye Craig, and Nicholas Hofert; children by marriage Sarah and Kim Jackson, Billy and Amanda Popejoy; grandchildren McKenzie, London, Josie, and Jimmy.
Visitation will be held from 4:00pm to 7:00pm on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at Floral Haven, 6500 S. 129th E. Ave., Broken Arrow, Oklahoma 74012. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, August 23, 2018 in The Rose Chapel at Floral Haven. Burial will follow at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens, Garden of Prayer in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.

Mrs. Kristal Hardin
Mrs. Kristal Lynn Hardin, age 60, a resident of De Queen, AR, died Tuesday August 14, 2018, in Texarkana, TX. Kristal was born September 27, 1957, in Bay City MI, to Arland Duane Krumm and Judith Ann Krumm.
Kristal was preceded in death by her father Arland Duane Krumm, her husband Thomas Robert Hardin II, her brothers Arland Duane Krumm Jr, Darel Allen Krumm, her son Thomas Robert (Robby) Hardin III, and her beloved grandson Micah Wesley Hardin. She leaves to cherish her loving memory her mother Judith Ann Krumm of North Fort Myers Fl, one sister Julie Ann Krumm of Fort Myers Fl, one daughter Tiffany Joy Hardin of Tampa Fl, a sister-in-law Patty Dougherty of Orange City, Fl, a number of nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
Kristal faithfully served as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses her entire life. She enjoyed telling people about her hope of everlasting life on a Paradise Earth, in a healthy body, that will come about through God’s Kingdom. She was a member of the English Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses in De Queen, AR. She obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, was a Freelance Journalist/Columnist for the De Queen Bee’s Kristal’s Korner and for Muscular Dystrophy’s Quest Magazine. Kristal was a local writer/illustrator of children’s books, a favorite being “The True Story of Mr. Buckets”. Her skill and passion for photography won her many awards in local and state-wide exhibits.
Kristal’s love of life was evident in her determined, down-to-earth approach to life’s unrelenting challenges. Her love for Jehovah God was evident by never blaming Him. She was a lover of music, movie quotes, and her dogs. She was inspiring, encouraging, and content with life. Kristal will be remembered for her positive loving spirit, lightheartedness, loyalty, compassion and selflessness. To meet her was to love her.
Respecting her wishes, no services will be scheduled. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen.
Randy Lamar Bakenhus
Mr. Randy Lamar Bakenhus, age 57, a resident De Queen, Arkansas, died Thursday, August 16, 2018, at his home.
He was born August 31, 1960, in De Queen. He was an employee of Flowers Baking Company and a member of the Church of the Nazarene.
Mr. Bakenhus was preceded in death by his parents, William L. and Beulah Wayland Bakenhus and one son, William Derick Bakenhus.
He is survived by his wife, Gaythy Bakenhus; one son, Dustin Lamar Bakenhus of De Queen; one daughter, Reisa Lynnell Bakenhus of De Queen; one sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Tommy Henthorn of Idabel, Oklahoma; and several special cousins.
Funeral services for Mr. Bakenhus will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 18, 2018, in the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tim Johnson officiating. There will be a private family committal service following the funeral.
Mrs. Euna Sanders Williams
Mrs. Euna Carol Canady Sanders Williams, age 65, a resident of New Boston, Texas, died Saturday, August 11, 2018, in a Texarkana, Texas hospital, surrounded by family.
She was born to Winford and Mary Ella Carlile Canady on October 3, 1952, in Guymon, Oklahoma. She was a teachers aide having worked in the Foreman Public School District for 16 years and she was a member of the First Baptist Church of Foreman. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband, Richard L. Williams of New Boston, Texas; three daughters, Lisa Gail Sanders, Beth Cauley and her husband Chad, and Tracey Leigh Hicks and her husband Shawn, all of Foreman, Arkansas; ten grandchildren, Derrick, Trista, Carli, Laken, Landon, Cara, Grace, Abigail, Hazin and Maverick; one sister, Gail Dainwood and her husband Bruce of Montague, Texas; three nephews, Shannon Kirby, Brannen Kirby and Chad Giovengo; as well as, other family members and a host of friends.
Memorial services for Mrs. Euna Sanders Williams will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at the First Baptist Church of Foreman with Bros. Duaine Blackmore and Trent Liggin officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 P.M., Wednesday until service time, at the church. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen.
Mary Grace Brown Sanders
Mrs. Mary Grace Brown Sanders, age 85, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas died Thursday, August 9, 2018, at her home.
She was born July 9, 1933, in Magnolia, Arkansas. Mrs. Sanders was a rancher and a member of the De Queen Church of Christ. She enjoyed the outdoors and fishing. She was also a former barrel racer and horse woman and engaged in quilting and knitting. Mrs. Sanders was taught to crochet by a French lady while stationed in France with her husband. Some of her other activities were leather tooling and gardening. She liked to beat Walt in producing the first tomato of the season from her tomato plants.
Mrs. Sanders was preceded in death by her parents, Pete H. and Myrtie Druscilla Brown and her first husband, Ted Powell.
She is survived by her husband, Walter M. Sanders; a daughter, Wendy Clay and husband Ronnie of De Queen; a son, Chris Powell and wife Vonne of Ft. Worth, Texas; two step-sons, Monty Sanders and wife Rosa of Yuma, Arizona and Matt Sanders of Stillwater, Oklahoma; a step- daughter, Andrea Stafford and husband Clifford of Horatio, Arkansas; five grandsons, Tim Clay and wife Julia, Ted Clay and wife Chrysten, Wade Powell and wife Lena, Avery Powell and wife Jamie, and Cleve Powell and wife Krista; two step-grandsons, Hunter Sanders and Conner Stafford; two step-granddaughters, Katherine and Kaitlyn Stafford; and three great-grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Sanders will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, August 12, 2018, in Redmen Cemetery with Bobby Tatum and Tony Stowers officiating under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Saturday the 11th at the funeral home.
