Mrs. Billie Rogers Candler
Mrs. Billie Rogers Candler, age 83, a resident of Lockesburg, Arkansas, died April 17, 2017 in the Wadley Regional medical Center, Texarkana.
She was born on November 3, 1933 in Ben Lomond, Arkansas. She worked as a paralegal for a law firm in San Francisco. She was a member of the New Bethel Baptist church in San Francisco, California. She enjoyed listening to music, watching movies, and visiting with family an friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Jessie C. Nelson, her siblings, Gene Autry Nelson, Harvey Lee Nelson, and Lewis Elvin Nelson, and in 2012 her husband, Lawrence Candler.
She is survived by a sister, Norma Lewis of Lockesburg, three brothers, Roy Dell Nelson of Ashdown, Charles Nelson of Charleston, South Carolina, Cleveland Nelson of Dallas, Texas.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Billie Rogers Candler will be held on Saturday, April 22nd at 1:00 P.M., in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel, De Queen, with Rev. Roy Dell Nelson officiating.
Garel Lee "Mac" McKiever
Garel Lee "Mac" McKiever 69 of Monticello, AR passed from this life Friday, April 14, 2017 at Christus St Michaels Medical Center in Texarkana TX. He was born June 19, 1947 in Drew County Arkansas.
He was the middle son of D.L. & Ancy Mae (Burch) McKiever. He was partners in the family business McKiever Packing Company which operated with his parents and two brothers for 60 plus years and is still in operation. Garel affectionately known as "Pop Mac" was an avid cattleman and loved attending many weekly auctions and Registered Angus Specialty sells. His greatest joy was attending rodeos and various athletic competitions his children and grandchildren were involved in, he was always cheering and encouraging loud as possible. Mac was a 1965 Graduate of Drew Central Schools, he received his Bachelors of Science Degree in Agricultural Business class of 1970 at Arkansas A&M currently known as The University of Arkansas @ Monticello, and was a member of the Theta XI Fraternity. He is a long time member of Prairie Grove Baptist church and on January 15, 2017 he rededicated his life at Mountain View Baptist Church where he enjoyed attending with his very special friend Carolyn.
Garel was proceeded in death by his loving wife of 30 years Betty Wylie McKiever, his parents D.L. & Ancy Mae (Burch) McKiever and a grandson McKiever Lee Burchett. He is survived by a son Bret Lee McKiever (Alidya) of Lockesburg AR., a daughter Stacy Lee McKiever Janes (Brandon) of DeQueen; two brothers, Donald McKiever and wife Tona of Monticello and Dale (Bimbo) McKiever of the Prairie Grove community; 6 grandchildren Breannah Linely, Mayson McKiever, Carson McKiever, Tori Janes, Braylee Janes, & Bryndle Janes. He also leaves behind a very special and caring companion Carolyn McKinney and her children and grandchildren who held a very special place in his heart.

Marietta Evans Humphrey
Marietta Evans Humphrey, age 77, a resident of Foreman, Arkansas, died Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at her home.
She was born May 15, 1939 in Winthrop, Arkansas. She was a 1957 graduate of Winthrop High School. She was a homemaker, retired from Little River Housing Authority, and a member of the King Ryder Church of Christ. She was also dedicated to the Winthrop School Restoration.
Mrs. Humphrey was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Lona Ball Evans; her husband, Thomas J. Humphrey; one son, Terrence Humphrey; and four brothers, Clarence Evans, George Dayton Evans, Merle Evans, and Joyce Lynn Evans.
She is survived by one son, Orville Humphrey; two grandsons, Brandon and wife Nicki Humphrey and Tyler Humphrey; one granddaughter and her husband, Erica and Chris Tucker; four great grandchildren, Preston Johnson, Cathy Johnson, Mari Jean Humphrey, and Havan Tucker; one daughter-in-law, Debbie Humphrey Cowley; one sister, Leeona Overturf; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Humphrey will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Pauley Cemetery Pavilion with Scotty Smith officiating under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.

Barbara Jane Brackett Friday
Mrs. Barbara Jane Brackett Friday, age 78, a resident of Lockesburg, Arkansas, died Wednesday, April 12, 2017 in Texarkana, Texas.
She was born September 15, 1938 in Lockesburg. She was a homemaker and a member of the Lockesburg First Baptist Church.
Mrs. Friday was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Elmo and Floy Summerhill Brackett.
She is survived by her husband, Joe “Bobby” Friday of Lockesburg; her children and their spouses, Joey and Susan Friday, Gay and Tracy Vaughan and Charles and Jamie Friday all of Texarkana, Texas; six grandchildren, Joshua Friday, Micah Friday and wife Liz, Jayme Vaughan, Stephen Vaughan, Bailey Vaughan and Lauren Friday; two great-grandchildren, Ava and Shep Friday; one brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Brenda Brackett of Lockesburg; one sister and brother-in-law, Charlene and Lonnie Revels of Hico, Texas and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Friday will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 15, 2017, in the Lockesburg First Baptist Church with Dr. Ronnie Mayes officiating. Burial will follow in the Belleville Cemetery, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.

James Harold Stinnett
Mr. James Harold Stinnett, age 82, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas, died Monday, April 10, 2017 in Texarkana, Texas.
He was born May 16, 1934, in De Queen. He was a conductor for D&E Railroad, a member of Memorial Missionary Baptist Church. Harold was known as Papaw to his grandkids and great-grandkids who he loved spending time with. He also enjoyed square dancing, camping and “noodle” fishing with his friends.
Mr. Stinnett was preceded in death by his parents, John Oscar and LeVenia McCauley Stinnett; his wife, Millie Ann Emerson Stinnett and two brothers, Carl Stinnett and Donald Stinnett.
He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Danny Bennett of Texarkana, Arkansas; one son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Jimna Stinnett of De Queen; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Joy Tanner of Russellville, Arkansas, Sue and Dean Tollett of Lockesburg, Arkansas and Kathleen Miller of Horatio, Arkansas; five grandchildren, Stephanie Chickadel and husband Ernie, Craig Bennett, Brittany Satterfield and husband Matt, Kenzie Seal and husband Daniel and Camryn Mitchell and husband Eric; eight great-grandchildren, Stephen, Madison and Emma Chickadel, Genevieve and Mason Satterfield, Grady and Hayleigh Seal and Emmett Mitchell. Funeral services for Mr. Stinnett will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 13, 2017, in the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jason Carlton officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Ida Cemetery.

Mr. Raymond Lee Shelton
Mr. Raymond Lee Shelton, age 85, a resident of Foreman, Arkansas, died Sunday, April 9, 2017 at his home.
He was born December 20, 1931, in Alleene, Arkansas. He was a heavy equipment operator at Domtar in Ashdown, Arkansas, was a member of First Baptist Church in Winthrop, Arkansas, and a Mason. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
Mr. Shelton was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Ivy Shields Shelton; his wife, Stella Mae Keeney Shelton; two sisters, Audrey Reed and Martha Combs and four brothers, Cecil Shelton, Thomas Johnson, Ovington “Red” Johnson and Everett Johnson.
He is survived by one daughter, Verdie Louise Shelton of Foreman; one sister, Dorothy Johnson of Baytown, Texas and a number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services with Masonic Rites for Mr. Shelton will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 13, 2017, in the Alleene Cemetery pavilion with Rev. Audie Dawson officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.

Chelsea Ann Richardson
Chelsea Ann Richardson, age 25, a resident of Crossett, Arkansas, and former resident of Horatio, Arkansas, died Tuesday, April 4, 2017 in Crossett.
She was born to Ray Lynn and Jane Ann Callahan Richardson in De Queen, Arkansas, on October 1, 1991. She is a graduate of Horatio High School and had received her BA degree from UALR. She was the softball coach at Crossett Public Schools, as well as a Special Education Teacher. She was a member of the Williamson Community Church, and enjoyed reading, sports, fishing, and hunting. Most of all, she cherished the time spent with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, George and Ruth Richardson, and Fred P. Callahan.
She is survived by her mother, Jane Richardson of Woodland Hills, California, her father, Ray Richardson of Horatio, four brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert and Kristy Richardson of Horatio, Jason and Linda Richardson of Taylor, Arkansas, Josh Callahan and Dustin Richardson both of Horatio, her grandmother, Bette Davidson of Horatio, seven nieces and nephews, Lexy Richardson, Kimberly Richardson Amy Richardson, Haylie Richardson, Mason Richardson, Lillian Callahan, and Rayden Richardson, as well as aunts, uncles, cousin, and a host of friends.
Funeral Services for Chelsea Richardson will be held Monday, April 10, 2017 at 2:00 P.M., in the First Baptist Church of Horatio with Bro. Jimmy Roden officiating. Burial will follow in the Horatio Cemetery, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home. Visitation will be Sunday, April 9, 2017 from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. at Chandler Funeral Home.
