Mauriene F. Young Sullivan
Mrs. Mauriene F. Young Sullivan, age 72, a resident of Horatio, Arkansas, died Monday, February 12, 2018, in Texarkana, Texas.
Mauriene was born March 29, 1945, in De Queen, Arkansas. She was a homemaker. Not a day went by that she wasn’t trying to help someone; she had the biggest heart and the best iced tea around. Mauriene had a smile that would light up a room and always a kind word and hug to go along with it. She never met a stranger and welcomed everyone into her home as if they were her own. She devoted her life to her kids and grandkids and will be missed by many.
Mrs. Sullivan was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Dale Sullivan; her parents, Carl Young and LaVerne Cornelius Roan; a sister, Fredia Leathers; and a son, Todd Smith.
She is survived by three daughters and their spouses, Schelly and Rick Paul of North Little Rock, Arkansas, Debi and Roger Rios of Texarkana, Arkansas, and Amanda and Heath Culp of De Queen; five grandchildren, Jonathan and Darnell Paul, Harley and Hailey Culp, and Addison Rios; two brothers, Jerry Young of Dardanelle, Arkansas, and Danny Young of Texarkana, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Memorial services for Mrs. Sullivan will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 17, 2018, in the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Jimmy Roden officiating.
Jesus Fraire Rubio
Mr. Jesus Fraire Rubio, age 34, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas, died Friday, February 9, 2018, in Little River County.
He was born September 20, 1983 in Durango, Mexico. He was employed by Pilgrims, attended St. Barbara Catholic Church, and coached his son’s soccer team.
Mr. Rubio was preceded in death by an infant son, Brayan Rubio and his father, Jose Isabel Fraire.
He is survived by his wife, Raquel Fraire; two sons, Jordy and Brandon; two daughters, Ashley and Itzel; his mother, Rosa Rubio; one brother, Hector Rubio; four sisters, Laura, Lillianna, Yartiza, and Esmerelda; and a number of other relatives.
A vigil service including the Holy Rosary will begin at 7:00 p.m., Friday, February 16, 2018 in the Monsignor Scott Friend Pastoral Center.
Funeral Mass for Mr. Rubio will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, February 17, 2018 in the Monsignor Scott Friend Pastoral Center at St. Barbara Catholic Church with Father Juan Manjarez officiating. Burial will follow in Redmen Cemetery, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.
A benefit account has been set up for Jesus and Axel at First State Bank in De Queen.
Jaydon Axel Fraire
Jaydon Axel Fraire, age 3, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas, died Saturday, February 10, 2018, in Texarkana, Texas.
He was born November 8, 2014 in Texarkana.
Axel was preceded in death by his father, Jesus Fraire Rubio.
Axel is survived by his mother, Raquel Fraire; two brothers, Jordy and Brandon; two sisters, Ashley and Itzel; his grandmother, Rosa Rubio and Maria and Manuel Martinez; two uncle, Hector Fraire and Jesus Martinez; six aunts, Laura, Lillianna, Yartiza, Esmerelda, Esperanza and Manuela Martinez; and a number of other relatives.

Fred Dickerson
Mr. Fred Dickerson, age 88, a resident of Foreman, Arkansas, died Friday, February 9, 2018 in the Little River Nursing and Rehab, Ashdown.
He was born to R. D. and Beulah Westmoreland Dickerson in Vivian, Louisiana, on October 25, 1930. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, having served in the U. S. Navy, and was retired from Red River Army Depot.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Syble Marie Dickerson, a grandchild, Allan Johnson, and all of his siblings.
He is survived by a daughter, Debra Christene Lewis of Foreman, Arkansas, three grandchildren, Amanda Johnson, Layne Johnson, and Chris Dollarhide, four great-grandchildren, Thomas Greys, Lilly Greys, Kayla Dollarhide, and Garrett Dollarhide, and a number of nieces and nephews.
No services are planned at this time. Cremation under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen, Arkansas.
John Harold Lawrence
Mr. John Harold Lawrence, age 83, a resident of Dierks, Arkansas, died Friday, February 9, 2018, at his home.
He was born April 5, 1934 in Nathan, Arkansas. He was a former employee of Weyerhaeuser, a U.S. Navy veteran, and a member of the Dierks Church of Christ.
Mr. Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents, John W. and Vica Oma Porter Lawrence.
He is survived by his wife, Henriellen Coleman Lawrence of Dierks; a son and daughter-in-law, John and Ashley Lawrence of Fayetteville, Arkansas; two granddaughters, Madison and Ila Lawrence; and a number of nephews.
Funeral services for Mr. Lawrence will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 12, 2018 in the Dierks Church of Christ with Jerry Mounts officiating. Burial will follow in the Dierks Cemetery, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in Dierks.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Sunday, February 11, 2018 at the funeral home in Dierks.
Rev. Clista Lemons
Rev. Clista Norene Lowry Lemons, age 79, a resident of Horatio, Arkansas, died Saturday, February 10, 2018 in the De Queen Medical Center, De Queen, Arkansas.
She was born in Ranger, Texas, on April 18, 1938, to T. O. and Jauidell Reese Lowry.
She was a minister of the Gospel, retired from Tyson Foods, a former employee of Weyerhaeuser, as well as a homemaker. She enjoyed painting, her fish, ceramics, and cherished the time spent with family, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of over 55 years, Rev. Lee Edwards Lemons, her parents, two sister, Wilda Odvia Lowry, Myrtle Lucille Cowart, a daughter-in-law, Kim Gogo, and a grandson, Jagger Thompson.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Chinna and Gary Jones of Umpire, Arkansas, three sons and a daughter-in-law, Kevin and Kim Lemons of Simms, Texas, Opie Lemons and Lee Lemons, Jr. both of Horatio, 15 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside memorial services for Rev. Clista Lemons will be held Thursday, February 15, 2018, in the Old Center Cemetery, Horatio, Arkansas, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen.
Mr. Delmon Williamson
Mr. Delmon Everett Williamson, age 71, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas, died Tuesday, February 6, 2018 in the Arkansas Heart Hospital, Little Rock, Arkansas
He was born to Everett Preston and Edith Velma Pickett Williamson in De Queen, Arkansas, on April 22, 1946 in De Queen, Arkansas. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving with the U. S. Marines, and also served in the Army Reserve. He was retired Weyerhaeuser Company with 34 years service. He was a Baptist, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, tinkering, and was an avid reader.
Above all, he was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, and cherished the time spent with family. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Chad Williamson, a grandson, Dylan Blake Heikes, and a brother, Kelvin Williamson.
He is survived by his wife, Joan Williamson of De Queen, three sons and daughters-in-law, Michael Edward and Amber Williamson, Scott Dewayne and Lacie Williamson all of De Queen, Jimmy Wayne and Cathy Eastman of Nashville, Arkansas, two daughters and sons-in-law, Sarah Jane and Keith Short of Horatio, and Kristi Lavon and James Heikes of Lockesburg, fourteen grandchildren, Kimberly, Dakota, Hannah, Shawn, Isaiah, Alle, Daniel, Tanner, Ashlyn, Zachary, Zoey, Riley, Reese, and Brandon, Two sisters and a brother-in-law, Loraine and Howard Adcock of De Queen, and Elaine Dugan of Horatio. Delmon is also survived by his wife’s family, his brothers-in law, David and his wife, Suzanne Churchwell and John and his wife, Lucretia Churchwell all of Eagletown, Oklahoma, a sister-in-law, Rhonda and her husband, Justin Smith of Texarkana, Texas, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services of Mr. Delmon Williamson will be held at 2:00P.M., Sunday, February 11, 2018 in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jimmy Roden officiating. Burial with military rites will follow in the Clear Creek Cemetery, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home. Visitation will be Saturday, February 10th from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., at Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen.
