Ethel Faye (Kinder) Keaster
Ethel Faye (Kinder) Keaster, passed away from this life on July 26, 2016 at the age of 82. She was born on September 13, 1933 in Swifton, Arkansas to E.B. and Eula (Nelson) Kinder.
She was married to Eunice Sylvester Keaster on December 2, 1954 in Swifton, Arkansas and they were married sixty years. She was a homemaker, babysitter and enjoyed keeping all her grandkids through the years. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were the joy of her life.
She loved going to church and was a devoted Christian. She worked in the food pantry in her church. She also had many church sales selling clothes and other items to raise money for the food pantry in her church. She kept a supply of clothes on hand in all different sizes to help people whenever in need.
She is survived by two daughters and son-in-law of Dierks, Janet and Bobby Whisenhunt and Alisa Thornton; five grandchildren, Jon Whisenhunt and wife Crystal of Dierks, Shana Thornton of Dierks, Tracy (Whisenhunt) Kendrick and husband Wayne of Cerrogordo, Lee Thornton of Dierks, Jennifer (Whisenhunt) Jester and husband Tyler of Maumelle; seven great grandchildren, Brett Nutt, Curtis Nutt, Destiny Nutt, Davin Burgess, Laken Whisenhunt, Jalynn Jester, Evan Kendrick; one sister Pauline Calhoun of Tuckerman, Arkansas; she is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Eunice Sylvester Keaster, her parents E.B. and Eula Kinder, one son in law Webster Thornton, her twin brother Ray Kinder, two brothers Carl Kinder, Joe Kinder, six sisters Lola Mae Kinder, Joyce Kinder, Lois Self, Ruby Benson, Aline Brewer, and Alma Benson.
Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Friday July 29 at the Dierks Assembly of God Church
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Saturday, July 30 at the Dierks Assembly of God with Bro. Kevin Herrington officiating. Burial will follow in Fellowship Cemetery, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville.
Mrs. Tawny Northern
Mrs. Tawny Janene Cardel Northern, age 66, a resident of Lockesburg, Arkansas, died Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at her home.
She was born on May 16, 1950 in Texarkana, Texas. She was retired from Texas Instruments, as an inspector. She enjoyed crocheting, playing with animals, and was an avid reader.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her siblings, Tanya Cardel and Ralph Cardel.
She is survived by her husband, Lonnie Northern of Lockesburg, Arkansas, a son, Paul Bryson of Miami, Florida, a daughter and son-in-law, Glenda and David Runnels of Provo, Arkansas, two grandsons, Thomas Stanley of Provo, and Justin Runnels of Nashville, Arkansas. A granddaughter, Amber runnels of Provo, Arkansas, three great-grandchildren, Remington Davis and Jayden Runnels both of Provo, Arkansas and Emily Bradshaw of Delight, Arkansas, a niece, Lisa N0orthern, and a special friend, Glenda Irons.
A memorial service will be at a later date. Cremation under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen.
Mrs. Phyllis Mae Berti
Mrs. Phyllis Mae Berti, age 75, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas, died Saturday, July 23, 2016 at her home, after a long battle with cancer.
She was born in Blue Island, Illinois on January 27, 1941, to John and Helen Smola Ekert. After her dad’s death in World War II, she was raised by her mom and step-father, Louis Hankus. She worked as a medical records technician, as well as a homemaker. She was Catholic, and enjoyed traveling, housekeeping, her flower garden, and floral designs.
She was preceded in death her parents, and her husband of over 40 years, Jerome Leon Berti.
She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. Jeffery and Toula Berti of Hinsdale, Illinois, Joseph and Amy Berti of Denver, Colorado, and James Berti of Sun City, Arizona, a daughter, Cindy Berti of De Queen, Arkansas, a sister, Carol Guger of Orland, Illinois, twelve grandchildren, and one great-grandchild, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Addie Lee Fitzhugh Clowers
Mrs. Addie Lee Fitzhugh Clowers, age 93, a resident of Ashdown, Arkansas, died Friday, July 22, 2016, in Ashdown.
She was born April 16, 1923 in Little River County to James Earl and Minervia Alice Ayers Fitzhugh. She was a homemaker and a member of the Tom Church of Christ.
Mrs. Clowers was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold Everett Clowers; two sons, James Everett Clowers and Joseph Harold Clowers; and a grandson Jimmy Kent; and four brothers.
She is survived by her three daughters and two sons-in-law, Dorothy and Gary Walz of Texarkana, Arkansas, Barbara Adcock of Tom, Oklahoma, and Linda and Dale Edwards of DeKalb, Mississippi.
Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Clowers will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 25, 2016, in the Dollarhide Pavilion at Dollarhide Cemetery under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 9:30-10:00 a.m., Monday, July 25, 2016 at the Dollarhide Pavilion.
Mr. James E. Bishop
Mr. James Elmer Bishop, age 67, a resident of Shreveport, Louisiana, died Saturday, July 2, 2016 in Shreveport, LA.
He was born on November 1, 1948 in De Queen, Arkansas. He grew up in De Queen, and graduated from De Queen High School in 1966. He entered the US Navy in November of 1967 and served until August 1973, a veteran of the Vietnam War.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Mary Williams and Leila Mullins, and a brother-in-law, Robert Stow.
He is survived by a son, J. J. Bishop of Stilwell Oklahoma, a daughter, Ann Bishop also of Stillwell, Oklahoma, his children's mother, Dorothy Spence of Stillwell, Oklahoma, a brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Marnetta Bishop of Nashville, Arkansas, a sister, Marie Stow of Tulsa, Oklahoma, four grandchildren, a number of nieces and nephews, and a special friend, Clarence Chisom of Shreveport, LA.
His remains were buried in the Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, Keithville, LA, on July 18, 2016.
Mr. Manuel C. Dossett
Mr. Manuel C. Dossett, age 82, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas died Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at his home.
Mr. Dossett was born October 12, 1933 in Winthrop, Arkansas to Nora A. McLain Dossett and Manuel Labron Dossett. He was the retired owner of M.C. Dossett Ties, Lumber, and Logging Company, a trustee at Rose Hill Baptist Church, a 32nd degree mason at Sweet Home Masonic Lodge, a Shriner, a member of the Gideons and an avid hunter, fisherman, and woodworker.
Mr. Dossett was preceded in death by a brother, Labron Don Dossett; a sister, Margaret Lofa Dossett Brewer; a granddaughter, Meagan Vay Dossett; and a son, James Manuel Dossett.
Survivors include his wife, Ileen A. Dossett; three sons and daughters-in-law; John Foster and Renita Dossett, Laborn Todd and Diana Dossett, Earnest E. and Cindy Rynders; three daughters and sons-in-law; Marcia Kay and Spencer O’Connor, Thelma Lenora and Ron Hoff, and Ramona and Mark Scaggs; grandchildren; Alicia Ann Loman, Carly E. Stinnett, Dara Dossett Schwarz, Manuel Caleb Dossett, Charlie Farley, James Farley, Lyndon Hoff, and Douglas Ryanders; great-grandchildren Matthew Tanner Loman, Devon Ileen Stinnett, Colton Chase Loman, Ethan Ray Stinnett, Casey Ray Loman, Sydnei E. Sams, Bryson Hoff, Andrew Farley, Rayleigh Farley, Jenna Farley, and Lane Farley; and a very special friend, Kenneth McDonnell.
Funeral services for Mr. Dossett will be held at 9:00 a.m., Saturday, July 23, 2016 at the Rose Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Smallwood officiating. Burial, with masonic rites, will follow in the Campground Cemetery in Winthrop, Arkansas under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.

Milford Gerald "Bob" Roberts
Mr. Milford Gerald "Bob" Roberts, age 85, a resident of Vancouver, Washington passed away on Sunday July 10, 2016 at his home.
Mr. Roberts was born on October 3, 1930 in Gillham, Arkansas to James and Lois Willmon Roberts. He served 22 years in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. He retired from the Army as a Captain, and received two Purple Hearts: The Silver Star and Bronze recipient, Distinguished Flying Cross, and Air Medal with four clusters.
Mr. Roberts was an automotive car dealership owner of the following: Roberts Chrysler and Pioneer Jeep-Eagle in Hillsboro, Oregon, Rose City Chevrolet in St. Johns, Oregon, Frontier Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep and Frontier Ford in LaGrande, Oregon, Roberts Dodge in Eugene, Oregon, Roberts Ford and Roberts Tri-City Dodge in Kennewick, Washington, and Sterlings Car Dealerships.
He was preceded in death by one son, Bobby Lynn Roberts; one daughter, Anita Kaye Roberts; and one brother, Bill Roberts.
Mr. Roberts is survived by his wife of 51 years, Sandra L. Roberts; one son, Milford G. "Butch" Roberts and wife Nancy of Lockesburg, Arkansas; one daughter, Deborah F. Smith and husband Charles L. of Newhope, Arkansas; one step son, Gerald G. "Gary" Fleenor of Beaverton, Oregon; two adopted sons, Jesse and James Roberts both of Vancouver, Washington; one adopted daughter, Ricki Roberts Sauls of South Carolina; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren and a host of loving family and friends.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 23, 2016 in the Cossatot Cemetery in Gillham, Arkansas with Rev. John Henry Williams officiating under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.
