Mr. William Young “Billy” Ayers
Mr. William Young “Billy” Ayers, age 70, a resident of Horatio, Arkansas, died Friday, December 12, 2014 at his home.
He was born to James Robert and Ruth Corene Young Ayers in Hooks, Texas, on March 31, 1944. After graduation from Horatio High School, Billy served six years in the National Guard. He was a truck driver for McConnell Heavy Haulers, as well as a cattle and poultry farmer. He was a member of the Geneva Missionary Baptist Church, and enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings, Michael Ayers, Ronald and Donald Ayers, Bobby Wayne Ayers, and Larry Dale Ayers.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Wanda L. Suggs Ayers of Horatio, a son and daughter-in-law, Bobby Dale and Tina Ayers of Horatio, two daughters and sons-in-law, Vanessa Louise and Jim Milloway of Knoxville, Arkansas, and Geraldine “Gerrie” and James Littleton of Magazine, Arkansas, ten grandchildren, Alexis Nicole Griffin, Hunter Wells Griffin, Chevy Dale Ayers, David Loy Milloway, and his wife, Alana Brooke Milloway, Rebecca Lynn Milloway, Jessica Lane Milloway, Kayla Leanne Milloway, Jared Wayne Lambeth, William Tyler Littleton, and Warren Dailey Littleton, one sister, Deborah Ayers of Lockesburg, two sisters-in-law, Velma Ayers of Ashdown, Arkansas, and Rendy Ayers of Horatio, Arkansas, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Mr. Bobby Edward Bush
Mr. Bobby Edward Bush, age 60, a resident of De Queen, died Tuesday, December 9, 2014 in Broken Bow, Oklahoma.
He was born July 2, 1954 in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was employed by Romine Oil Company as a manager for Water Works in Broken Bow, Oklahoma. He was an avid Arkansas Razorbacks fan and loved the Dallas Cowboys.
Mr. Bush was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Edward Bush and Ella Mae Parker Aguillar and one grandchild, Jeffrey Hinshaw.
He is survived by the mother of his children, Brenda Bush; three daughters and a son-in-law, Jessica and Christopher Minatra, Shawnta Davis and Michelle West, all of Woodward, Oklahoma; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Shane and Shalla Bush also of Woodward and Jeremy Bush of Hot Springs, Arkansas; five grandchildren, Brandon, Emily, and Nicholas Wilkerson, Summer West and Aerianna Minatra; three sisters, Mary Ann Lechner, Glenda Brewer and Donna Crist; two brothers, Donald Whitt and Johnny Whitt; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Funeral Services for Mr. Bush will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, December 13, 2014, in the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation will follow.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m., Saturday at the funeral home.
Rickey Carnell Stanford
Rickey Carnell Stanford, age 50, a resident of De Queen, died Wednesday, December 10, 2014, at his home.
He was born August 11, 1964 in De Queen. He was a building contractor, a born again Christian and a member of the Wickes Pentecostal Church of God.
Ricky was preceded in death by his father, Dock Stanford.
He is survived by his wife, Leslie Ayers Stanford; one son and daughter-in-law, Cass and Nikki Stanford; his mother, Julia Cox Stanford; one brother, Travis Stanford; one sister, Falicia Stanford and one grandson, Jai Stanford.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 13, 2014, in the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Chris Burke officiating.
Mrs. Helen Sue Overturf Davis
Mrs. Helen Sue Overturf Davis, age 81, a resident of De Queen, died Sunday, December 7, 2014 in De Queen.
She was born January 27, 1933 in Gillham, Arkansas. She was a homemaker and a member of the De Queen First Baptist Church.
Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Goldie Overturf; her husband, Eutah Davis, Jr. and one brother, Sterling Overturf.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Chris and Tina Davis of Lowell, Arkansas and Jay and Dennell Davis of Nashville, Arkansas; one brother, Lester Overturf of Gillham; two sisters, Arlene Whitley of De Queen and Wilma Smith of Missouri; three grandchildren, Ashley Davis, Zach Davis and wife Ashley, Kolten McCracken; and one great grandchild, Anna Kate Davis.
Graveside service for Mrs. Davis will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 10, 2014, in the Overturf Cemetery with Rev. Homer Frachiseur officiating under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.
Mr. Thomas Paul Wilson
Mr. Thomas Paul Wilson, age 72, a resident of Lockesburg, Arkansas, died Friday, December 5, 2014 in De Queen, Arkansas.
He was born June 12, 1942 in Joplin, Missouri. He served in the U.S. Army, and worked for Weyerhaeuser for 25 years and then for CCCUA until his retirement. He spent his retirement years traveling and making knives.
Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Arnold and Marjorie Lorraine Eversall Wilson; and a son, Thomas Steven Wilson.
He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Shelia and Bobby Black of De Queen; a son, Anthony Wilson of Texarkana, Texas; a sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Joe Cole of Daughtery, Iowa; a half-sister, Sandy Phillips of Springfield, Oregon; two grandsons and a granddaughter-in-law, Nathaniel Wilson and Justin and Chelsi Gathright; one granddaughter, Taylyn Wilson; and a great grandson, Steele Gathright.
Graveside funeral services for Mr. Thomas Paul Wilson will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, December 8, 2014 in the Old Union Cemetery, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.
Shirley Ann Martin
Shirley Ann Martin, 76 was born on January 26, 1938 to the home of Curtis and Totsy Good, and passed away on November 25, 2014. She is survived by her children, Jimmy Martin of Tulsa, OK., Janet Irvan of Horatio, AR., and Jerry Martin and wife Tanya, of Seagoville, TX, sister Betty J. Davis of Julian, CA., grandchildren, Ryan Martin, Jason Martin, Jennifer Martin, Robin Pickett, Jamee Robertson, Jordan Martin, and Reggy Irvan. Great-grandchildren, Kyan Martin, Jaden and Jerry Hamilton, Jalyn and Grayson Pickett, Legend Martin, Jett Martin, Parker Wheat, and Palmer Martin. Preceded in death by parents, Curtis and Totsy Good, brothers, Jim Lester and Bill Good, sisters, Bonnie Brown, Lena Golden, Catherine Bernt, and Great-granddaughter, Journee Martin.
Memorial service will be held at Moorhead Epps Funeral Home on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at 12:00 P.M.
John Leonard King
Mr. John Leonard King, age 94, a resident of De Queen, died Friday, December 5, 2014, in Texarkana, Texas.
He was born February 9, 1920, in Crosstrails, Arkansas. Mr. King was a construction superintendent in the Dallas, Texas area for 40 years and returned to his home in De queen after his retirement. He was a World War II army veteran, Masonic Lodge Grand Worshipful Master and a member of The Legacy Center. He was a Dallas Cowboys fan and, in his retirement, became a violin maker. He loved to hunt and fish and enjoyed country and western music. he was also a musician and played in a country band.
Mr. King worked closely with his wife, June, while she was director of the Sevier County Museum, and built the museum Heritage Village.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Vinnie Edmond King and Ruby Alice Gertrude Hedges King, and all 8 of his siblings.
Mr. King is survived by his wife of 72 years, June King; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Dena and Dennis Mercer of Dallas, TX and Judy Hoofman also of Dallas, and Karen and John Davidsaver of Mountain Home, AR; one son and daughter-in-law, John Christopher and Marylyn King of Washington, DC; 8 grandchildren: Matthew Mercer, Josh, Mercer, Jenny Sutherlin, Clint Woodall, John Hoofman, Sam Clay, Natalie King, Julie Anna King; 9 great-grandchildren: Emily Mercer, Brooke Kirkland, Bayleigh Wagoner, Hunter Mercer, Grace Mercer, Gavin Sutherlin, Alan Woodall, Nigel Woodall, and Clovie Hoofman.
Funeral services for Mr. John King will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, December 8, 2014, in the Wilkerson funeral Home Chapel with Chad Gallagher officiating. burial will follow in Smyrna Cemetery in De Queen.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Sunday, December 7th at the funeral home.
