Norma Kesterson
Norma Kesterson, age 76, a resident of Dierks, Arkansas, died Tuesday, January 20, 2015 in Little Rock, Arkansas.
She was born October 31, 1938, in Burg, Arkansas. She was a retired registered nurse and worked at the VA Hospital in Shreveport and attended Fellowship Baptist Church in Dierks.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Kelsie R. and Cozie Kirby Kesterson and one brother, Don Kesterson.
She is survived by two brothers and sisters-in-law, Ronnie and Sharon Kesterson and Bobby and Gloria Kesterson all of Dierks and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 23, 2015, in the Fellowship Baptist Church with Gary Welch and James Butler officiating. Burial will follow in Burg Cemetery, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in Dierks.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday, January 22nd at the funeral home in Dierks.
Mary Jo Miller Miles
Mrs. Mary Jo Miller Miles, age 78, a resident of Wickes, Arkansas, died Tuesday, January 20, 2015, in Dierks Health and Rehab Center in Dierks.
She was born January 29, 1936, in Washington. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Miles was preceded in death by her parents, Boggie Leonard and Mary Irene Hilton Miller; her husband, Jasper Elmer “J.E.-Red” Miles and infant son, David Ray Miles; one sister, Clara Riechart; and two brothers, Bill Miller and Johnny Miller.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Preston and Sharon Miles and Jimmie and Teresa Miles; three daughters and sons-in-law, Wilma and Bill Goodman, Linda and Terry Thomas and Nancy and Stanley Jewell; three brothers, R.C. Miller, Roy Miller and Bobby Miller;18 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Miles will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 24, 2015, in the Duckett Cemetery Pavilion with Paul Stewart and Chris Burke officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, January 23rd at the funeral home.
Mrs. Francis Jackie Lyons
Mrs. Francis Jackie Lyons, age 80, a resident of De Queen, died Tuesday, January 20, 2015, in De Queen.
She was born April 13, 1934, in De Queen. She was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church in De Queen.
Mrs. Lyons was preceded in death by her parents, Gus and Jeffie Rink Johnson; and a son, David Lyons.
She is survived by her husband, Jimmie Lyons; one son, Jim Lyons, Jr. of Reno Nevada; one daughter, Denise Huckaby; one sister, Lavonne Tutt both of De Queen; 4 grandchildren, a number of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A Memorial service for Mrs. Lyons will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 11, 2015, in the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ron Newberry officiating.
Rodger Earl Rightmire
Rodger Earl Rightmire, age 58, a resident of Eagletown, Oklahoma, died Saturday, January 10, 2015, in Eagletown.
He was born December 28, 1956, in De Queen.
Rodger was preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Dorothy Browning Rightmire; one sister, Katherine Short and one son, Raymond Rightmire.
He is survived by one son, Robert Rightmire of Duncan, Oklahoma; five brothers, Kenneth Rightmire of Oregon, Bobby Rightmire and Jackie Rightmire both of De Queen, Joe Ed Rightmire of Altus, Oklahoma and Larry Hall of Gillham; two sisters, Barbara Jean Rightmire and Frances Bailey both of De Queen; one granddaughter and a number of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 24, 2015, in Redmen Cemetery in De Queen.

John Steve Kirby
John Steve Kirby, age 51, a resident of Dierks, Arkansas died Saturday, January 17, 2015 near Dierks.
He was born May 12, 1963 in De Queen, Arkansas. He was co-owner of Kirby & Kirby Dozer and Gravel, faithful member of the Burg Church of Christ, where he taught Bible class, and a devoted family man. He was also the fire chief for the Umpire Volunteer Fire Department and loved the Razorbacks.
Mr. Kirby was preceded in death by his father, George Virdo Kirby.
He is survived by his wife, Penny Kirkpatrick Kirby of Dierks; his mother, Kathryn Chandler Kirby of Dierks; two sons and daughters-in-law, Derek and Cassie Kirby of Burg and Devin and Neesha Kirby of Umpire; one daughter and son-in-law, Laken and Daniel Faulkner of Umpire; one brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Pam Kirby of Dierks; one sister and brother-in-law, Janette and Gary Bearden of Umpire; seven grandchildren, Brayden Kirby, Andrew Kirby, Hannah Kirby, John Taylor Kirby, Jacoby Faulkner, Brielle Kirby and Amelia Kirby; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mr. Kirby will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 20, 2015 in the Dierks Church of Christ with Burl Young officiating. Burial will follow in the Burg Cemetery, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in Dierks.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday, January 19, 2015 at the Burg Church of Christ.
Babe Ruth Chandler Dorsey
Mrs. Babe Ruth Chandler Dorsey, age 84, a resident of De Queen, died Friday, January 16, 2015, at her home.
She was born to Frank and Lona Griggs Chandler on April 26, 1930, in Horatio, Arkansas. She was a retired USDA Poultry Inspector, working in Grannis, Nashville, De Queen, and Broken Bow. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Horatio, and enjoyed crocheting, needle point, sewing, cooking, canning, gardening, and most of all her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, Grace Settoon, Randall Eugene Chandler, Dub Chandler, and Franklin Chandler, a daughter, Diane Holden, a granddaughter, Lorissa Vickers, a great-great-grandchild, April Taylor, and in 2009, her husband of over 62 years, Claude Dorsey.
She is survived by three sons, and daughters-in-law, Richard Dorsey of Horatio, Billy and Donna Dorsey of Haworth, Oklahoma, and Mark and Robin Dorsey of De Queen, four daughters and sons-in-law, Claudette Taylor of De Queen, Lana Jo and Larry Vickers, of De Queen, Tommi and Rob Smith of Horatio, and Danita Dorsey of De Queen. Two brothers and sister-in-laws, Noel Duane and Sandy Chandler of Brenham, Texas, and Lawrence and Marian Chandler of De Queen, two sisters, Becky Alice Allen of Baton Rouge, La., and Lois Wray of Cooper, Texas, 25 grandchildren, 58 great-grandchildren, 17 great-great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Babe Ruth Dorsey will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, January 19, 2015, in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor John Gutierres and Bro. Joey Brewer officiating. Burial will follow in Redmen Cemetery, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen. Her grandsons will serves as pallbearers, Nathan Dorsey, Richard Dorsey, Eric Smith, Blake Dorsey, Lucas Dorsey, Jimmy “Bubba” Hankins, Jason Hankins, and Larry Vickers, Jr. The family will receive friends at Chandler Funeral Home on Sunday, January 18th from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M.
Mae Lowe Moor
Mae Lowe Moor, age 54, a resident of Horatio, Arkansas died Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at her home.
She was born February 10, 1960 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Cooper Lowe.
She is survived by her husband, Tommy Moor of Horatio; two sons, Jerry Moor of Oklahoma City and Ray Moor of Horatio; one daughter, Rena Sims of De Queen, Arkansas; her father, Earl Lowe; two brothers, John Lowe and Timothy Lowe, both of Oklahoma; one sister, Sharon Lowe, also of Oklahoma; six grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
