Charline Dodson Coulter
Charline Dodson Coulter, AR, passed away Monday, May 2, 2016. She was born July 13, 1925, in Wright City, Oklahoma, and currently resided in Little Rock, AR. The Good Lord decided that Monday would be a great day to join the love of her life, Dick Coulter, so, that they could celebrate what was their 69th wedding anniversary.
Charline was a 40 + year resident of Daingerfield, TX, and also lived in Longview, TX, Hot Springs, AR, Lockesburg, AR, and De Queen, AR,
Charline was a survivor and full of determination in her every endeavor. She was an educator who taught in Mount Ida, AR, Hughes Springs, TX and Daingerfield, TX, for many years; she began college at Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, and graduated from Texas A&M-Commerce She was actively involved in the First Methodist Church of Daingerfield, Pandora Study Club and PEO.
After Dick passed away, she turned to her new partner, her computer. She wrote Poetry and Haiku, learned and joined Facebook. Her niece, Margaret, helped to her have a book of her Poetry published, a true highlight of her life. She also began painting and became quite accomplished in that talent also.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Murphy (Dick) Coulter, Jr; her son, Richard Murphy Coulter III; her parents, Charles and Thelma Dodson; her sister, Diane Dodson McGhee; her brother, Dr. C. Dwight Dodson, and her niece, Nancy Lynn Dodson Peters.
She is survived by her daughter Beth and husband, Matthew Lanagan; Grand- daughter, Betty Caraline Coulter, Great Grand-Daughter, Amelia Charline Alzada Coulter Sister in law, Nancy Allen Dodson, Brother- in- law, Terry McGhee and , Nieces & Nephews, Dana (Tom ) Dykman, Lee Ann Dodson, , Allen (Denise) Dodson, and Margaret McGhee, Jane Ellen (Jerry) LaBounty, Nancy Coulter r, Charles Mack Coulter, and Special Cousins: Ann ( Dan) Clemans, John (Donna) Coulter, Joe (Katie)Coulter and a whole tribe of great nieces and nephews’, Erin, Kim, Sarah, Daniel, Hannah, Cody, ,Gerard, Lisa,
Charline lived by the Serenity Prayer and various verses of the Bible. She loved to travel and Dick and Charline enjoyed many cruises together.
We wish to thank the staff of Hickory Heights Health and Rehabilitation for providing her care for the past few years. They kept her going and kept her involved. She made many special friends and it became a 2nd home for her.
A graveside memorial service will be held at the Coulter Memorial Cemetery in Lockesburg, AR on Saturday, May 14th at 1:30 pm, followed by a visitation in the Fellowship Building at the First Methodist Church in Lockesburg, Arkansas.

Kristie Dale McDonald
Kristie Dale McDonald, age 44, a resident of Foreman, Arkansas died Saturday, May 7, 2016 in Little Rock, Arkansas.
She was born November 21, 1971 in De Queen, Arkansas. She was a civilian contractor for the U.S. government, and a U.S. Army veteran, having served 6 years. She loved to bowl, play softball and loved all sports.
She was preceded in death by her father, William Dale Hudson, Jr.
She is survived by her daughter, Megan McDonald of Foreman; her mother, Mary Hudson, also of Foreman; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Michelle and Allen Oglesby of Arkinda, Arkansas, Teresa Smith of Horatio, Arkansas and Lynn and David Ackley of Nashville, Arkansas; one aunt, one uncle and a number of cousins, nieces and nephews.
Memorial services for Kristie will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 14, 2016 in the Tom Baptist Church with Jerry Galloway officiating.

Mr. Vernon Edgar Vaughn
Mr. Vernon Edgar Vaughn, age 78, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas, died Friday, May 6, 2016
in a Denison, Texas Hospital.
He was born to Daniel Robert and Nellie Mae Fondren Vaughn in Brock, Oklahoma, on October 26, 1937. He was retired Park Superintendent for Lake Murray State of Oklahoma, and a member of the Kern Heights Baptist Church in De Queen. He enjoyed fishing, playing music on his guitar, gardening, and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Frances Vaughn, his siblings, Walter Vaughn, Lawrence Blalock, Glenn Vaughn, and Joe Case, and his best friend, Elmo Parker.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda Vaughn of De Queen, three daughters and sons-in-law, Emma & Tim White of Sherman, Texas, Violet and Mike Miller of Wichita Falls, Texas, and Nellie Garcia of Ardmore, Oklahoma, two sons, Eddie Vaughn of Dallas, Texas, and Charles Vaughn of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, three brothers and a sister-in-law, Jessie and Peggy Vaughn of Gillham, Arkansas, Elton Vaughn of Ardmore, Oklahoma, and Jefferson Tom of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, two sisters, Sally Diaz of Aikens, South Carolina, and Ruth Tom of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, ten grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren, a number of nieces and nephews, and other family members.
Funeral Services for Mr. Vernon Vaughn will be held at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, May 10th in the Kern Heights Baptist Church, De Queen, Arkansas, with Rev. Jordan Hodges officiating. Burial will follow in the Pauley Cemetery, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Monday, May 9th from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M.
Mr. James Lee Davis
Mr. James Lee Davis, age 64, a resident of Lockesburg, Arkansas, died Tuesday, May 3rd peacefully at his home. He was born to James Dickey and Dorothy Jean Yancey Davis in Harrisburg, Arkansas, on February 1, 1952. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, having served in the U. S. Army. He was a logger, owner of Davis Appliance and HVAC. He was a member of the Church of Christ at Lockesburg, and enjoyed fishing, hunting, photography, gardening, watching John Wayne movies and westerns, and cherished the time spent with family, especially his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Larry Wayne Davis.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Carol Lynne King Davis of Lockesburg, two daughters and sons-in-law, Regina and Craig Grubbs of De Queen, and Cassie and Mark Schroer of Lockesburg, five sons and a daughter-in-law, Jonothan Lee Davis of Lockesburg, Thomas Jefferson Davis of Lockesburg, Jaymes Quentin Davis and Shena Carver of Lockesburg, Sgt. Stephen Louis Davis of Fort Campbell, Kentucky, and Malachi Isaac Davis of Lockesburg, ten grandchildren, Bradley and Meghan Grubbs, Haley Grubbs Madden, Noah Davis Grubbs, Gabriel Grubbs, Kaydence Schroer, Layne Schroer, Jedidiah Schroer, Willow Schroer, Jayson Davis and Elijah Davis, three great-grandchildren, Braelyn and Ayden Madden, and Maci Grubbs, five brothers and sisters-in-law, Carl William and Corine Davis of Lewisville, Arkansas, Floyd Lavelle and Debbie Davis of Nashville, Arkansas, Kenneth Morris and Rose Mary Davis of Durant, Oklahoma, Daniel Ray and Stephanie Davis of Centerpoint, Arkansas, two sisters and a brother-in-law, Phyllis Ann and Brian Foster of Texarkana, Arkansas, and Mary Alice Bland of Doby Springs, Texas, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mr. James Davis will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, May 7th in the Lockesburg Church of Christ with Joe May, minister officiating. Burial with military rites will follow in the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Lockesburg, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen, Arkansas, on Friday, May 6th from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.
Mrs. Lois Marie Chandler Wray
Mrs. Lois Marie Chandler Wray, age 76, a resident of Cooper, Texas, died Tuesday, April 26, 2016 in Cooper, Texas. She was born to Frank and Lona Lee Griggs Chandler in Horatio, Arkansas, on August 1, 1939. She was a Baptist and a homemaker. She enjoyed singing, and spending time with family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, Grace Settoon, Ruth Dorsey, Dub Chandler, Randall Eugene Chandler, Becky Hughes, and Franklin Chandler, and her great-granddaughter, Haley Marie Bell. She is survived by two sons, Scotty Wray of Hermitage, Tennessee, and Floyd “Bubba” Wray of Nashville, Tennessee, a daughter-in-law, Cathy Wray of Waldo, Arkansas, three grandchildren, Brittney Bell of Nashville, Jacob Wray of Greenville, Texas, and Sarah Wray of Commerce, Texas, a great-granddaughter, Mattie Bell of Nashville, Tennessee, two brothers and sisters-in-law, Noel Duane and Sandy Chandler of Brenham, Texas, and Lawrence Ray and Marian Chandler of De Queen, Arkansas, as well as, a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, May 3rd at 2:00 P.M., in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Redmen Cemetery, De Queen, Arkansas, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home.
Milton H. Presley
Mr. Milton H. Presley, age 92, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas went home to be with his Lord, Saturday, April 30, 2016 in Mena, Arkansas.
He was born February 27, 1924 in Hatfield, Arkansas. He was a Baptist, lumber mill worker and a U.S. Army Veteran having served during World War II.
Mr. Presley was preceded in death by his wife, Clara Eslee Counts Presley; his parents, George and Mattie Presley; three sisters and one brother.
He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Milford and April Presley of San Diego, California and J.L. and Lorene Presley of De Queen; one daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Leland Lowe of Sweet Home, Oregon; one sister, Bobbie Rowell of Lebanon, Oregon; two sisters-in-law, Ivil Rowell of Mena and Lillie Counts of McAlister, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren, Dale, Mike, Brian and Mark Presley, Milissa Eldridge, Terrie Crawford, Larry and Waylan Cook, Jason Lowe and Carrie Stanenart; 24 great-grandchildren with the 25th due in July and a number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services for Mr. Presley will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 7, 2016, in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Cove, Arkansas under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:00 p.m., Friday, May 6th at the funeral home.
Wilma Nadine Taggart
After a heroic year long fight with cancer, Wilma Nadine Taggart, a resident of Horatio, AR, went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 1, 2016.
She was born on August 25, 1940 in Horatio. She was a retired registered nurse who had a passion for helping people. She was loved by and loved all who met her and especially enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara, her mother Gladine and father J.W. Pulliam. She is survived by her sister, Renee Frederick of El Dorado, her brother, Charlie Chapman, her children Jill Lorenc and Bobby Aldridge of Horatio and Dena Canaguier of Gladewater, Texas; grandchildren, Breanna DeVasier of Horatio, Ashley & William Wilson of Malvern, Kaylee Cornett of Las Vegas, Brandon Cornett and Lexi Austin of Horatio, Nick Canaguier, Sean Canaguier, and Kaitlynn Canaguier of Gladewater, TX; 5 great grandchildren Gabby Cornett, Ethan Cornett, Aiden Wilson, Ryker Canaguier, and Kolton Springer.
