Bonnie Jo Emerson Chandler
Mrs. Bonnie Jo Emerson Chandler, age 82, a resident of De Queen, died Monday, November 17, 2014 in the De Queen Medical Center.
She was born to Louis and Elsie Flournoy Emerson on February 12, 1932 in De Queen, Arkansas. She was an owner and operator of Chapel Hill Store and a homemaker. She enjoyed sewing, flowers and gardening, riding around with her husband Joe and deer hunting.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Joe Chandler and two brothers, Earl David Emerson and Leon Emerson.
She is survived by Three sons and daughters-in-law; Joe Edward and Linda Chandler, Dennis and Patti Chandler and Gaylon and Teresa Chandler all of De Queen. Four Grandsons; Terry Chandler and Wife Tammy of Bryant, Arkansas, Chris Chandler of El Dorado, Arkansas, Nicky Chandler and Wife Jessica of Horatio, Arkansas and Jonathan Chandler and wife Ashlee of De Queen. Four granddaughter; Melissa Threet, and husband Marvin Jr. of De Queen, Natasha Wilson and husband Bryan, Britney Icenhower and husband Jerramy of De Queen and Shasta Guinn and husband Brandon of Horatio, Arkansas and 17 great-grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Bonnie Jo Chandler will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, November 20th in the Chapel Hill Cemetery with Bro. Shane Haarmeyer officiating, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen. The family will receive friends at Chandler Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 19th from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.
Mrs. Wanda Lou Parramore Satterfield
Mrs. Wanda Lou Parramore Satterfield, age 71, a resident of Gillham, Arkansas, died Thursday, November 13th at her home after a long battle with cancer surrounded by her family.
She was born to Leo and Naomi Faye Maynard Parramore in Lubbock, Texas, on October 18, 1943. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Gillham, and was retired from the Sevier County Development Center, as well as homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, crafts, cake decorating, and spending in time with family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and three brothers, Bill Parramore, Denzel Parramore, and Don Parramore.
She is survived by her husband of over 44 years, Burt Satterfield of Gillham, three sons and daughters-in-law, James and Jennifer Satterfield of Dallas, Texas, Ricky and Michelle Satterfield of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Scott Satterfield of Gillham, five daughters and sons-in-law, Angela Allen of Quinlan, Texas, Rhonda and Frank Hutman of Portage, Indiana, Beth and Gus Alvarez of Gillham, Melinda Hanson of Texarkana, Texas, and Mary and Ralph Kirkpatrick of Florida, Two brothers and sisters-in-law, George and Susan Parramore of Lubbock, Texas, Jerry and Sharon Parramore of Houston, Texas, a sister, Virginia McCaleb of San Antonio, Texas, 14 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, a special friend, Frances Johnson of De Queen, and a number of nieces and nephews, as well as a host of friends.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Wanda Satterfield will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, November 17th in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Bob McManus officiating. Burial will follow in the Valley Cemetery, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at Chandler Funeral Home on Sunday, November 16th from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M.
Mr. Larry Gene Boyles
Mr. Larry Gene Boyles, age 65, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas, died Monday, November 10, 2014 in the Christus St. Michael Health System in Texarkana.
He was born to John and Beatrice Ceaser Boyles on May 10, 1949 in De Queen, Arkansas. He was an employee of the DQ TO&E Railroad. He was a member of the Lewis Temple Church of God In Christ in De Queen, and loved riding horses, hunting, fishing and working out at Better Body Fitness Center.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife of over 37 years, Geneva Jones Boyles, a sister, Patricia Powell and three brothers Bo Boyles, Leonard Boyles, and Robert Boyles.
He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Larry, Jr. and Willie Jewel Boyles of Mineral Springs, Arkansas, two daughters and sons-in-law, Penny and Charles Archer of Nashville, Arkansas and Donna and Charles Gulley of Mineral Springs, Arkansas. He is survived by six grandsons, Katro Keels, London Keels, Robby Boyles, Rashad Garland, Timmy Smith, and Andre Hendrix, five granddaughters Nicka Keels, Chloe Graham, Breia Archer, Alasundra Cannon, and Olvia Cannon, two great-grandsons, Kelion Keels and Karter Boyles, and one great-granddaughter, Jynia Boyles. Larry is also survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Jackie and Willie Boyles of De Queen, and a sister Linda Faye Boyles of De Queen.
Funeral services for Mr. Larry Boyles will be held Sunday, November 16th at 2:00 P.M., in the Lewis Temple Church of God In Christ in De Queen with Rev. E.A. Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in the Sand Hill Cemetery, De Queen, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen. The family will receive friends at Chandler Funeral Home on Saturday, November 15th from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.
Mrs. Jenette Ester Swift
Mrs. Jenette Ester Swift, age 65, a resident of Nashville, Arkansas, died Thursday, November 6, 2014 in the St. Vincent Hospital in Hot Springs.
She was born to Rufus and Lujean Jordan Ester on December 8, 1948 in Centerpoint, Arkansas. She was an employee of the Howard County Revenue Office, and a homemaker. She was a member of the New Testament House of Prayer in Nashville, and enjoyed fishing and flowers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Finis Ray Dixon and Rufus Ester, Jr.
She is survived by her husband, Lawrence Swift of Nashville, Arkansas, two sons and a daughter-in-law, Larry Boyles, Jr. and Willie Jewel of Mineral Springs, Ark. and Lawrence Swift, Jr of Nashville, Arkansas, six daughters and sons-in-law, LaFrieda Swift and Ricky Burns, LaTrenda and Charles Archer, LaQuita and Vincent Murry, all of Nashville, LaDonna and Charles Gulley of Mineral Springs, Tiyonna “Peek a Boo” Garland of Nashville, and Brittany Marshall of Houston, Texas, four brothers and sisters-in-law, Prescott and Marie Hendrix of Lockesburg, Mike and Lorene Hendrix of Nashville, Ronnie and Sophie Hendrix of Flint, Michigan, and Mike and Wanda Sue Ester of Nashville, Ark.; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Connie and Walter Swift of Nashville, Sherry Lynn and Patrick Grant of De Queen, Sue Ester of Mineral Springs, and Gloria and Eddie Northcross of Ashdown, a sister-in-law, Wanda Swift of Nashville, and a number of grandchildren.

Thomas Olan "Tommy" Cosper
Thomas Olan"Tommy" Cosper, 87 of Horatio, Arkansas and formerly of Edna, TX passed away Monday, November 10, 2014 peacefully from his earthly home to his home with his Lord and Savior. His passion was to serve others unselfishly and for sharing God's Word in hope that others would experience the same joy that he had for his Lord Jesus Christ.
He was born October 17, 1927 to the late FLoyd Olan"Dick" and Verbey Cosper of Edna, TX Tommy served in the army during World War II. He worked for Mobil Oil in Texas & Louisiana and on rigs in the Gulf of Mexico. Upon retirement, he moved to Arkansas and began his active life as a cattleman. He was a member of the Williamson Baptist Church of Horatio, AR.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Lois Maxey Cosper and wife, Mildred Cantrell Cosper; son, Ronald Bruce Tate and brother, Richard Wells Cosper.
Tommy is survived by his sisters, Evelyn Wallace of New Summerfield, TX, Elizabeth Lopez of Edna, TX, brother, John Cosper and wife, Diana of Wharton, TX, sister-in-law, Barbara Cosper of Edna, TX, step-daughter, Sandra Hahn and husband Johnny of Edna, TX, step-sons, Thomas Cantrell and wife Janet of Horatio, AR, Teddy Ray Machicek, grandson, Ronald Bruce Tate, Jr. and wife Kathryn of Benicia, CA., step-granddaughter, Andrea Cantrell Young and husband Matt, step-grandsons, Wesley Cantrell, Keith Hahn, and Teddy Ray Machicek, Jr., Billy and Justin Machicek, great grandchildren, Ronald Bruce III, Charlie and Maximus Tate, step-great-grandchildren, Brian and Amy Hahn, numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm Thursday, November 13, 2014 at Slavik Funeral Home in Edna, TX. Funeral Service will be held at 10 am Friday, November 14, 2014 in the chapel of Slavik Funeral Home with Brother Robert Krause officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Edna, TX

Wallace Southworth
Wallace Southworth of De Queen, Arkansas, died at age 90 in Little River Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Ashdown, Arkansas on November 10, 2014. He was born February 16, 1924, in Chapel Hill, Arkansas.
He was the son of William and Lois McClanahan Southworth, and the oldest of six brothers. Wallace attended school in De Queen before enlisting in the Marine Corps in 1942. Upon returning to civilian life, he met and married Betty Hall of De Queen. Both Wallace and Betty attended Magnolia A. and M. College (now Southern Arkansas University). He went on to the University of Arkansas, graduating with a degree in Chemical Engineering. Wallace spent his entire career working for Phillips Petroleum Company at various locations: Cactus, Texas; Pasadena, Texas; Bartlesville, Oklahoma; and Borger, Texas. Wallace and Betty returned to De Queen after retirement, where they both joined the First Presbyterian Church. This was the church Betty attended while growing up in De Queen. Her father, Eugene Hall, was an active member. Wallace continued his lifelong interests in nature and learning. Always physically fit, he frequently completed mile long walks through the neighborhood.
Devoted to his family, Wallace is survived by three daughters, three sons-in-law and eight grandchildren: Carin and Scott Sharp of Cambridge, Massachusetts with children Ryan and Lauren; Jill and Tom Stables of Derby, Kansas with children Collin, Jordan and Aaron; Jennifer and Todd Everheart of Mansfield, Texas with children Sara, Zachary and Joshua. Two brothers, Dan and Gaines Southworth of Chapel Hill, Arkansas, along with numerous nieces and nephews, also survive him.
Betty Hall Southworth, his wife of 63 years, predeceased him in 2010. His brothers Max, Billy and Perry Southworth, and an infant sister, Marilyn, also predecease him.
Funeral services for Mr. Southworth will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 15, 2014, in the First Presbyterian Church in De Queen with Ralph Burns officiating. Burial will follow in the Redmen Cemetery, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday, November 14th at the First Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Bernice Bayless Regnier
Mrs. Bernice Bayless Regnier, age 89, a resident of Horatio, Arkansas, died Saturday, November 8, 2014 in the Waldron Nursing Center.
She was born July 26, 1925 in Walnut Springs, Arkansas. She was a retired educator, having worked in the Cove, Horatio and De Queen School Systems, and was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church in Horatio.
Mrs. Regnier was preceded in death by her parents, Cyrus Calvin and Bess Stafford Bayless; her husband, James T. Regnier; and two sisters, Helen Jones and Eva Ray.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, James C. and Madge Regnier of Waldron, Arkansas; one daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and Daryl Gibson of Willis, Texas; two grandsons and granddaughters-in-law, Dylan and Tricia Lewis of Austin, Texas and Lucas and Anna Regnier of Fayetteville, Arkansas; two granddaughters and a grandson-in-law, Elizabeth and Darren Senior of The Woodlands, Texas and Courtney Grill of Wisconsin; 9 great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 11, 2014 in the Horatio Cemetery with Rev. Phil Smith officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday, November 10, 2014 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church in Horatio.
