Randy Lynn Lindsey
Randy Lynn Lindsey, age 64, of Horatio, Arkansas, died Monday, January 23rd, in a Little Rock Hospital.
Randy was born September 2, 1952 in Ashdown Arkansas to Tommy Ray and Bettye Jewell Crawford Lindsey. He was the retired Owner of Lindsey Automotive and Communications and was a retired Fire Chief in Horatio. He was a member of the Horatio First Baptist Church and had been a dedicated member of Belleville Masonic Lodge #35 for more than 25 years. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Oliver Lindsey of Horatio, Arkansas; two sons and daughters-in-law: Jamey and Renda Lindsey and Robby and Courtney Ray, all of Horatio, Arkansas; a daughter and son-in-law; Charissa and Richard Van Voast of Horatio Arkansas; a sister and brother-in-law: Doyletta and Wayne Harder of Horatio, Arkansas; seven Grandchildren: Morgyn Lindsey, Wyatt Lindsey, Raylee Van Voast, Judson Ray, Caselyn Van Voast, Ellie Ray and Kady Ray; and a number of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Randy Lindsey will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, January 26, 2017 at Horatio First Baptist Church with Coy Arnold and Rev. Jerry Hill officiating. Burial will follow in Horatio Cemetery under the direction of the Chandler Funeral Home of De Queen, Arkansas.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 25, 2017 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
Ileen Addeline Smith Dossett
Mrs. Ileen Addeline Smith Dossett, age 85, passed away Sunday, January 22, 2017, at her home in De Queen.
She was born in Lockesburg, Arkansas, on February 8, 1931. She was a Registered Nurse who loved sewing, gardening, flowers, canning and painting. She was a member of Rose Hill Baptist Church and Eastern Star.
Mrs. Dossett was preceded in death by her husband, Manuel Dossett; her parents, Beulah and Edgar Smith; her brothers, Marvin and Harold Smith and granddaughter, Meagan Vay Dossett.
Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Marcia and Spencer O’Connor, Lenora and Ron Hoff and Ramona and Mark Scaggs and special daughter, Evelyn Scaggs; three sons and daughters-in-law, Eddie and Cindy Rynders, John and Renita Dossett and Todd and Diana Dossett; grandchildren, Alicia Loman, Carly Stinnett, Dara Schwarz, Manuel Caleb Dossett, Charlie and James Farley and Douglas Rynders; great-grandchildren, Tanner, Colton and Casey Loman, Devon and Ethan Stinnett, Sydnei Sams, Andrew, Rayleigh, Jenna, Aubrey and Lane Farley and Bryson Hoff.
Funeral services for Mrs. Dossett will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, January 26, 2017, in Rose Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Smallwood officiating. Burial will follow in the Campground Cemetery, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.

Charles "Pete" Edward Pierce, Jr.
Mr. Charles "Pete" Edward Pierce, Jr., age 49, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas died Saturday, January 21, 2017, at his home.
He was born on February 24, 1967 in Clewiston, Florida. He was an automobile technician, car dealer, and loved collecting gums. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and his dog, Rosco. He also loved helping people whenever he could.
Mr. Pierce was preceded in death by his father, Charles Edward Pierce, Sr. and his step father, Bub Dossett.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Crystal and Luke Somero of de Queen; his mother, Karen pierce Dossett also of De Queen; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Randy and Kelley Pierce of St. Peters, Missouri and Roger and Scena Pierce of Nashville, Arkansas.
Funeral services for Mr. Pierce will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, January 26, 2017 in the Wilkerson funeral Home Chapel. Cremation will follow.
Rhesa Joanna Kesterson
Mrs. Rhesa Joanna Kesterson, age 75, a resident of Dierks, Arkansas, died Saturday, January 21, 2017, in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
She was born May 6, 1941, in Polk County, Arkansas. She was a homemaker and a faithful member of Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church.
Mrs. Kesterson was preceded in death by her parents, Hiram Daniel and Rhoda Crump.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Daniel Kesterson; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Barbara Christopher of Norman, Arkansas; Lisa and John Jones of Dierks, and Carol and David Duggan also of Dierks; one son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Misty Kesterson of Ozark, Arkansas; two brothers, Ruben and Hiram Crump; one sister, Susan Sherwood; eight grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Kesterson will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 24, 2017, at Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church with J.W. Gilbert and George Crump officiating. Burial will follow at the Old Liberty Cemetery under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Monday, January 23rd at the funeral home in Dierks, Arkansas.
Larry Charles Hall
Mr. Larry Charles Hall, age 71, a resident of Gillham, Arkansas, died Friday, January 20, 2017, in Christus St. Michael Health System in Texarkana, Texas.
He was born November 13, 1945 in De Queen. He was an electrician, a Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army. He served in Vietnam, Desert Storm and in the Army Reserves.
Mr. Hall was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Browning; his sister, Kathryn Short ; his late wife, Karol Hall and two brothers, Rodger and Joe Rightmire.
He is survived by his wife, Dana Tracy Culp Hall; two daughters and sons-in-law, Anita Carol and Jason Caudle of Horatio and Kelli and Dan Stasik of Gillham; three sons and daughters-in-law, Richard Thomas and Karen Hall, Charles Lee and Kristy Hall and David Christopher and Tesa Hall all of Gillham; two step-sons, Dillon Ryan Higgins of Gillham and Matthew J.C. Higgins of De Queen; one brother-in-law, Thomas Short of De Queen; his brothers in Black Bandits; 17 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services for Mr. Hall will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 23, 2017, in the Millcreek Cemetery with Wes Tudor officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.
The family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00 p.m., Sunday, January 22nd at the funeral home.
Lawrence Ray Chandler
Lawrence Ray Chandler, age 70, a lifelong resident of De Queen, Arkansas, passed from this life, Saturday, January 21, 2017, in De Queen.
Lawrence was born August 2, 1946 in Sentinel, Oklahoma. He was the youngest of nine, born to Frankie Gene and Lona Lee Griggs Chandler. He married the love of his life, Marian Joyce Penney, on November 24, 1965. In 1968, Lawrence graduated from the Dallas Institute of Mortuary Science; and has since, dedicated his life to serving his community as a funeral director, and for countless years, as county coroner. Breaking ground in 1998, along with his wife Marian, Lawrence became the proud owner and founder of Chandler Funeral Home. Over the years, Lawrence has been an active member of the Arkansas Cattlemen’s Association, Gideon’s International, the Arkansas Funeral Director’s Association, and the National Funeral Director’s Association. He was a member of Memorial Missionary Baptist Church in De Queen.
He was preceded in death by an infant son, Jeffrey Chandler, his parents, three brothers, Randall Eugene Chandler, Franklin Chandler, and Dub Chandler, four sisters, Grace Settoon, Ruth Dorsey, Becky Alice Allen and Lois Wray.
Lawrence is survived by his wife of over 51 years, Marian Penney Chandler of De Queen; a daughter, Stephanie Kaye Chandler-Wishard of De Queen; two grandchildren, Lawrence Allen Wishard and Andrea Nichole Wishard, both of De Queen; a great granddaughter, Khloé Grace Wishard of De Queen; a brother and sister-in-law, Noel Duane and Sandy Chandler of Brenham, Texas; three sisters-in-law, Linda Ann Brazile of Amarillo, Texas, Jane Chandler of Horatio, Arkansas and Carol Chandler of De Queen; a number of nieces, nephews, other family members, and a host of friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Lawrence Chandler, will be held, Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jason Carlton officiating. Burial will follow in Redmen Cemetery under the direction of the Chandler Funeral Home of De Queen. The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 24, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

Mr. Ricky Dwayne Flournoy
Mr. Ricky Dwayne Flournoy, age 64, a resident of Horatio, Arkansas, died Friday, January 20, 2017, at his home.
He was born January 13, 1953 in De Queen, Arkansas. He worked for the Sevier County Road Department and was a member of the Gospel Jubilee Church in Lockesburg.
Mr. Flournoy was preceded in death by his parents, Edd C. and Georgia Hohmann Flournoy and one brother, Eddie Flournoy.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Cusher Flournoy; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Bradley and Deanna Flournoy of Texarkana, Texas and Daniel J. Flournoy of Horatio; one daughter, Teresa Johnson Wise of Grannis; one brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Sherri Flournoy of Wickes; eight grandchildren, Emily, Abbie and Parker Flournoy, Blake, Bailey and Braxton Wise, Chase Johnson and Daniel J. Flournoy and a number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services for Mr. Flournoy will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 24, 2017, in the Mt. Ida Cemetery with Stuart Miller officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.
