Mr. Terry Todd
Mr. Glenn Terry Todd, age 73, a resident of Lockesburg, Arkansas, died Sunday, September 25, 2016 in the University of Arkansas Medical Center, Little Rock.
He was born to Glenn W. and Bertha London Todd in Ardmore, Oklahoma, on February 6, 1943. He was retired auditor for Jones Blair company, and was an active member of the De Queen Church of Christ. He enjoyed wood working, flowers, fishing and an avid Oklahoma University Sooner Fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a son, Grant Todd.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Patricia Ann Pickens Todd of Lockesburg, one son, Kerry Drew Todd of Lockesburg. Two grandsons, Austin Todd and Tanner Todd of Gun Barrel City, Texas, two great-granddaughters, Tatum Skye Todd and Kinsley Todd both of Gun Barrel City, Texas, three sisters and two-brothers-in-law, Darlene and Bud Tibbles of Hominy, Oklahoma, Patricia Ann Dobson of Moore, Oklahoma and Sharon and Jack Moore of Mesquite, Texas and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mr. Terry Todd will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, September 30, 2016 in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Toney Stowers and Bobby Tatum, Ministers officiating. Burial will follow in the Lockesburg Cemetery, Lockesburg, Arkansas, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Thursday, September 29, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Chandler Funeral Home.
Ryan Dillon Gilbert
Ryan Dillon Gilbert, age 20, a resident of Dierks, Arkansas, died February 28, 2016.
He was born June 3, 1995 in Texarkana, Texas. He was a member of the Grace Missionary Baptist Church in Nashville, Arkansas.
Ryan was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jr. and Geneva Diggs.
He is survived by his parents, Ronald and Kim Gilbert of Dierks; his grandparents, J.W. and Jenice Gilbert also of Dierks; special grandparents, Rickey Icenhower of Midland, Texas and Mellie Walker of Nashville, Arkansas and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 26, 2016, at Mt. Carmel Church in Dierks with Gary Welch and J.W. Gilbert officiating. Burial will follow in Sunshine Cemetery, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.
The family will be at the home of Ronald and Kim Gilbert, 679 Greens Plains Road, Dierks, AR.
Charlotte Gayle House
Mrs. Charlotte Gayle House, age 52, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas, died at her home. She was born in Irving, Texas, on October 29, 1963, and graduated from Horatio High School in 1980. She was a CNA and a member of the First Assembly of God Church in De Queen. She enjoyed reading, arts and crafts, fishing, camping, and spending time
With family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Bobby Stewart.
She is survived by two daughters, Brandy Ingram of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Emily Alexander of Mena, Arkansas. Her mother, Linda Stewart of De Queen, Arkansas, three grandchildren,Colt and Brent Ingram of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Zander McMillian of Mena, three brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert and Joy Long of Kemp, Texas, John and Julie Platt and Doug Platt both of De Queen, three sisters, Tonya and Carlos Martinez of Horatio, Misty Nixon and Tasha Callahan both of De Queen, seventeen nieces and nephews, Justin, Jarrin, Destiny, Kenyana,
Jonathan, Ashley, Tristan, Ruben, Isaiah, Joseph, Tanner, Angelica, Sebastian, Alexander, John Robert, Brandi, and Jaycee.
Graveside funeral Services will be held on Sunday, September 25th at 2:00 P.M., in the Mt.Ida Cemetery, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Saturday, September 24th from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Chandler Funeral Home.
Mr. Earnest Gene Greenlee
Mr. Earnest Gene Greenlee, age 78, a resident of Lockesburg, Arkansas, died Monday, September 19, 2016 at his home.
He was born to Jake, Sr. and Marie Ernestine Rogers Greenlee in Lockesburg, Arkansas, May 4, 1938. He was a retired construction worker, and a Baptist. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings, J. M. Greenlee, James “Jackie” Greenlee, Delmer Greenlee, Nora Mae Favors, and two grandchildren, Jamacus Greenlee.
He is survived by his wife of over 59 years, Celestine Greenlee of Lockesburg, 5 sons and daughters-in-law, Michael Greenlee of Nashville, Ronald and Hazel Greenlee of Nashville, Earnest Randolph Greenlee of Kansas City, Kansas, Troy and Dana Greenlee of Mineral Springs, Arkansas, and Brian and Tamieka Greenlee of Keller, Texas, a daughter and son-in-law, Sheila and Odell Gulley of Hope, Arkansas, two brothers and sisters-in-law, Samuel and Maude Greenlee of Chicago, Illinois, Jake, Jr. and Sandra Greenlee of Lockesburg, a sister, Alice Faye Mitchell of California, eleven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mr. Earnest Greenlee will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, September 24, 2016 in the Roland Piggee Memorial Church, Lockesburg. Burial will follow in the Graves Chapel Cemetery, Lockesburg, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen. Visitation will be on Friday, September 23, 2016 at Chandler Funeral Home from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M.
Gordon Edwin Turner
Gordon Edwin Turner, age 76, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas, died Friday, September 16, 2016, in Texarkana, Texas.
He was born February 17, 1940, in De Queen. He was an accountant, a bookkeeper, and a member of Friendship Baptist Church.
Mr. Turner was preceded in death by his wife, Billie Carrie House Turner; his parents, Pellie and Lillie Turner, and one brother Howard Turner.
He is survived by one son, Matthew Turner of De Queen, and one brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Peggy Turner also of De Queen.
Graveside funeral services for Mr. Turner will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 19, 2016, at Valley Cemetery with Bro. George Frachiseur officiating under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.
Mrs. Johnnie Adami
Mrs. Johnnie Louise Beard Adami, age 94, a resident of De Queen, and former resident of Amarillo, Texas, died Tuesday, September 13, 2016 in the De Queen Therapy and Living Center, De Queen.
She was born to John David and Jennie Leon Abernathy Beard in Grayson County, Texas on December 19, 1922. She was a bookkeeper, and a homemaker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Amarillo, Texas and enjoyed reading and sewing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, ten of her siblings, and her husband, Oscar B. Adami.
She is survived by a sister, Lorene Hamby of De Queen, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Interment will be in Amarillo, Texas. Local arrangements are under the direction of Chandler Funeral home, De Queen.
Mrs. Wanda Sue Young
Wanda Sue Young, 81, of Ashdown, AR passed away September 14, 2016.
Mrs. Young was born February 11, 1935 in Lynn, AR to Troy and Olivia Rainwater. She is preceded in death by her husband, R. B. Young; parents; and one son, Mark Allen Young.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Martin and Judy Young of De Queen, AR; one daughter and son-in-law, Jacqueline and Danny Duncan of Ashdown, AR; four brothers, Howard Rainwater of St. Louis, MO; Terry Rainwater of Lynn, AR; Jack Rainwater of Lynn, AR; and Larry Rainwater of Lynn, AR; One sister, Kathy Jacobson of Elgin, Illinois; four grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Private Memorial Services will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of Madden Funeral Home.
