Annie Lorene Wilson Poag
Annie Lorene Wilson Poag, 87, a resident of De Queen, died Friday, May 5, 2017 at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville, Arkansas.
She was born April 3, 1930 in Williamson Community. She was a homemaker and co-owner of Poag Lumber Company in Dierks. Mrs. Poag was a member of First Baptist Church in De Queen, the Order of the Eastern Star, Daughters of the American Revolution and the Good Sam’s. She loved spending time with family and friends, her church, camping and cheering for the Arkansas Razorbacks.
Mrs. Poag was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Loy Poag; her parents, M.T. Wilson and Sallie Stringfellow Wilson; three brothers, Elmer, Mickey and L.D.; one sister, Ruby Carpenter; and one granddaughter, Emily McKellar.
She is survived by two daughters and son-in-law’s, Sandra and Bobby Miller of Lockesburg and Donna and Tony McKellar of Rogers, Arkansas; five grandchildren, Amy Miller of Texarkana, Rob Miller of Lockesburg, Elizabeth McKellar of Columbus, Ohio, Katherine and Jake Rooney and Nicole McKellar of Rogers, Arkansas; three great-grandchildren, Ashley and Ricky Trotter of Lockesburg, Allie Trotter of De Queen, two great-great grandchildren, Kaden and Gunner of Lockesburg; one sister and brother-in-law, Corine and Dalie Hooker of Sheridan, Arkansas; one sister-in-law, Sue Wilson of De Queen; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Poag will be held at 2 PM, Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen, officiated by Roy Conaster. Burial will follow at Redmen Cemetery in De Queen, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 PM, Tuesday, May 9th at Wilkerson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Marylan Dutton
Mrs. Marylan Ann Bowen Dutton, age 77, a resident of De Queen, died Thursday, May 4, 2017 at the home of her daughter in Conway, Arkansas.
She was born October 22, 1939 in Lindsay, Oklahoma, to Carl W. and Anna Mann Bowen. She was a homemaker, and enjoyed yard work, being outside, bird watching, drawing, and painting, as well as an avid reader.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, Dorothy Johnson, and Jess Bowen, and her husband of over 44 years, Samuel W. “Sam” Dutton.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Dave W. and Netra Dutton of Texarkana, Arkansas, a daughter and son-in-law, Larenda J. and John Donovan of Conway, Arkansas, five grandchildren, Tiffany M. Donovan, Billy Donovan, Donny Donovan, Mandy Perry, and Lee Perry, two great-grandchildren, Madison Harper, and Daily Donovan. She is also survived by two brothers and sisters-in-law, Larry and Pat Bowen of Norman, Oklahoma, and Charles and Pat Bowen of Dibble, Oklahoma, as well as a number of nieces, nephews, and host of friends.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Marylan Dutton will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, May 8, 2017 in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Mt. Ida Cemetery, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home. Visitation will be Sunday, May 7th from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.
Bethany Jo Scarbrough Wester
Bethany Jo Scarbrough Wester, age 43, of Mena, died Tuesday, April 25, 2017 near Cove. She was born on Sunday, November 4, 1973 to James Allen and Carrie Kathleen O'Brien Scarbrough in Toppenish, Washington.
Bethany loved her children and her family and spending time with them. She enjoyed reading, camping and listening to country music. Bethany worked for Elite Home Health in Nashville with Community Based Services. Bethany was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend and will be missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her son, Reilly Scarbrough; her daughter, Acelynn Wester; her uncle, Steven Payne and aunt, Virginia Harmon.
Bethany is survived by her parents, James and Carrie Scarbrough of Mena; her husband, Michael Wester of Pine Bluff; three brothers, David Scarbrough of Edinburg, Texas, Jimmy O'Brien and Charlie O'Brien Scarbrough of Washington; two sisters, Korrie Scarbrough of Mena and Rebecca Scarbrough of Mena; maternal grandmother, Joyce Alexander of Moxee, Washington; great aunt, Thelma Hensley of Mena; aunts and uncles, Opal Duffield of Moxee, Washington, Colleen Gorden, Kellie Yancey, Linda O'Brien all of Moxie, Washington and Bonnie Siggette of Reno Nevada; nieces and nephews, Sarah Broach and husband, Jay, Amanda Tolbert, Abby Tolbert, Alexis Tolbert, Katherine Scarbrough, Jaslene Scarbrough, Brandie Tolbert, Sabrina Moore, Anthony Scarbrough, John Tolbert, Dominic Scarbrough, Andrew O'Brien, Paul O'Brien and Nathan O'Brien; one great niece, Aiyanna Broach, and a host of other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held Friday, May 5, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at the Christian Motorcycle Association on Iron Mountain with Brother Justin Leonard and Bobby Tatum officiating. Interment will follow the Six Mile Cemetery in Hatfield under the direction of Bowser Family Funeral Home in Mena, Arkansas. No Visitation is planned.
Acelynn Carrie Wester
Acelynn Carrie Wester, age 2, of Mena, died Tuesday, April 25, 2017 near Cove. She was born on March 3, 2015 to Michael Joseph Wester and Bethany Jo Scarbrough in Mena, Arkansas.
Acelynn loved playing with her baby dolls. She enjoyed playing with her brother Reilly and cousins. Acelynn was a loving daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, and friend and will be missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Bethany Jo Scarbrough Wester and brother, Reilly Scarbrough.
Acelynn is survived by her father, Michael Wester of Horatio; paternal grandmother, Stella Pitts of DeQueen; maternal grandparents, James and Carrie Scarbrough of Mena; maternal great grandmother, Joyce Alexander of Moxee, Washington; two brothers, Jonathan Wester of Horatio, and Afton Wester of Horatio; four sisters, Brittany Wester of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Taylor Smith of Baytown, Texas, Harley Wester of Horatio, and Shaylee Ruth of Quitman, Arkansas; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Reilly James Scarbrough
Reilly James Scarbrough, age 9, of Mena, died Thursday, April 27, 2017 near Hatfield. He was born on May 19, 2007 to Bethany Jo Scarbrough in Reno, Nevada.
Reilly attended the Holly Harshman Elementary in Mena where he excelled as a student in the 4th grade. Reilly love playing his video games and was well on his way to becoming a great gamer. He enjoyed playing sports, cub scouts and riding his bike. Reilly was a loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, and friend and will be missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Bethany Jo Scarbrough Wester and baby sister, Acelynn Wester.

Timothy "Timmy" Kevin Simmons
Mr. Timothy “Timmy” Kevin Simmons, age 57, a resident of Lockesburg, Arkansas, died Sunday, April 30, 2017, at his home.
He was born October 26, 1959 at De Queen, Arkansas. He was a diesel mechanic and he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Mr. Simmons was preceded in death by his parents, Harless Thelma and Ottie Vermease Cook Simmons.
He is survived by his wife, Sheila Webb Simmons; two daughters and a son-in-law, Brandi and Logan Arter of Lockesburg and Natasha Simmons of Hooks, Texas; one stepdaughter, Lisa Simmons of Lockesburg; one brother and sister-in-law, Johnny and Anita Simmons of Lockesburg; four grandchildren, Kevin and Alainna Arter, Justtes Latimer and Hope Bayless; niece and nephew, John and Dana Simmons of Lockesburg and special friends, Valerie and Randy Johnson.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at the Oddfellows Cemetery in Lockesburg with Bro. Wesley Blankenship officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday May 2nd at the funeral home.
Mr. John Thomas "Tommy" Moore
Mr. John Thomas “Tommy” Moore, age 75, a resident of De Queen, died Saturday, April 29, 2017 in Dierks, Arkansas.
He was born to Pervin B and Pauline Smith Moore in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on August 15, 1941. He was retired from Pilgrim’s Pride, where he was a security guard, and a rancher. He enjoyed gardening, work, yard work, cattle, and he cherished the time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his dad, Leo Vickers, a brother, Kenneth Moore, and a granddaughter, J. K. Nealy Hornsby.
He is survived by his wife of over 49 years, Judy Godwin Moore of De Queen, a son and daughter-in-law, Tracy and Patti Nealy of De Queen, three daughters, and sons-in-law, Carla and Jeff Wahls of De Queen, Melody and Rick Halter of Fayetteville, Ark., and Lisa and Mitch Evans of Monroeville, Alabama, ten grandchildren, Nikki, Madelyn, Kendyl, Ellye, Cole, Katy, Jill, Josh, Julie, and Hannah; five great-grandchildren, Kylaa, Chanli, Avery, Evan, and Emma, one brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Lana Jo Vickers of De Queen, one sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Wayne Gentry of De Queen, and a number of nieces, nephews, other family members and a host of friends.
