Daniel Eugene "Dan" Alspaw
Mr. Daniel Eugene “Dan” Alspaw, age 67, a resident of Ashdown, Arkansas, died Thursday, October, 20, 2016 in Little River Memorial Hospital.
He was born to Ernest Edwin and Mary Ella Clayton Alspaw in Bakersfield, California, on October 27, 1948. He was self employed with Alspaw Properties, and enjoyed fishing, and being outside. He also had a passion for “Buy, sale, or trade”.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, DeeDee Alspaw, and his siblings, Ernest Delmar Alspaw, Doris Loften, Doretha Tull, Annie Belle Strawn, and John Dale Alspaw.
He is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Marlene Bow Alspaw of Ashdown, two sons and daughters-in-law, Duane and Stacey Alspaw and Duke and Susan Alspaw both of De Queen, a daughter, Dannette Alspaw of De Queen, six grandchildren, Dextin and his wife, Whitney Wheeler of Dierks, Deven Alspaw of De Queen, Dara Cowling of Magnolia, Clayton Alspaw, Aiden Alspaw and Ava Alspaw all of De Queen, a great-grandchild, Brooklee Cowling of Magnolia, AR., two brothers and a sister-in-law, Darrel and Virginia Alspaw, and Duane Alspaw all of Bakersfield, California, three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Darline Leah Butler and Dian and Les Watkins all of Bakersfield, California, Deloris and Oscar Palmer of Cozad, Nebraska, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services for Mr. Dan Alspaw will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, October 24, 2016 in Redmen Cemetery with Duane Alspaw officiating, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen. Visitation will be Sunday, October 23rd from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. at Chandler Funeral Home.
Debra Kay Kessler
Mrs. Debra Kay (Tig) Davis Kessler, age 47, a resident of Eagletown, Oklahoma died Monday, October 17, 2016 in Broken Bow.
She was born February 9, 1969 in Panki Bok, Oklahoma. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy Lee and Ethel Geraldeen Lawler Davis; two brothers, Donnie Davis and Doug Davis; and a nephew, Clayton "Weezer" Cribb.
She is survived by her husband, Steve Kessler; three sons, Steven Ray “Squirrel” Kessler, Brandon “Matty” Kessler and Raymond “Tinky” Kessler; two brothers, Danny Davis and David Davis; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Dianne and Rick Chambless and Devonne Cribb; four grandchildren, Zack, Briar, Clayton and Aubrey; an aunt, Opal Hughes; friend, Casey; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gary and Myra Kessler; one brother-in-law, Michael Kessler and two sisters-in-law, Judy and Linda.
Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Kessler will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 21, 2016, in West Otis Cemetery with Cy Davis officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.
Dewayne Ashbrooks
Dewayne Ashbrooks, age 43, a resident of Dierks, Arkansas, died Monday, October 17, 2016, near Eagletown, Oklahoma.
He was born June 13, 1973 in Nashville, Arkansas.
He is survived by his wife, April Lovewell Ashbrooks; two children, Dylan and Katie Ashbrooks all of Dierks; his father, Roger Ashbrooks of De Queen; his mother, Pat Stokes Ashbrooks of Dierks and one brother Darrin Ashbrooks of Texarkana, Texas.
Funeral services are pending and will be announced later by Wilkerson Funeral Home.
Mr. Agustin Jaramillo
Mr. Agustin Jaramillo, age 50, a resident of De Queen, died Tuesday, October 18, 2016, in Christus St. Michael Hospital.
He was born to Tomas Saucedo and Maria Ascencion Jaramillo in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico on July 17, 1966. He was an employee of Pilgrim’s, and was a member of St. Barbara’s Catholic Church. He was an avid fan of Soccer-Tigres UANL Soccer Club, and was a devoted husband and father.
He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Martha Sanchez of De Queen, a son, Carlos Jaramillo, and a daughter, Martha Jaramillo both of De Queen, two brothers, Julio Alberto Saucedo and Juan Jose Saucedo both of Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Maria de la Luz Hernandez and Jose Garcia of Monterrey Nuevo Leon, Mexico, Vicky Jaramillo of De Queen, and Clara Maria Saucedo and Carlos Rodriguez of Veracruz, Mexico, and a number of other relatives.
Funeral Mass for Mr. Agustin Jaramillo will be held at 2:30 P.M., Thursday, October 20, 2016, in St. Barbara’s Catholic Church with Father Juan Manjarrez officiating. Burial will follow in Redmen Cemetery, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen. Rosary and viewing will be at St. Barbara’s Catholic Church from 9:00 P.M., until Service time.
Sonia Enriquez Perez
Sonia Enriquez Perez, age 34, a resident of Wickes, Arkansas, died Wednesday, October 12, 2016 near Wickes.
She was born on Monday, August 30, 1982, in Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico to Javier Jose Enriquez and Delia Machado. Sonia loved life and enjoyed spending time with her children who were her greatest accomplishments in life. She enjoyed Cumbia dancing and listening to all different kinds of music, from hip hop to mariachi bands. She enjoyed cooking, some of her family’s favorite dishes included enchiladas and rice. Sonia was a loving mother and friend and will be missed by all who knew her.
Sonia was preceded in death by two sons, Damian Enriquez and Raul Ambriz.
She is survived by her boyfriend, Jacinto Decasez of Wickes; four sons, Misael Enriquez of DeQueen, Arkansas, Victor Enriquez, Hugo Silva and Joaquin Ambriz all of Wickes; two daughters, Nyla Decasez and Yiana Decasez both of Wickes; her father, Javier Enriquez of Chicago, Illinois; her mother, Delia Machado of Horatio, Arkansas; three brothers, Adrian Parra and Aaron Lerma both of Horatio, Arkansas and Rene Enriquez of Mexico; several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside services for Sonia will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, October 17, 2016, at Redmen Cemetery in De Queen under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.
Mrs. Janice Rae Reitenbaugh
Mrs. Janice Rae Reitenbaugh, age 73, a resident of Ashdown, Arkansas, died Thursday, October 13, 2016, in Ashdown.
She was born May 10, 1943, in Maryville, Missouri. She was a retired CNA and loved being with her grandchildren.
Mrs. Reitenbaugh was preceded in death by her parents, Robert William and Phyllis Rae Kleber Shill and one son, John Schuetz.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Reitenbaugh; two sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Bobbie Schuetz of Ashdown and Jeff and Lisa Schuetz of Foreman, Arkansas; one daughter, Jennifer Bearden also of Foreman; nine grandchildren, Philana, Brody, Justin, Amber, Misty, Ladonna, Chris, Trista and Lucinda and 16 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Laura Ann Kesterson Davis
Mrs. Laura Ann Kesterson Davis, age 45, a resident of Dierks, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord Thursday, October 13, 2016, at her home.
She was born April 24, 1971, in De Queen, Arkansas to Johnny and Pat Cogburn Kesterson. She was a 1989 graduate of Dierks High School. She received her LPN degree from Cossatot in De Queen in 1998. She worked as a nurse for Dr.Gullett in Dierks and Dr. Buffington in De Queen. She attended the First Assembly of God Church in Dierks.
Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her grandparents, Leodis and Lorene Kesterson and Jim and Dora Cogburn.
She is survived by her son, Jonathan Blake Davis and Sarah Pinkerton and their son Hunter of Dierks; her parents, Johnny and Pat Kesterson of Dierks; one brother, Michael Kesterson and Sharon Cummings of Dierks; and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services for Mrs. Davis will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 16, 2016, in the Wilkerson Funeral Chapel in Dierks with Jaron Tipton and Richard Leech officiating. Burial will follow at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Newhope, Arkansas.
The family will receive friends from 12:00- 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 16 at the Dierks Chapel.
