Galdina Gonzalez Rivera
Galdina Gonzalez Rivera, age 80, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas died Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at her home.
She was born April 18, 1933 in Mexico to Amado Gonzalez and Anita Rivera. She was a Catholic.
She is survived by two daughters, Olivia Ruiz of De Queen and Elva Castro of Mexico City, Mexico; one brother, Manuel Maldonado; three sisters, Eulalia Gonzalez, Rosa Garnica and Martha Garnica, all of Mexico City; four grandchildren, Oscar Castro, Tania Ruiz and Diego Ruiz, all of Mexico City, Andrea Ruiz and Yaiden Ruiz, both of De Queen.
Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 19, 2014 in the St. Barbara Catholic Church with Father Eddy D’Almeida officiating. Burial followed in the Redmen Cemetery, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.
William Richard "Bill" Weems
Mr. William Richard “Bill” Weems, age 88, a resident of Dierks, Arkansas, died Tuesday, February 18, 2014, in Nashville, Arkansas.
He was born April 2, 1925 in Dierks. He was a laundry supervisor and attended the First Assembly of God Church in Dierks.
Mr. Weems was preceded in death by his parents, William Cooper and Nettie Robert Smith Weems; his wife, Helen Weems; three brothers and one sister.
He is survived by two sons, Ricky Don Weems and Ronnie Weems; one daughter, Billie Rue Weems, all of Oregon; one grandchild, Jennifer and her husband; one great grandson; one sister, Josie Eudy of Dierks; and a number of nieces, nephews and friends.
Graveside Funeral Services for Mr. Weems will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 20, 2014 the Sunshine Cemetery in Dierks with J.W. Gilbert officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in Dierks.
Viewing will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home in Dierks.
Hildred Grenita Gray
Hildred Grenita Gray, age 71, a resident of Nashville, Arkansas, died Monday, February 17, 2014 in Mercy Medical Center in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
She was born February 7, 1943 in Winthrop, Arkansas. She was the first female truck driver for Sevier County Road Department and was a Christian.
Mrs. Gray was preceded in death by her parents, John Lionel and Pearlie Mae Milam Briggs and one daughter, Amanda Merworth.
She is survived by her husband, Larry Gray; two sons and daughters-in-law, Danny and Angelica Fatheree of Nashville, AR and Allen and Lavene Briggs of Grannis, AR; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Dedee Williamson and Glenda and Ray Stinnett all of De Queen, AR, Krystel and Tim Norman of Wickes, AR; two sisters, Kay Canada of Booneville, AR and Thelma Harberson of Lockesburg, AR; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service for Mrs. Gray will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 23, 2014 in the Geneva Missionary Baptist Church with Travis Lane officiating.

Frances Carlene Ward
Mrs. Frances Carlene Ward, age 84, a resident of Dierks, Arkansas died Saturday, February 15, 2014 at the Dierks Health and Rehab.
She was born December 15, 1929 in Gurdon, Arkansas. She was a home health aide, a Baptist; she enjoyed flowers, gardening and hard work.
Mrs. Ward was preceded by her husband, Charles Ward; parents, Carl and Sally Lenora Whitlock Forthman.
She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca “Becky” Pharr of Nashville, Arkansas; one son, Joe Scott of Junction City, Tennessee; five grandchildren, Carla Crawford, Christy Pharr, Eric Boykin, Chris Scott and Shawn Scott.

Robert Charles White
Mr. Robert Charles White, age 71, a resident of De Queen, died Thursday, February 13, 2014 at his home.
He was born to James Alfred and Grace Louise Leady White in Gary Indiana on January 31, 1943. He served in the military with the U. S. Marines, and was a retired disc-jockey.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Scott Allen and Marcie White of Indianola, Iowa, two brothers, John White of Charlotte, North Carolina, and William White of Atlanta, Georgia, two sisters, Bonnie Lawrence and Susan White both of Charlotte, North Carolina, and number of nieces and nephews.
Private memorial services will be at a later date.
Mrs. Donna Mae Williams Wolcott
Mrs. Donna Mae Williams Wolcott, age 58, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas, died Tuesday, February 11, 2014 in a Fort Smith Hospital.
She was born in Texas, on August 27, 1955. She was a former employee of Poulan Home Products, as well as a homemaker. She was a member of the Beacon Hill Seventh Day Adventist Church, and enjoyed needle point, reading, computers, and Facebook.
She is survived by her husband of over 34 years, Hershal Wolcott of De Queen, two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael Ray and April Wolcott of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Lloyd Wayne and Melissa Wolcott of Fort Smith, Arkansas, two grandchildren, Brandon Wolcott and Aaron Wolcott of Fort Smith. She is also survived by her husband’s family, two brothers-in-law, Leonard and his wife, Cathy Wolcott of North Pole, Alaska, and Wayne and his wife, Carrie Wolcott of Cleburne, Texas, two sisters-in-law, Wanda Faye and her husband, Dwight Blackwell of Grandview, Texas, and Gail Davis of Keene, Texas, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Donna Wolcott will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, February 15th in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Newman Hance officiating. Burial will follow in the
Beacon Hill Cemetery, De Queen, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen on Friday, February 14th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM
Jerry Bryce Scott
Jerry Bryce Scott, age 78, of Cove, Arkansas passed Saturday, February 8, 2014 at his home.
He was born November 02, 1935 to the late Gilford Jefferson Scott and the late Bernice LaDonna Lance Scott. Jerry married Shirley Milam on August 6, 1986 and was a member of the Cove First Baptist Church. He worked for Tyson as a Cooperation Manager and was a lifelong rancher. Jerry was a Mason with the Masonic Lodge in Hatfield. He loved his family, and sitting on his “coon dog” and visiting with friends about the “good old days”. He will be missed dearly by all.
He is survived by his wife: Shirley Scott of the home; Sons: Dewayne Scott of Cove, Arkansas and Bill Barrett of Vandervoort, Arkansas
Dwight Barrett of Vandervoort, Arkansas; Daughters: Debbie Scott of Cove, Arkansas, Gale Kuykendall of Vandervoort, Arkansas, Peggy Sherrouse of Cove, Arkansas, and Eileen Tuttle of Nashville, Arkansas; Brother: Terry Scott and wife Joan of Cove, Arkansas; Sister: Mary Jean Hazel of Shreveport, Louisiana; Special friend: Frances Jewell of Cove, Arkansas; 19 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gip and Bernice Scott, first wife, Mary Jo Scott and grandson, Billy Gene Barrett.
Graveside services will be Wednesday, February 12, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Cove, Arkansas with Brother Donnie Jewell officiating under the direction of Beasley Wood Funeral Home of Mena.
Family and friends visitation will be Tuesday, February 11, 2014, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Travis Miller, Jody Miller, Kenny Miller, Jr., Kenny Miller, Sr., George Manning, and Roger Wilson.
Honorary pallbearers are Gerald Land, Earl Ricks, Don Youngblood, and Paul Rocha.
