Gregory Allen Brasel
Gregory Allen Brasel, age 50, a resident of Dierks, Arkansas, died Wednesday, January 18, 2017, in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
He was born January 25, 1966, in Harrison, Arkansas. He was a retired electrician with Rich Mountain Electric Company.
Mr. Brasel was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny Waymon Brasel and Buna Faye Ramsey.
He is survived by one daughter, KayLynn Sue Brasel of Dierks; one brother, Joey Waymon Brasel of Jasper, Arkansas; one sister, Donna Lee Brasel Gunnoe of Front Royal, Virginia; three nieces; one great niece; and a number of friends and loved ones.
Graveside funeral services for Mr. Brasel will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 22, 2017, at the Union Hill Cemetery in Jasper with Scott Vaughn officiating under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 p.m., Saturday, January 21st at the funeral home in Dierks, Arkansas.
Jimna Love Craig
Jimna Love Craig, age 81, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas, died Wednesday, January 18, 2017, at her home.
She was born May 9, 1935, in Wright City, Oklahoma. She was a retired special education teacher who taught for 42 years and was a member of the First Christian Church.
Jimna was preceded in death by her mother, Bennie Lee Norwood Cooper; two brothers, Dennis and Dan Cooper; and her uncle, Forgy Norwood.
She is survived by her husband, Clovis “Cody” Craig; four sons and a daughter-in-law, Mark Harville of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, Alan James “Jim” and Amber Harville of LaPorte, Texas, Russell Craig of Bossier City, Louisiana, and Woodrow William Kitchens of Richardson, Texas; one daughter, Vicki Harville Plante of Cleveland, Texas; seven grandchildren, Lindsey Harville, Jenna Brock, Brenna Plante, Bennett Plante, Thomas Williams, Isabel Harville and Ty Harville; three great-grandchildren, Rowan Brock, Cora Brock and Tennyson Brock; one sister, Brenda Cooper of Baytown, Texas; one nephew, Monte Logan and one niece, Carrie Cooper.
Funeral services for Mrs. Craig will be held at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, January 22, 2017, in the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel in De Queen with Jerry Trauger officiating. Burial will follow in the Redmen Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Saturday 21st at the funeral home.
Joyce Clay Gore
Mrs. Joyce Clay Gore, age 84, a resident of Lockesburg, Arkansas died Thursday, January 19, 2017. She was born June 24, 1932, in Lockesburg.
She attended Lockesburg High School, retired from Poulan and a homemaker. She was also a member of the United Methodist Church of Lockesburg.
Mrs. Gore was preceded in death by her parents, Joel and Leta McKellar Clay; her husband, Heskell Gore and one daughter, Sheila Gore Cobb; and five brothers, L.B. Clay, Robert Henry Clay, Cecil Clay, Herman Forest “Dago” Clay, and J.T. Clay.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Terrel and Liz Gore of Kankakee, Illinois; one daughter and son-in-law, Gayle and Robbie Jester of Lockesburg; two brothers, Alton Clay and Wayne Clay both of Lockesburg; three sisters, Nelda McPherson of Arlington, Texas, Marilyn Groves of Memphis, Tennessee and Melba Gore of Texarkana, Texas; five grandchildren, Susan White of McKinney, Texas, Stacey Jarboe and husband Brock of Aurora, Illinois, Beth Hargrove and husband JJ of Felton, Delaware, Rusty Wilkerson and wife Terri of De Queen and Jillian Gore of Woodbridge, Illinois; seven great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 21, 2017 at the United Methodist Church in Lockesburg with Terry Chapman officiating. Burial will follow in the Coulter Cemetery in Lockesburg under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.
The family will receive friends from 5:00- 7:00 Friday, January 20th at the funeral home.
Lunch will be served at the United Methodist Church in Lockesburg after the service.
Charles Morgan "Chuck" Emmerich
Mr. Charles Morgan “Chuck” Emmerich, age 56, a resident of Horatio, Arkansas, died January 15, 2017, in the UAMS Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas.
He was born to Charles Dorron and Ollie Cornish Emmerich in Lakewood, Colorado, on May 15, 1960. As soon as he finished high school, he entered the U. S. Marines in 1978 He spent twenty years in the military. After retiring from the military, he worked as a Sevier County Sheriff’s Deputy, as well as a rancher.
He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Horatio, and enjoyed collecting guns and knives, hunting, fishing, and motorcycles.
He is survived by his wife, Kim Collins Emmerich of Horatio, two sons, Bryson Mendoza of Perryville, Missouri, and Garett Emmerich of Horatio, two daughters, Angelica Emmerich of Fort Collins, Colorado, and Myla Mendoza of Indianapolis, Indiana. His parents, Charles and Ollie Emmerich of Horatio, a sister and brother-in-law, Ollie Charolette and Rick Angle of The Villages, Florida, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mr. Chuck Emmerich will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, January 20th in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ed Bryan officiating. Burial will follow in Old Center Cemetery, Horatio, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday, January 19th from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., at Chandler Funeral Home.
Winona Evelyn Skelton
Mrs. Winona Evelyn Skelton, age 99, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas, died Sunday, January 15, 2017, at her home.
She was born August 4, 1917, in De Queen. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ in De Queen. She was also a member of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary where she held several positions through the years, Adjutant, Chaplin, and Commander.
Mrs. Skelton was preceded in death by her parents Owen Bartlet and Rachel Drucilla Rounstavilla Taylor; her husband, Zeno L. Skelton; one son, Doris Lowell Skelton and one daughter, Sharon Joy Skelton.
She is survived by her daughter, Rayeneta S. Dixon of Argyle, Texas; one grandson, Jon Carlton Dixon of San Marcos, California; one granddaughter, Jacquelyn Teri Dixon of Tampa, Florida; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Skelton will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 18, 2017, in Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel in De Queen with Tony Stowers and Roy Conatser officiating. Burial will follow in Millwee Cemetery in Horatio, Arkansas.

Mrs. Opal E. Hughes
Mrs. Opal Emzie Lawler Getts Hughes, age 83, a resident of Mineral Springs, Arkansas, Died Monday, January 16, 2017 in a Nashville Hospital.
She was born to Leonard Lee and Myrtle Lee Fortune Lawler near Haworth, Oklahoma on July 3, 1933. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Horatio, and was a homemaker. She enjoyed board games, the Senior Citizen’s Center, and her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, Earl “Buddy” Getts in 1981, and Carl Richard Hughes in 1997, children, Earl Wayne Getts, Jimmy Lee Getts, and Shara Ann Lawrence.
She is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, Tommy Dean and Bonnie Getts of Cloverdale, California, Gregory Lynn and Johnnie Hughes, and Jerry Glenn and Donna Hughes both of Mineral Springs, Arkansas. One daughter, Carlotta Kay and Mike Workman of Caney, Oklahoma, twenty-five grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren, and eleven great-great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Ronda Sue Beckwith Phillips
Ronda Sue Beckwith Phillips, age 49, a resident of Wickes, Arkansas died Friday, January 13, 2017 at her home.
She was born March 28, 1967 in De Queen, Arkansas. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Marvella Baker Roan; one son, Jeff Simmons; two sisters, Connie Beckwith and Sonya Kay Davignon; one brother, Brian Odell Beckwith; and one niece, Kimberly Hope Simmons
She is survived by a daughter, Jessica Thomas of Cove, Arkansas; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Ty Beckwith of Wickes, Arkansas and Kyle and Valorie Hackworth of Mena, Arkansas; her father, Cecil Roan of Wickes; and two granddaughters, Taylor Simmons and Talanie Hackworth.
Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Phillips will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Cove with James Squires officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.
