Morris Clay Gore

Mr. Morris Clay Gore, age 65, a resident of Dallas, Texas, died Wednesday, January 24, 2018, in Fort Worth, Texas.

He was born January 6, 1953, in De Queen, Arkansas. He was an attorney in Dallas and a member of Park Cities Baptist Church in Dallas.

Mr. Gore was preceded in death by his mother, Cora Faye Young Gore; and one sister, Kathy Gore Phillips.

He is survived by his wife Cindy Gore; two daughters and son-in-law, Nicole Gore and Natalie Gore Campbell and Ian Campbell, all of Dallas; his father, Henry Gore of Aledo, Texas; one sister, Jan Padilla and her husband Eddie, of Albuquerque, New Mexico; and a brother-in-law, Paul Phillips of Arlington, Texas.

Funeral services for Mr. Gore will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 27, 2018, in the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel in De Queen. Burial will follow at Millwee Cemetery in Horatio, Arkansas.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, one hour prior to the service.

Gary Joe Shotts

Mr. Gary Joe Shotts, age 60, a resident of Newalla, Oklahoma, died Saturday, January 20, 2018, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

He was born August 21, 1957, in Nacogdoches, Texas. Mr. Shotts was a welder and a United States Navy Veteran.

Mr. Shotts was preceded in death by his mother, Teresa Irene Teel Shotts.

He is survived by his wife, Paveena Shotts; his daughters, Wiphada Pansa-nga and Samantha and Darrell Simpson and their children, Rylan and Kendall; a son, Garan Beau and wife Jazmin Shotts; his father, Robert Lee Shotts; two sisters, Tina Brandon and her children, Aaron and Megan and Attilla Long and her children, Billy and Lisa.

Cremation arrangements by Wilkerson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Ofelia Angeles

Mrs. Ofelia Angeles, age 80, a resident of De Queen, died in De Queen, on Tuesday, January 23, 2018. She was born in Mexico on August 11, 1937. She was a homemaker, and a member of St. Barbara’s Catholic Church.

She enjoyed crocheting, cooking, sewing, and cherished her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Prospero Angeles, three infant children, and a sister, Melquiades Romero.

She is survived by four sons and three daughters-in-law, Juan and Maria de Lourdes Angeles of Mexico, Nicolas and Candida Angeles, Pedro Angeles, and Dario and Monique Angeles all of De Queen, Arkansas, five daughters and sons-in-law, Irene and Rosendo Moreno of Hidalgo, Mexico, Amanda and Venustiano Gomez of De Queen, Maricela and Juan Ordonez of Mexico, Julia and Antonio Moreno of De Queen, and Veronica and Armando Lopez of Hope, Arkansas, a brother, Pompeyo Acosta of Hidalgo, Mexico, a sister, Simona Romero Lopez of Hidalgo, Mexico,21 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Mass will be Thursday, January 25, 2018, at 10:00 A.M., in St. Barbara’s Catholic Church in De Queen. Burial will follow in the Redmen Cemetery, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home. A Rosary and visitation will be at 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, January 24, 2018, in St. Barbara’s Catholic Church.

Rufus Burton Coulter

Mr. Rufus Burton Coulter, age 83, a resident of Lockesburg, Arkansas, died Sunday, January 21, 2018, at his home.

He was born October 30, 1934, in Lockesburg. He was a former Tyson employee, a farmer, a U.S. Navy veteran and member of the Lockesburg Church of Christ.

Mr. Coulter was preceded in death by his parents, Rufus Kearney and Violet Garner Coulter; one brother, Billy Garner Coulter and one sister, Mary Irene Duncan.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Bennie Tipton Coulter; three sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Ange Coulter, Michael and Lisa Coulter and Eric and Reba Coulter, all of Lockesburg; three grandchildren, Kayla Coulter, Lindsay Coulter and Benjamin Coulter and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mr. Coulter will be held at 2:00p.m., Wednesday, January 24, 2018, at the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel in De Queen with Jimmy Young officiating. Burial will follow in Coulter Memorial Cemetery in Lockesburg.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 23rd at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Arkansas Children’s Hospital, 1 Childrens Way, Slot 661, Little Rock, AR 72202.

Mrs. Allie Isham

Mrs. Allie Emogene Rose Isham, age 89, a resident of Dierks, Arkansas, died Sunday, January 21, 2018, in De Queen, Arkansas.

She was born to Edward Daniel and Lillie Abitha Woodall Rose on December 21, 1928 in Danville, Arkansas. She was a CNA, having worked in Children’s Hospital, Little Rock, Sparks Hospital in Fort Smith, and both the Nashville Hospital and Nursing Home, as well as a homemaker. She and Bro. Jack were members of Nix Chapel, and she enjoyed sewing, quilting, cooking, singing, flowers, and gardening, but most of all, she cherished the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, Marshal Rose, Iva Marsh, Joe Rose, Oscar Rose, Roy Rose, and Faye Rose, a grandchild, Roger Sharp, and a great-grandchild, Destiny Winslow.

She is survived by her husband of over 73 years, Jack Isham of Dierks, Arkansas, two sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry Don and Barbara Isham of Waldron, Arkansas, Joseph David and Joan Isham of Dierks, four daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn Jean and Junior Allen of Dierks, Tyjunah and Richard Winslow of Rolling Fork, Mississippi, Jessie Ann and David White, and Jackie Lyons all of Dierks, thirteen grandchildren, Dewayne Allen, Donny Allen, Michael Allen, Bruce Isham, Jennifer Galinato, Mark Isham, Keturah Blackburn, Ricky Winslow, Gene Clevenger, Tiffany Smith, Jonathan Isham, Zeke Pennington, and Katelyn Proffit, thirty three great-grandchildren and nineteen great-great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews, including a special nephew, Charles Rose, and a special niece, Pam Moore Crawford.

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Allie Isham will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, January 24, 2018 in the Old Liberty Cemetery, Dierks, Arkansas with Joe and Jerry Isham officiating, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen.

Ethel Waldon

Mrs. Ethel Lorene Waldon, age 95, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas, died Sunday, January 21, 2018, at her home.

She was born July 1, 1922, in Ultima Thule, Arkansas. She was a homemaker, restaurant manager and member of the De Queen Church of Christ.

Mrs. Waldon was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Mackie Clark Wolf; her husband, Oliver J. Waldon; an infant son, Curtis Gene Waldon; two brothers, Houston Wolf and Preston Wolf; two sisters, Bernice Dolph and Kathryn Gentry and one son-in-law, Harold Yates.

She is survived by four daughters and their spouses, Barbara and Billy Whisenhunt of Winthrop, Arkansas, Carolyn and Newal Yarbrough of Sour Lake, Texas, Jeanie and Mike Beck of Glendale, Arizona and LaDonna Yates of De Queen; one son and daughter-in-law, John and Denise Waldon of De Queen; 16 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Waldon will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 26, 2018, in the De Queen Church of Christ with Toney Stowers and Benjamin Neeley officiating. Burial will follow in the Cane Creek Cemetery under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, January 25, 2018 at the funeral home.

Rayine Faith Hobbs

Rayine Faith Hobbs, infant daughter of April Thrash, passed away Saturday, January 20, 2018 in Little Rock, Arkansas.

She was born December 31, 2017 in Texarkana, Texas.

Rayine is survived by her mother, April Thrash of De Queen, Arkansas; two uncles, James Venable of Lockesburg, Arkansas, and Richard Neese of De Queen; two aunts Kristel Bailey of Horatio, Arkansas, and Angela Bedford of Minnesota; her great grandmother, Ima Howard of De Queen; and a number of great uncles, great aunts, and cousins.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 23, 2018 in the Chapel Hill Cemetery, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.
