Barbara Jean Poindexter
Barbara Jean Poindexter, age 76, a resident of Gillham, Arkansas, passed away on Sunday, September 7, 2014, at her home.
She was born July 6, 1938 in Warren, Ohio. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Gillham.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Richard Sager and Lauretta Sphar and one brother, Jimmy Thompson.
She is survived by three daughters, Lauretta Aragon of Clay Springs, Arizona, Reva Kitchens of Gillham and Sandra Scott of Grannis; two sons, Jimmy Ray Pollard of Grannis and Jessie Ray Pollard of Gillham; one brother, Richard Sager, Jr.; two sisters, Dora McEdward and Carey McLaughin; 19 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great- grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service for Barbara will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 11, 2014 in the First Baptist Church of Gillham with Bro. Homer Frachiseur officiating.

Mrs. Martha Joyce Willbanks
Mrs. Martha Joyce Willbanks, age 58, a resident of Texarkana, Arkansas, died Friday, September 5, 2014, in Little Rock, Arkansas.
She was born April 10, 1956 in Adrian, Georgia. She was a bus driver for Texarkana, Arkansas School District; she enjoyed family time, family vacations, loved cooking family dinners, loved helping others and enjoyed seeing them happy.
Mrs. Willbanks was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Mary Chalker McDonald; daughter, Amanda Wooley; brother, Harold McDonald, Jr.; sister, Mary Nell Dickerson; sister-in-law, Linda McDonald and a son-in-law, Regie Williams.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Willbanks of Texarkana; two daughters, Karen Denton and Mary Denton of Texarkana; three grandchildren, Adonta and ShaKayla Starks and TyKwon Williams all of Texarkana; one great grandson, Rashaad Starks of Texarkana; one brother and sister-in law, Rickey and Yvonne McDonald of Georgia; four sisters and three brothers-in-law, Susan and Steve Kelly, Patricia and Mike Fuqua and Lisa McDonald all of Georgia and Sandra and Michael Sweeten of Texarkana; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Willbanks will be held at 4:15 p.m., Monday, September 8, 2014 in the Lewis Temple Church of God in De Queen, Arkansas with Rev. E.A. Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in the Redmen Cemetery, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.
The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 p.m., Monday, September 8th at the funeral home.
Mrs. Glenda Darlene Frachiseur Stark
Mrs. Glenda Darlene Frachiseur Stark, age 68, a resident of De Queen, died Monday, September 1, 2014, at her home.
She was born December 19, 1945 in Mineral Wells, Texas. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.
Mrs. Stark was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Emma Clepper Frachiseur.
She is survived by her husband, Raymond Stark; two daughters and a son-in-law, Teresa Marin of Corpus Christi, Texas and Cristy and Jim Petrishen of De Queen; six grandchildren, Stephanie Neal, Kayla Schatzl, Shelby Harder, Logan, Ryan and Jimmy Petrishen; and one sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Jack Jones of Grannis, Arkansas.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 4, 2014, in the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. George Frachiseur officiating.
Mr. Lloyd Ray Kirkpatrick
Mr. Lloyd Ray Kirkpatrick, a resident of Gillham, Arkansas, died Thursday, August 28th from injuries received in an automobile accident.
He was born on August 29, 1947 in Springfield, Illinois. He was a retired brick mason, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Ray Kirkpatrick of Houston, Texas, and James and Debbie Reincke of Salem, Illinois, four daughters and sons-in-law, Linda Craig and Lora Love both of Springfield, Illinois, Melissa and Shane Dempsey of Reading, Kansas, and Debbie and David Jourdan of Centralia, Illinois, three brothers, Vic Howlett of Springfield, Illinois,Danny Kirkpatrick of Ozark, Missouri, and Mike Kirkpatrick of Cleveland, Texas, one sister, Sunday Jackson of San Leon, Texas, seventeen grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation for Mr. Ray Kirkpatrick will be held at Sunday, August 30, 2014 at the Chandler Funeral Home from 1:00 to 3:00 P.M. Cremation will follow.
Robert Michael, “Mike”, McKinney
Robert Michael, “Mike”, McKinney, died on Monday, August 25, 2014, aged 47.
Mike was born in Shreveport Louisiana, July 17, 1967, growing up and spending his childhood in De Queen, Arkansas. While attending college at the University of Texas in Arlington he met his beloved wife, Judy. Mike was President and CEO of his company, comHAUS, a marketing communications firm that he founded in 1999. He was a firm believer that communications and education could be delivered to any individual, any time, any place, and in any media. He spent his professional life bringing that vision into reality. He was a recognized expert in his field and served as a keynote speaker for numerous national conferences and seminars.
Mike is survived by his wife, Judy Renton McKinney; two daughters, Ashley Lorin Nicole and Suzanna Michelle of McKinney, Texas; his father and stepmother, Don and Martha McKinney of De Queen, Arkansas; his brother, Gregory Sutton Crofts of De Queen; his sister, Donna Lawheed of Virginia Beach, Virginia;` his mother and stepfather, Patricia Reinheimer and Buddy Harp of Holly Lake Ranch, Texas.
Mike was preceded in death by his brother, Don “Hoss” McKinney, Jr.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 30, 2014 in the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Ed Eads officiating. Cremation will follow.
The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m., until service time on Saturday at the funeral home.
He will be remembered with love by many.
Walter Anglin Vaughn
Mr. Walter Anglin Vaughn, age 68, a resident of Horatio, Arkansas died Sunday, August 24, 2014 at his home.
He was born July 29, 1946 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. He worked construction and was an ordained chaplain and preacher. He attended the Mt. Phoebia Baptist Church and the Solid Rock Full Gospel Church in Horatio and was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in Vietnam.
Mr. Vaughn was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard Walter and Nellie May Lowery Vaughn; and a number of brothers.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Wilburn Vaughn of Horatio; three brothers, Vernon Vaughn and Jessie Vaughn, both of De Queen, Arkansas, and Elton Vaughn of Ardmore, Oklahoma; two sisters, Sally Diez of Elkin, South Carolina and Ruth Ann Vaughn of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services for Mr. Vaughn will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 27, 2014 in the Redmen Cemetery with Rev. Davis officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.
Mrs. Artie V. Parrish
Mrs. Artie V. Parrish, age 87, a resident of Pine Bluff, Arkansas died, Wednesday, August 20, 2014 in the Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff.
She was born October 17, 1926 in Alpine, Arkansas. She was a daughter of the late Arlie and Lela Buck Francis of Alpine. She received a master’s degree in education from Henderson State University. She taught 4th grade at Amity and White Hall, Arkansas for a total of 36 years. She retired from Moody Elementary in 1985. She loved teaching, children, flowers and working in her yard.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Miller Parrish; one brother, two sisters, and her great grandson, Leighton Burrer.
She is survived by one son, Kyle Parrish of Pine Bluff; two grandchildren, Mike Parrish of Pine Bluff and Michelle Parrish of Houston, Texas; three great granddaughters; three great-great grandsons; two brothers, Darrell Francis of Amity and Lynn Francis of Glenwood, Arkansas; three sisters, Ida Faye Nottingham of Amity, Helen Neighbors of Amity, Cleta Baratta of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Parrish will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 23, 2014 in the Old Center Cemetery with Jerry Fagan officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.
