Lila Jeffcoat Miller
Mrs. Lila Jeffcoat Miller entered into the loving arms of our Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 1, 2018, surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Miller was the youngest daughter of Barney A. Jeffcoat and Bertha J. Priest Jeffcoat born on Easter Sunday, April 17, 1929, in Sevier County, Arkansas, where she was a lifelong resident.
She was preceded in death by her parents, the love of her life, J.C. (Jake) Miller, Jr. on October 29, 2007, and her sister Matha Faye Goode. Lila graduated from De Queen High School in 1947; she then attended Capital City Business College before returning to De Queen. Upon returning to De Queen she was hired by Dierks Company for a short time before being employed by the US Dept. of Agriculture in the ASCS office where she worked for over 35 years. She also served as the treasurer for the Mt. Ida Cemetery Association for 37 years.
She married Jake on May 19, 1956, and attended Geneva Missionary Baptist Church from that time on. They were blessed with two children who survive her, son Ricky J Miller and wife, Karla Miller; daughter Brenda Shipman and husband David; two grandchildren, Joshua Shipman, Jarah Shipman Russell and spouse, Steven Russell, in addition to many other relatives and friends.
Services for Mrs. Miller will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, March 4, 2018, in the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Travis Lane officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Ida Cemetery, where her great grandparents donated land for the cemetery in 1892.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., before the service.
The family will be at Mrs. Miller's home at 355 Farm to Market road in De Queen.

Jimmy Wayne Lamproe
Mr. Jimmy Wayne Lamproe, age 56, a resident of Grannis, Arkansas, died Wednesday, February 28, 2018, at his home.
He was born September 29, 1961, in Van Buren, Arkansas. He was an employee of Tyson Foods.
Mr. Lamproe was preceded in death by his parents, Rubin and Lucille Marie Chamberland Lamproe; and two sisters, Betty Desalvo and infant Carolyn.
He is survived by two daughters, Victoria Diaz of Grannis, and Natasha Lamproe Martin of Fort Smith, Arkansas; four brothers, Darrell Lamproe, Gary Lamproe, Larry Lamproe, and Paul Lamproe; three sisters, Dorothy Mendoza, Ruby Chism, and Denise Fulfer; and four granddaughters, Bianca Diaz, Alyssa, Lillian, and Chole Martin.
Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 10, 2018, in the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation arrangements made under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.
Mr. Elbie Cannon, Sr.
Mr. Elbie Kirkman Cannon, Sr., age 76, a resident of De Queen, died Saturday, February 24, 2018, at his home.
He was born to Johnnie Kirkman and Thelma Ruth Moore Cannon in Cooper, Texas, on February 8, 1942. He was retired, and enjoyed all outdoor activities, including fishing, and hunting. He loved the lake and camping, and was an animal lover, especially dogs.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Chester Cannon and J. L. Cannon, three sisters, Evelyn Voyles, Ethel George, and Marie Kirby.
He is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Tammy Arneson of Stephenville, Texas, Debbie and Paul Harris of Greenville, Mississippi, and Laura and Bob Lange of Katy, Texas, two sons and daughters-in-law, Elbie Kirkman, Jr. and Alicia Cannon of Covington, Louisiana, and Anthony and Teresa Cannon of Hot Springs, Arkansas, five brothers and a sister-in-law, Ray and Ann Cannon of Wickes, Arkansas, Don Cannon of Alvarado, Texas, Cecil Cannon of Texas, Kenneth Cannon of Midlothian, Texas, and Bruce Cannon of Atoka, Oklahoma, six grandchildren, Zachary Harris of Greenville, Mississippi, Cera Lange, Kelsey Lange both of Katy, Texas, Kelly Cannon and Austin Cannon and Dalton Dowell all of Hot Springs, Arkansas, and a number of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Funeral Services for Mr. Elbie Cannon, Sr. will be held Saturday, March 3, 2018, at 2:00 p.m., in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Russell McNeeley officiating. Burial will follow in Daniel Cemetery, Wickes, Arkansas, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home. Visitation will be Friday, March 2nd from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Chandler Funeral Home. Mrs. Arlene Martin
Mrs. Valerie Arlene Hosey Martin, age 85, a resident of De Queen, died Saturday, February 24, 2018, in the Bear Creek Healthcare, De Queen.
Mrs. Martin was born to Ira and Pearl Tullis Hosey on July 16, 1932, in the Schaal Community in Howard County, Arkansas. She was a member of the Church of Christ in De Queen, as well as, the Sunshine Club, Union Quilting Club, and the Red Hat Club. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, Jack Moulder and Henry Martin, and two brothers, Billy Wayne Hosey and Dale Hosey.
She is survived by three daughters, Sharon Diaz, Carolyn Ng, both of De Queen, Arkansas, and Valerie Sue Levein of Corpus Christi, Texas; one brother, Jimmy Ray Hosey of Nashville, Arkansas; two sisters, Sandra Kay Hosey and Dorothy Hill, both of Mineral Springs, Arkansas; twelve grandchildren, Stacy Timmerman, Jeremy Diaz, Nicholas Diaz, Jennifer Gentry, Allen Ng, Benjamin Ng, Andrew Ng, Blake Levein, Amy Levein, Michael Levein, Bradley Gardner, and Shawn Gardner; thirteen great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Arlene Martin will be held on Thursday, March 1, 2018, at 2:00 P.M., in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Redmen Cemetery under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 28th, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Melinda Jean Comstock Price
Mrs. Melinda Jean Comstock Price, age 56, a resident of Dierks, Arkansas, died Sunday, February 25, 2018, at her home.
She was born January 8, 1962. She worked for Poulan, and Mission Plastics.
Mrs. Price was preceded in death by her father, Leon Comstock; two brothers, Rick and Johnny Comstock; and her sister, Regina Comstock.
She is survived by her husband, Jesse Price of Dierks; one son and daughter-in-law, Shannon and Kimberly Wallace of Corpus Christi, Texas; her mother, Minnie Jane Comstock of Dierks; her brother, Russell Comstock of Hot Springs, Arkansas; and two grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 28th at the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel in Dierks.
Leland Oaks
Mr. Leland Oaks, age 67, a resident of Dierks, Arkansas, died Saturday, February 24, 2018 in Texarkana, Texas.
He was born June 3, 1950 in Lubbock, Texas. He was a retired truck driver.
Mr. Oaks was preceded in death by his parents, John Oaks and Mildred Pennington Jackson; his step-father, Eddie Jackson and one grandson, Trisston Oaks.
He is survived by his wife, Allie Hile Oaks of Dierks; one son, Darrell Oaks also of Dierks; one daughter, Heather Marksberry of Houston, Texas; one granddaughter, Alexis Nicole Oaks and he had five brothers and two sisters.
Graveside funeral services for Mr. Oaks will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 27, 2018, in the Fellowship Cemetery with Calvin Parker officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in Dierks.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-6:00 p.m., Monday, February 26th at the funeral home in Dierks.
Doris Edna (Gore) Kitzman
Mrs. Doris Edna (Gore) Kitzman, age 90, a resident of Horatio, Arkansas, died Saturday, February 24, 2018, at her home.
She was born February 28, 1927 in the Stringtown Community in Sevier County, Arkansas to Wiley and Carrie “Pink” Gore. She was a homemaker and loved to garden and play games.
Mrs. Kitzman was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Andrew Charles Kitzman; and nine siblings.
She is survived by a number of nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services for Mrs. Kitzman will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 26, 2018, in the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Jimmy Roden officiating. Burial will follow in the Millwee Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at 1:00 p.m., Monday, February 26th, before the service.
