Keith Reese Gilbert

Mr. Keith Reese Gilbert, age 85, a resident of Greens Chapel, Arkansas, died Thursday, April 6, 2017, Texarkana, Texas.

He was born September 30, 1931, in the Green’s Chapel Community near Dierks. Mr. Gilbert was a school administrator, a U.S. Army veteran, a Gideon and a rancher. He also served on several corporate and nonprofit boards and was a member of Dierks United Methodist Church.

Mr. Gilbert was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Jennie Graves Gilbert.

He is survived by his wife, Ann Vancil Gilbert; one daughter and son-in-law, Sonya and Terry Miller of De Queen, Arkansas; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Van and Jo Gilbert of Katy, Texas, Ben Gilbert of Little Rock, Arkansas and Steven and Anna Gilbert of Marysville, Arkansas; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mr. Gilbert will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, April 8, 2017, in Dierks United Methodist Church with Rev. Carroll Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in Greens Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in Dierks.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Friday, April 7th at the funeral home in Dierks.

Susan Leann (Fausett) Gore

Susan Leann Gore, age 46 of Cabot, AR, passed from this life on Thursday, March 30, 2017.

She graduated from Lonoke High School in 1988 and from the UCA and the UAMS with her Bachelor of Science.

She worked as a Registered Respiratory Therapist at Arkansas Children's Hospital for over 23 years and primarily worked in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. She loved working with the babies.

She was born on June 23, 1970, in Little Rock, AR, to the late Bobby Joe and Bertha Lee Fausett. She was a loving mother, sister, and aunt whom will be greatly missed by all.

She was preceded in death by her parents, maternal grandparents, Ardell B and Manuel Decker, and paternal grandparents, Hattie Lee and Robert ''Bob'' Alexander Fausett, and her great-aunt, Florence Crossno, also known as ''Aunt Tiny."

Leann leaves behind her daughter, Sarah Paige Gore, of Cabot. She was best friend to her ex-Husband, Stacy Don Gore. A loving daughter to parents-in-laws, Hope and Don Gore, and a loving sister-in-Law to Lynette Gore. Remembered by her brother-in-Law Vernon Lamb, husband of the late Donna Gore, and their daughter Jamey Diane. She will be missed by her brother, Mike Fausett and his ex-wife Retha, and their children, nephew, Jonathon Fausett, his wife Michelle, and their daughter C.J., her other nephew, Bobby Fausett and his wife Rachel, and their daughter Bay, and her niece, Kristal Fausett - Reveley and her children Christian, Christopher, and Brian. Loved by her aunt and best friend, Georgia Ann Teal and her husband Robert, and their son David Aaron Teal, from Atlanta, as well as her uncle, Billy Owen Fausett and his children Billy Ray and Penny.

Visitation will be Wednesday, April 5, from 6-9 pm, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, 8th Avenue, in Conway, AR. Funeral service will be Thursday, April 6, at 10 am. Graveside service will follow, at Siloam Cemetery in Enola, AR. Pallbearers will be David Aaron Teal, Chris Curtis, Jonathon Fausett, Bobby Fausett, David Stratton, Greg Jones, Mike Moore, Jason Harrison. Honorary Pallbearers – Christian Roe, Chad Day.

Jack Thurston Bowden

Jack Thurston Bowden, age 77, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas, died Sunday, April 2, 2017 in Wadley Regional Medical Center in Texarkana, Texas.

He was born April 18, 1939 in Bates, Arkansas. He was a carpenter and home builder.

Mr. Bowden was preceded in death by his parents, Glenis and Edith Robbins Bowden; two brothers, Jim Bowden and Bob Bowden and one sister, Loretta Rowe.

He is survived by his wife, Darlene Goforth Bowden; one son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Trini Bowden of De Queen; one daughter, Brenda Wedehase and companion, Vernon Parks of Holly Beach, LA; one sister, Judy Wilker of Reedley, CA; one grandson, Patrick Wedehase and wife, Amy and one great-grandson, Logan Wedehase all of De Queen; one sister-in-law, Arlene Goforth of Visalia, CA; and a number of nieces and nephews.

No service is scheduled at this time. Cremation arrangements by Wilkerson Funeral Home.

Shirley Ann Gore

Mrs. Shirley Ann Hosch Gore, age 78, a resident of Horatio, Arkansas, died Friday, March 24, 2017, in Texarkana, Texas.

She was born March 14, 1939, in Tyler, Texas. She was a homemaker, cake decorator, florist and a member of the Williamson Community Church.

Mrs. Gore was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Marline Hallmark Hosch and her husband, Kern Pat Gore who passed away October 28, 2016.

She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Clifford Pat and Joyce Gore of Ashdown, Arkansas, Douglas Kern and Lalisa Gore, and Curtis Allen and Robin Gore all of Horatio; two sisters, Candy Wilson and Tammy Cox both of Tyler, Texas; ten grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Williamson Community Church with Bro. Jimmy Roden officiating.

Bobby Joe Pressley

Mr. Bobby Joe Pressley, age 63, a resident of Eagletown, Oklahoma, died Saturday, March 25, 2017, at his home.

He was born in De Queen, Arkansas, on May 23, 1953. He was truck driver
and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his father, Alvie Pressley, a brother, Roger Pressley, his step-father, Luther Sanders, and his wife, Betty Pressley.

He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Scotty Joe and Leslie Pressley of Murfreesboro, Tenn., and Bobby and Robin Murray of Madisonville, Kentucky, three daughters and sons-in-law, Mandy Jo and Brian Mahan of Longview, Texas, Dawn and Joe Stepp of Waverly, Tennessee, and Debra Gant of Erin, Tennessee, his mother, Barbara Ann Sanders of De Queen, his step-mother, Verlon Pressley of De Queen, a brother and sister-in-law, Joel Glen and Tammy Sanders of Lockesburg, a sister and brother-in-law, Patty and David Bradshaw of De Queen, fourteen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Graveside memorial services for Mr. Bobby Joe Pressley will be held at 10:00 A. M., Friday, April 7, 2017 in the West Otis Cemetery, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen.

Mary Frances Fielden

Mary Frances Sharp Fielden, former resident of De Queen and Lockesburg, AR, passed away in Stillwater, OK on March 23, 2017.

Mary was born on December 18, 1922 to Ethel Knox Sharp and Jesse B. Sharp in Lockesburg where she spent her early years playing at the home of her grandparents, Wm Eldridge and Ida Sutton Sharp Family Peach Farm. She graduated from Southeastern State College in Durant and began a long career as a public school elementary teacher in Pasadena, TX and then in Eagletown, OK.

Mary was committed to her family, passionate about teaching first graders, fond of working among her flowers, and spent many years caring for her elderly mother and aunt. She was a treasure trove of family history which she shared with her cousins. She especially enjoyed attending Homecoming at the Belleville Methodist Church and Cemetery, Lockesburg, where her parents, brother, 10 grandparents, and more than 40 other kin are laid to rest.

During WWII, Mary moved with her family to Chula Vista, CA to work at the Rohr Aircraft Company where she worked as a secretary and her mother worked as a “Rosie the Riveter.” Mary married Lewis Carroll Fielden in Cambridge, MA on May 13, 1944.

She is survived by twin daughters Carolyn Archbold, DeRidder, LA and Marilyn Moore, Austin, TX. Grandchildren are James Pittman, De Queen, Dr. Jeffrey Martindale, Stillwater, OK; Jonathan Martindale, Austin, Roy Archbold, Gulf Port and Christi Archbold, Gulf Port and four great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at Belleville Methodist Church on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at 2:30 p.m. Burial will follow in the Belleville Cemetery, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.

Terry Richard Wynne

Mr. Terry Richard Wynne, age 65, a resident of Gillham, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, March 25, 2017 in Little Rock, Arkansas.

He was born August 20, 1951 in Eugene, Oregon. He was a graduate of Wickes High School and was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He was also an auto mechanic, an auto body repairman, and a sign painter. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and rebuilding vehicles.

Mr. Wynne was preceded in death by his father, Richard Wynne and two brothers, Perry and Donald Wynne.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Deborah June Key Wynne; his mother, Patricia Arthur Wynne of Fayetteville, Arkansas; two sisters, Sherry Young of Fayetteville and Judy Sandvoal of Fresno, California; and several nieces, nephews, and other family.

A Graveside Funeral Service for Mr. Wynne will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 1, 2017 in the Chapel Hill Cemetery under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.
