Flora Ann "Flo" Dickinson
Mrs. Flora Ann “Flo” Dickinson, age 96, a resident of Horatio, Arkansas, died Sunday, January 21, 2018, at her home.
She was born February, 12, 1921, in Horatio. She was a retired home economics teacher and a member of the Horatio United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Dickinson was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. R.C. and Flora Belle Gray Dickinson; three brothers, Dr. Roger Dickinson, Dr. Bill Dickinson and Dr. Gordon Dickinson and two sisters, Bett Horne and Juanita Dean.
She is survived by 7 nieces and nephews.
Graveside services for Mrs. Dickinson will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 23, 2018, at Horatio Cemetery with Kelly Gage officiating, under the direction of the Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.
Mrs. Gladys Pressley
Mrs. Gladys Mae Harrison Pressley, age 72, a resident of Lockesburg, died Saturday, January 20, 2018 in the Hospice of Texarkana, Texas.
She was born to Lloyd W. and Gladys Elizabeth Bassham Harrison on January 11, 1946 in Lockesburg, Arkansas. She was a member of the Harrison Church on the Hill, and was a homemaker. She enjoyed bowling, and an animal lover, especially her dog, Peanut, and her cat, Socks. Most of all, she cherished the time spent with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Roger Pressley, and her siblings, Vernon Harrison, Benny Ray Harrison, Delores Cole, Vernell Jefferys, and Ethel Leathers.
She is survived by three daughters and two son-in-laws, Kathy and Kerry Irons, Kandie and Waine Irons, and Darla Pressley all of Lockesburg, a son and daughter-in-law, John and Sherry McKaughan of Ashland, Mississippi, seven grandchildren, Kyle Irons of Lockesburg, Deon Pressley of Texas, Leslie Wommack of Clarksville, Arkansas, Ashley Webb of Bentonville, Arkansas, Macy McKaughan, Michael Bennett of both of Ashland, Miss, and Kasey Allen of Lamar, Mississippi, five great-grandchildren, Zaelynn, Alayna, Emma, Kenslie, and Hayze Allen, one brother, Willie Jean Harrison of Lockesburg, and one sister, Barbara Sharp of Tyler, Texas.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Gladys Pressley will be held at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, January 23, 2018 in the Belleville Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the Belleville Cemetery, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen. Visitation will be on Monday, January 22 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M.. at Chandler Funeral Home.
James Leo Boyd
Mr. James Leo Boyd, age 91, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas, died Friday, January 19, 2018, at Dierks Health & Rehab.
He was born July 25, 1926, in Centerpoint, Arkansas. Mr. Boyd drove a propane truck for Synergy Gas and was a United States Army Veteran who served during World War II.
Mr. Boyd was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Craven and Mattie Trott Boyd; his wife, Nancy Allen Boyd; one son, Allen Boyd; one brother, Duane Boyd; one sister, Charldeane Boyd; and one great grandson, William Brawley.
He is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Jimmye Lou and Tommy Jordan of De Queen and Ena Lynn Pemberton of Charleston, Arkansas; 5 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and 7 great-great grandchildren.
A private memorial service for Mr. Boyd will be held at a later.

Joyce Evans
Mrs. Joyce Evans, age 71, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas, died Wednesday, January 18, 2018, in Texarkana, Texas.
She was born February 15, 1946.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and LeeJoy Alice Slaton Evans and one brother, Walter Evans.
She is survived by survived by several cousins.
Funeral services for Mrs. Evans will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 22, 2018, in the Old Town Cemetery in Tuskahoma, Oklahoma.
Mr. Silvestre Flores-Sanchez, Jr.
Mr. Silvestre Flores-Sanchez, Jr., age 38, a resident of De Queen, died Tuesday, January 16, 2018 in the Plano Medical Center, following an automobile accident.
He was born to Silvestre Flores, Sr. and Micaela Sanchez-Flores on November 26, 1979 in Mexico City, Mexico. He was a restaurant business owner, and attended the First Assembly of God Church in De Queen. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, car shows, swimming, helicopter and car collecting, and cherished the time spent with his wife, children, mom, siblings, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Silverstre Flores, Sr.; his grandparents, Bartolo Flores, Belen Espinoza, Nicolas Sanchez, and Agustina Moreno; as well as aunts and uncles.
He was survived by his wife, Aracely Flores of De Queen; his mother, Micaela Sanchez-Flores of Mexico City, Mexico; two sons, Allan Flores of Nashville, and Aaden Flores of Texarkana, Texas; three step-daughters, Ashley Abrego, Judith “his Flaca” Abrego, and Nailea Abrego, all of De Queen; one step-son, Alexander Abrego of De Queen; two sisters, Araceli Flores-Sanchez and her husband Mario Rodriguez of Mexico City, Mexico, and Maria Guadalape Flores-Sanchez and her husband Raymundo Alvarado of Idabel, Oklahoma; one brother, Marco Antonio Flores-Sanchez of Idabel, Oklahoma; as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, January 20, 2018, in the St. Barbara Catholic Church in De Queen. Visitation will begin at 6:00 P.M., Friday, January 19, 2018, until service time Saturday, at the church. Cremation arrangements are under direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen.
(The family would prefer guest wear white clothing in honor of Silvestre to the service. Also, there will be a free reception, at Mary P.O.P.S., beginning at 4pm.)
Mr. John Haury
Mr. John E. Haury, age 51, a resident of De Queen, died Wednesday, January 17, 2019 at his home.
He was born to Tennyson Andrew and Frances Louise Madewell Haury in Watonga, Oklahoma on August 27, 1966. He was an employee of Pilgrim Processing Plant in De Queen, and was a Christian. He enjoyed Facebook, cooking and cherished the time spent with family and friends. John was a man with a very big soft heart. He loved life, loved his family and friends. He fought a long hard battle and finally won. He will be missed by many.
He was preceded in death by his father, a sister Leta Smith, and a special aunt, Margie Payne.
He is survived by his mother, Frances Willis of De Queen, his loving companion, Pedro Robles of De Queen, four brothers and a sister-in-law, Donald Loneman of El Reno, Oklahoma, Christopher, Cecil Haury, and James and Christy Haury all of De Queen, Arkansas, four sisters and a brother-in-law, Reta Mata of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Sara Loneman of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Donna Loneman of De Queen Arkansas, and Evelyn and Jaime Espindola of Haworth, Oklahoma, and a number of nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Jennifer Haury, and a special nephew, Braden Haury, who had a special place in his heart.
Funeral Services for Mr. John Haury will be held at 10:00 A.M., on Saturday, January 20, 2018 in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Redman Cemetery, De Queen, Arkansas. Visitation will be Friday, January 19th from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Chandler Funeral Home.
Nora Sue Parker
Mrs. Nora Sue Crabtree Parker, age 76, a resident of Dierks, Arkansas, died Tuesday, January 16, 2018, at her home.
She was born March 25, 1941 in in Lockesburg, Arkansas. She was retired from Wal-Mart and was a member of the Westside Church of Christ of Dierks.
Mrs. Parker was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Irene Bratcher Crabtree; and her husband, William “Von” Parker.
She is survived by her daughter, Connie Parker of Nash, Texas; and special cousins, Nancy Spence, Kay Crawford, James Bratcher, Helen Williams, Judy Aydelott, Fannie Lockeby, and Billy Livingston; and lots of great friends.
Funeral services for Mrs. Parker will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 19, 2018, in the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel in Dierks with Robert Peek officiating. Burial will follow in the Burg Cemetery.
Viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m. Friday, one hour prior to the service.
