Mr. Cecil John Pond
Mr. Cecil John Pond, age 85, a resident of Foreman, Arkansas, died Friday, March 7, 2014, in the Little River Memorial Hospital in Ashdown, Arkansas.
Mr. Pond was born September 26, 1928 in Ben Lomond, Arkansas. He was a retired truck driver, avid sportsman and a member of the Crossroads Baptist Church.
Mr. Pond is survived by his wife, Margie F. Pond of Ashdown; two sons and daughter-in-law, Steven W. and Dee Pond of Winthrop, Arkansas and Russell J. Pond of Holidayburg, Pennsylvania; three grandchildren, Alisha Pond, Taylor Pond and Dr. Tanya Pond and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Pond will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 11, 2014, in the Crossroads Baptist Church with Gary Steiner officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen. Cremation will follow.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 11th at the Crossroads Baptist Church
Mr. Walter “Walt” Ernest Gregory
Mr. Walter “Walt” Ernest Gregory, age 65, a resident of Foreman, Arkansas, died Friday, March 7, 2014, in Overton Brooks VA Medical Center in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Mr. Gregory was born November 12, 1948 in Ashdown, Arkansas. He was a retired truck driver, a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran having received several awards including a purple heart; he enjoyed hunting and was a Baptist.
He was preceded in death by his father, Roy E. Gregory Sr.; one brother, Ronnie Gregory and one grandchild, Nathaniel.
He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Golden Gregory; his mother, Pauline Brummett Gregory of Foreman; five daughters, Linda Easton of, Laramie, Wyoming, Beverly Jensen of Sheridan, Arkansas, Trinette Wells and Marsha Menke both of Bridgeport, Nebraska and Denise Gregory of Winthrop, Arkansas; five sons, Walt Schaefer of Hillsdale, Wyoming, Danny Gregory of Searcy, Arkansas, Douglas Gregory of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Scotty Gregory of Little Rock, Arkansas and Dallas Gregory of Ashdown, Arkansas; two brothers, Roy Gregory, Jr. of Foreman and Ricky Gregory of Colorado; one sister, Shirley Posey of Foreman; 25 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services for Mr. Gregory will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 10, 2014, in the Gravelly Cemetery with Gary Steiner officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.
The family will receive friends from 3:00-5:00 p.m., Sunday, March 9th at the funeral home.
Naomi Revels Hale
Naomi Revels Hale, age 99, passed away Thursday, March 6, 2014 at De Queen Medical Center.
Naomi was born June 25, 1914 to Julia Hinsley Revels and Luther Revels at Red Colony, Sevier County, Arkansas. She married Reese Hale, of the Rock Hill community, on December 24, 1933. They established a home at Rock Hill and celebrated 52 years of marriage before Mr. Hale’s death on September 9, 1986. She maintained their home for 79 years, rejoicing in family visits and reunions, until her recent hospitalization and death.
Naomi was salutatorian of Lockesburg High School, Class of 1934, and an active member of Lockesburg Methodist Church. She was awarded the "Oldest Female in Sevier County" plaque in both 2012 and 2013.
Mrs. Hale is survived by three children: Ronald Edwin Hale (Kay Lamb) of Bryan, TX; Janice Reese Hale Barbo (Paul Barbo) of Espanola, NM; and Larry Walter Hale (Cindy Coulter) of De Queen, Arkansas. Also surviving her are 10 grandchildren: Ronnie Hale, Randy Hale, Richie Hale, Kerri Hale Rothell, Liz Wallis Layden, Jamai Wallis Blivin, Reesa Wallis Thorne, Kimberly Hale Harris, Myra Katherine Hale and Gregory Hale, and 23 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Gregory Hale, Richie Hale, Randy Hale, Ronnie Hale, Dave Rothell, Mark Harris, Ed Revels and Greg Revels.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Hale will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, March 10, 2014, in Lockesburg First United Methodist Church with Terry Chapman and Wesley Blankenship officiating. Burial will follow in the Lockesburg Cemetery, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.
The family will receive friends from 5:30-7:30 p.m., Sunday, March 9th at the funeral home.
Eleuteria Del Angel
Eleuteria Del Angel, age 57, a resident of De Queen, died Wednesday, March 5, 2014, at her home.
She was born March 3, 1957, in Mexico. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Dionisio Del Angel; three daughters, Antonia Del Angel, Anna Marie Del Angel and Dianna Del Angel; one son, Dion W. Del Angel all of De Queen; her father, Santiago Martinez Hernandez; her mother, Antonia Hernandez; three brothers, Pedro Martinez Hernandez, Miguel Martinez Hernandez and Eleuterio Martinez Hernandez; three sisters, Michaele Martinez Hernandez, Juana Martinez Hernandez and Maria Martinez Hernandez all of Mexico; 2 grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service for Mrs. Del Angel will be held at 3:30 p.m., Saturday, March 8, 2014, in Angels Baptist Church in De Queen with Pete Nunez officiating.

Bonnie Fay Fryar
Bonnie Fay Fryar, age 81, of Vernon, Texas, passed away Monday, March 3, 2014 in Vernon.
Bonnie was born Monday, October 10, 1932 in Caddo, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of the late John French and the late Naomi Fay Roberts French. She married I.V. Fryar in 1950 he preceded her in death in 1998. She had lived in Vernon for the past six years moving here from Mena, Ark. She had worked for 20 years at Queen Wilhelmina State Park in Mena, Ark. She was a Baptist.
She is survived by: Four Daughters: Mary Davis of Mena, AR.; Dottie Davis of Booneville, AR.; Goldie Voelkel of Vernon, TX. Fay Frachiseur of Grannis, AR, Three Sons: Russell Fryar of Mena, AR., I.V. Fryar, Jr. of Mena, AR., William Fryar of Mena, AR.; One Brother: Johnny Ray French of Willcox, AZ., Fourteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and a son Ray Fryar and two sisters Ladella Allison, Doris Stratton.
Funeral services will be held March 7, 2014 at 10:00 AM at Beasley-Wood Funeral Home Chapel in Mena, Ark. under the arrangement of Sullivan Funeral Home, Vernon, TX. Officiating will be Rev. Roger Bishop. Interment will be held at Foster Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 6, 2014 at 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Beasley-Wood Funeral Home.

Archie Dale Jones
Archie Dale Jones, age 89, a resident of Dierks, Arkansas, died Monday, March 3, 2014, in Howard Memorial Hospital in Nashville, Arkansas.
He was born April 4, 1924, in Howard County, Arkansas. He was a retired Millwright for Weyerhaeuser, a member of the Missionary Baptist Church and a World War II Army veteran.
Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his parents, McDuff and Anna Burk Jones.
Mr. Jones is survived by his wife, Ila Grace Short Jones; two sons, Archie Jones, Jr. and Michael Frank Jones all of Dierks; one sister, Essie Stinnett of Nashville, AR; two grandsons, Jerry Jones and Gary Jones and 8 great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Grace Jones, Tracy dawn Jones, Tyler Matthew Jones, Aaron Jones, Amy Jones, Megan Brooke Glover, Jeremy Ray Glover and Lorenzo Mayson Rabadon.

Mrs. Oma Faye Vann
Mrs. Oma Faye Ensey Vann, age 70, a resident of Gillham, Arkansas, died Monday, March 3rd at Dierks Health and Rehab, Dierks, Arkansas.
She was born to Alexander and Gertie Combs Ensey in Ringold, Oklahoma on January 16, 1943. She was a homemaker and enjoyed fishing, hunting, cooking, gardening, and being outdoors.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of over 36 years, Phillip Vann; three brothers, Clarence Ensey, Roy Ensey, and Warren Ensey; one sister, Isabell Ashford.
Oma Faye is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Denise and John Sparks, along with two grandchildren, Jessica and Tyler Sparks, all of Grannis, Arkansas. She is also survived by two sisters and one brother-in-law, Pauline Wadley of Harrah, Oklahoma, and Wanda and Bill Costiloe of Harrah, Oklahoma; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Truman and Peggy Ensey of Oklahoma City and Roger Ensey of Ringold, Oklahoma.
