Mr. Ronnie Jones
Mr. Ronald Douglas “Ronnie” Jones, also known as “Grandbuddy”, age 72, a resident of Lockesburg, Arkansas, died Wednesday, July 2nd at his home.
He was born to James Douglas and Marie Saxon Jones in Delta, Ohio, on January 10, 1942. He was a veteran of Vietnam War, serving in the Air Force, and was owner of Baker’s Saw Shop and Grocery, as well as a farmer. Mr. Jones was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, De Queen, and a member of the Volunteer Fire and Rescue in Lockesburg. He enjoyed being an airplane pilot, hunting, four wheeling, motorcycles, mudding, horse riding, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his parents, a brother-in-law, Jim Bellamy, and a sister-in-law, Brenda Proctor Baker.
He is survived by his wife of over 51 years, Iona Baker Jones of Lockesburg, a daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Mark Freeze of Lockesburg, two sons and daughters-in-law, Rodney and Jennifer Jones of Lockesburg, Chad and Joyannah Jones of Traverse City, Michigan, seven grandchildren, Scott, and his wife, Karah Freeze of Lockesburg, Chance and his wife, Hallie Freeze of Idabel, OK, Jabin Freeze, Bailey Jones, Carly Jones all of Lockesburg, Javan Jones and Ruby Jones of Traverse City, MI, two brothers and sisters-in-law, Russell and Pam Jones of Russellville, KY, Terry and Debbie Jones of Covington, LA, two sisters and brothers-in-law, Pat and John Reynolds of Noblesville, IN, and Jeannie and Ray Pellet of Paducah, KY, his in-laws, Eddie and LeaEta Polk, and Reese Baker all of Lockesburg, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mr. Ronnie Jones will be held in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, De Queen, on Saturday, July 5, 2014 at 2:00 P.M., with Jerry Brazeal and Bobby Walker officiating. Burial will follow in the Belleville Cemetery, Lockesburg, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen. The family will receive friends at Chandler Funeral Home on Friday, July 4th from 5:00 to 7:30 P.M.
Mr. Ruel Pat Archer
Mr. Ruel Pat Archer, age 88, a resident of De Queen, died Monday, June 30, 2014 in Brookewood Nursing and Rehab in De Queen.
He was born February 28, 1926 in Ultimuthule, OK. He was a farmer, businessman, former owner of the Western Auto in De Queen and served in the U.S. Army Infantry during WWII where he received the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. He was a deacon at First Baptist Church in De Queen, a 32nd degree Mason, a member of the Sweet Home Masonic Lodge #461, a Shriner and an avid hunter and fisherman.
Mr. Archer was preceded in death by his parents, Jerome A. and Mary Estella Cox Archer; one brother, Willis Dale Archer; and two sisters, Juanita Barnett and Lily Bell Jeter.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Irene Stephens Archer; one son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Marilyn Archer, one daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Norley Bickley, all of De Queen; one brother, C.A. Archer of Arkadelphia, AR; one sister, Imogene Graves of Dierks, AR; four grandchildren, Meredith Archer, Mark Archer, Natalie Dickey and Neida Griffin; 7 great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services for Mr. Archer will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 3, 2014 in the Redmen Cemetery with Randy Davis officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund.
Deborah Lee Reynolds Thompson
Deborah Lee Reynolds Thompson, age 61, a resident of Horatio, Arkansas, died Tuesday, June 24, 2014 in De Queen Medical Center.
She was born September 30, 1952 in Lexington, KY. She was a school bus driver for Paradise Valley School District in Phoenix, AZ and a customer service manager for Walmart.
Mrs. Thompson was preceded in death by her parents, Basil Earl and Vina Marie Williams Reynolds and one brother, Richard Carter Reynolds.
She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Tammy and Rick Clark of Lockesburg, AR and Pattie Butler of Horatio, AR; one son, Tommy “Bo” Thompson of Phoenix, AZ; one brother, Michael Reynolds of AZ; three sisters, Susie Arning of IN, Cindy Peters of IA and Kathleen Evans of AZ; 17 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces, nephews, friends and her 5 dogs.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Cledith B. Hackworth Wilcher Glenn
Mrs. Cledith B. Hackworth Wilcher Glenn, age 74, a resident of Wickes, Arkansas, died Monday, June 23rd in Christus St. Michael Hospital, Texarkana, Texas.
She was born to Richard and Bertha Shaw Hackworth in Crowder, Oklahoma, on July 31, 1939. She was a USDA inspector, working in the Tyson Grannis Plant. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Wickes, Arkansas, and enjoyed working, crocheting, cooking, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Dennis Glen Wilcher, a grandson, Shawn Wilcher, and her siblings, Bill Hackworth, Edith Clark, and Jerry Lee Hackworth.
She is survived by her husband, Joe Glenn of Wickes, two sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy D. and Sandra Wilcher of Wickes, and Raymond and Sharon Wilcher, all of Wickes, a daughter and son-in-law, Denise and Bob Piearcy of Mena, Arkansas, a step-son, Steve Edward Hedrick of Vandervoort, Ark., five grandchildren, Jennifer Gabourel , Jessica Glasgow, Stacy Wilcher, Sydney Wilcher, and Jon Tidwell, twelve great-grandchildren, and a special friend, Sue Thompson of Wickes. Funeral Services for Mrs. Cledith Wilcher Glenn will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 26, 2014, in the Wickes Pentecostal Church of God with Rev. Scott Ray and Rev. Chris Burke officiating. Burial will follow in the Daniel Cemetery, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen. The family will receive friends at Chandler Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 25th from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.
Duayne “Windy” Loyd
Duayne “Windy” Loyd, age 63, of Plunketville, Oklahoma passed away Friday, June 20, 2014 in Little Rock, Arkansas.
He was born January 27, 1951 in DeQueen, Arkansas to A.P. Loyd and Minnie Mae Heaton Loyd. Duayne was a truck driver in the Transportation Industry. He was a loving and kind father, step-father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and a friend to all who knew him. He will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his son, Windal Loyd of Plunketville, Oklahoma; five Step-children, David Standridge of Malvern, Arkansas, J. D. Standridge of California, Cecil Redd of Kilgore, Texas, Cathy Brinley, Spiro Oklahoma, and Sharon Dosch of Washington; six brothers, Udell Loyd of Grannis, Arkansas, Odell Loyd of Wickes, Arkansas, Donny Loyd of Grannis, Arkansas, Gary Loyd of Wickes, Arkansas Johnny Loyd of Grannis, Arkansas, andBilly Loyd of Cove, Arkansas; one sister, Jerri Burch of Wollett, Texas; eleven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, A.P. and Minnie Loyd, sister, Joann Calicoat, son Vernon Loyd and step-son, Travis Redd.
Funeral services will be Saturday, June 28, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Baker Rock Church at Wickes. Interment follows at Baker Cemetery under the direction of the Beasley Wood Funeral Home. Visitation will be general.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Smith, John Jordan, Eddie Ludlow, Leon Evans, Gary Rose, and John Loyd. Honorary pallbearer is Harvey Bruce.
Molly Kay Morris
Molly Kay Morris, age 68, of Jacksonville, TX, passed away Thursday June 19, 2014 in Jacksonville.
She was born September 7, 1945 in Jacksonville.
Molly worked as a Med. Aid/CAN in the healthcare industry and was a member of Craft Baptist church in Jacksonville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Morris; parents J.E. and Inez Chandler; and a brother, Sammy Chandler.
Survivors include her daughters, Kelly James and husband Kenneth of Jacksonville; Connie Baker of Gillham, AR; sons, Ronnie Lewis and wife Janet of Carrollton, Mike Minter and wife Rehana of Rusk, John Morris and wife Jana of Jacksonville, sister, Sally Breedlove of Ramsaur, NC; brother, Randy Chandler and wife Nellie of Jacksonville, sister-in-law, Earlene Chandler of Gallatin; 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Tristan Lewis, Chasdon Rawlinson, Keven Hill, Eddie Birdwell, Carlos Santiago, Sammy Morris, and David Goodson.
Visitation will begin on Sunday, June 22, 2014 with family receiving friends from 6-8p.m. at Autry Funeral Home in Jacksonville. Funeral services for Molly Kay Morris are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Monday, June 23, 2014 at Autry Funeral Home Chapel in Jacksonville with Brother Donny Sadler officiating. Interment will be at Jarratt Cemetery in Jacksonville.
Jaime Garcia
Jaime Garcia, age 15, a resident of Athens, Arkansas died Thursday, June 19, 2014 in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
He was born April 17, 1999 in Oaxaca, Mexico. He was a student at Umpire School where he was on the basketball and track teams, and was a member of the Athens Missionary Baptist Church.
Jaime is survived by his parents, Genaro Garcia and Bernardina Reyes; one brother, Yahir Garcia; and a sister, Selena Garcia.
Funeral services for Jaime will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 22, 2014 in the Athens Family Life Center with Scott Kitchens and Bernabe Diaz officiating. Burial will follow in the Athens Cemetery, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.
