Shelba Delitha "Belle" Clowdis
Mrs. Shelba Delitha “Belle” Clowdis, age 80, a resident of Winthrop, Arkansas, died Friday, October 13, 2017, in Ashdown, Arkansas.
Mrs. Clowdis was born October 31, 1936, in Alleene, Arkansas and was a retired post master at Alleene. She was a member of the Winthrop Baptist Church and the Eastern Star, Chapters Rocky Comfort 371 in Foreman, Arkansas, Jefferson 554 in Ashdown, and the Gillham, Arkansas Chapter.
Mrs. Clowdis was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Marie Stafford Altenbaumer.
She is survived by her husband, James Clowdis; one daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Joe Longacre of Horatio, Arkansas; two granddaughters and their spouses, Kandie and Ethan Gingras of Rockwall, Texas and Devin and Ben Sessions of Dallas, Texas; three great grandchildren, Ellie Gingras, Cal Gingras, and Isaac Sessions; one brother and sister-in-law, Eddie and Darlene Altenbaumer of Alleene; one sister, Vonnie Chewning of Winthrop; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Clowdis will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 16, 2017, at the First Baptist Church in Winthrop with Audie Dawson, Jimmy Dale, and Steve Satterfield officiating. Burial will follow in Campground Cemetery under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 p.m., Sunday, October 15th at the funeral home in De Queen.

William Sanders Truly
Mr. William Sanders Truly, age 85, a resident of Lockesburg, Arkansas died Monday, October 9, 2017, at his home.
He was born March 15, 1932, in Brownwood, Texas. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving during the Korean War. He was a field engineer with General Automation Services and a poultry farmer. He was also a member of the Lighthouse Church, the NRA, and was a Gideon.
Mr. Truly was preceded in death by his parents, William Allingham and Mildred Josephine Etta Sanders Truly; one sister, Linda Kay Truly; and one brother, Robert C. Truly.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred Louise Jester Truly; four daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and Bill Goforth of Lantana, Texas, Jamie and Brian Apple of Houston, Texas, Donna and John Coulter of Lockesburg, and Sandra and Danny Pietens also of Lockesburg; two sons and daughters-in-law, Tony and Becky Harrison of Horatio, Arkansas and Bobby and Mary Ann Harrison of Argyle, Texas; one sister and brother-in-law, Sue and Ronnie Barnard of Moore, Oklahoma; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; a number of nieces, nephews; and his friends and family at the Lighthouse Church and his Gideon family.
Funeral services for Mr. Truly will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 11, 2017, in the Lighthouse Church with Buster Dellinger and Gene Jester officiating. Burial will follow in the Belleville Cemetery under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 10th at the funeral home in De Queen.
Johnnie Lou Follis
Johnnie Lou Follis, age 75, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas, died Friday, October 6, 2017 at her home. She was born to Ross and Susie Jackson Montgomery on July 23, 1942, at Horatio, Arkansas. She was a retired RN, who worked for Wadley Regional Medical Center for 35 years.
She enjoyed eating out, and she cherished the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed casinos.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Billy Ross Montgomery.
She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Deborah and Rodney Cockerham of De Queen, and Michelle Smith of New Boston, Texas, a son and daughter-in-law, Ted and Salvation Labit of Horatio,children and their spouses, Crystal and Nikolaj Morris of Sterlington, Louisiana, Natosha Wilson of De Queen, Chris Chandler of Little Rock, Arkansas, Steven Stevenson of De Queen, Mari Delacerda and Tom Delacerda both of New Boston, Texas, Kinzie Smith of Texarkana, Texas, Lauren Cockerham of Memphis, Tennessee, and Justin Cockerham of Oak Harbor, Washington, fifteen great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Ms. Johnnie Follis will be held at 10:00 A.M., on Monday, October 9, 2017 in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jason Carlton officiating. Burial will follow in the Millwee Cemetery, Horatio, Arkansas, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home. Visitation will be Sunday, October 8th from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. at Chandler Funeral Home.
Mary Linda Riley
Mary Linda Riley from King, Arkansas, age 75, went to her heavenly home on September 30, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband, James “Bud” Riley; her parents, Edwin and Thelma Friday; two brothers, Alvin and Billy Friday; and one special friend, Patricia “Pat” Collins.
She is survived by three sons and one daughter-in-law, David Smith, Scott Smith, and Michael and Rhonda Smith; one brother, Bobby Friday; two sisters-in-law, Irma and Susan Friday; three grandchildren and their spouses, Dustin and Susan Smith, Blake and Megan McAffee, and Martin and Tiffany Shea; five other grandchildren, Ashley, Brandon, Cameron, Seth, and Sarah Smith; three great grandchildren, Harper McAffee, Lily Smith McIntosh, and Walker Shea; and Ms. Kitty, her faithful cat.
Linda was born on September 12, 1942, in Lockesburg, Arkansas. She graduated from Texarkana College in 1981 with a degree in nursing and enjoyed doing this for 38 year’s. Most of all she enjoyed being a mother to her three sons and anyone else that needed a kind loving word.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 5, 2017, in the Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen with Shane Haarmeyer officiating. Burial will follow at Redmen Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 4th from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
Garry Cortez Turner
Mr. Garry Cortez Turner, age 65, a resident of Dierks, Arkansas died Saturday, September 30, 2017, in Nashville, Arkansas.
He was born October 7, 1951, in Holly Grove, Arkansas. He was a logger and a truck driver. He enjoyed hunting, running dogs, spending time with his grandkids, and watching them play ball.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Toy Cortez and Wincel Johnson Turner; his grandparents, Les and Inez Johnson and Cecil and Violet Turner; and two brothers, Thomas “Tinker” Reed and Wayne Turner.
He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, April and Jeremy Kappus and Kaci and Chase Quinn all of Dierks; five grandchildren, Blayn Turner, Kayden Turner, Talon Kappus, Karsyn Marshall, and Conner Quinn; one sister, Judy Marshall of Salem, Virginia; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 3, 2017, in the Greens Chapel Cemetery with Charlie Reel officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Monday, October 2nd at the funeral home in Dierks.
Mrs. Ester Benefield
Mrs. Esther Fern Lambeth Benefield, age 88, a resident of Mena, and former resident of De Queen, died Sunday, September 24, 2017 in the Bear Creek Healthcare, De Queen.
She was born to Wallace R and Bernice Stewart Lambeth on July 10, 1929. She was a member of the Beacon Hill Seventh Day Adventist Church, and a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, her flowers, bird watching, and she cherished her family,
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Roy Wayne and Debbie Benefield of Spokane, Washington, a daughter and son-in-law, Marcie and Kenny Mann of Mena, Arkansas, six grandchildren and their spouses, Kevin and Michelle Benefield of Allons, Tennessee, Leslie and Olfa Lambeth of Puerto Rico, Misty Miley of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Roy Benefield, Jr., Jody and Tina Benefield all of Spokane, Washington, and Lori and and Shawn Ramslan of Coeur D Alene, Idaho, seventeen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Kenny Davis of De Queen, and a number of nieces and nephews, other family members and a host of friends.

Mrs. Leona Grinage
Mrs. Leona Cooper Grinage, age 94, a resident of Haworth, Oklahoma, died Saturday, September 30, 2017, in Retreat at Kenwood, Texarkana, Texas. She was born on September 4, 1923 in Cerro Gordo, Oklahoma, and was a homemaker. She was a lifelong member of the State Line Baptist Church. Leona enjoyed fishing and watching birds, especially humming birds. She was an avid basketball fan. Leona played basketball all her years at Haworth, and made it to the state championship her senior year. Even in her sixties, Leona still had a basketball goal in her back yard, where she would play and give her grandchildren tips to be better players.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, Lottie Cooper, Lorene Davis, Elmer Cooper, Don Cooper, and Lonnie Cooper, and May of 1991, her beloved husband, Lewis Harold Grinage, as well as, her daughter-in-law, Phyllis Grinage.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Dwight and Saundra Grinage of Texarkana, Texas, and Terry and Betty Grinage of Texarkana, Arkansas, nine grandchildren and their spouses, Andy and Cheryl Flood of Redwater, Texas, Keith and Naomi Grinage of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Adam Grinage and his partner Jason Barnett of Lewisville, Texas, Marcy and Bert Bloomfield of Texarkana, Texas, Mindy and Brian Gennings of Texarkana, Arkansas, Frankie and Ron Mills of De Queen, Arkansas, Rowdy and Shirley Horner of Genoa, Arkansas, Shelly Roberts of Texarkana, Texas, and Beth and Glenn Lummus of Texarkana, Arkansas, and a number of nieces and nephews.
