Cheryl L. Murchison
Cheryl Lynn Murchison, 51, of Nashville, died Wednesday, April 7, 2005, at her home.
She was born August 4, 1953, the daughter of Leo and Lillie Presley Roberts.
She is survived by one son, Jeremy Murchison and wife, Jeannette, of Ashdown, AR; one daughter, Marcy Farmer and husband, Terry, of Wilton, AR; one brother; four sisters; seven grandchildren; one-grandson and two good friends, Jan Mixon and Joe Ed Ayers.
Graveside services are scheduled for 1:00 P.M., Saturday, April 9, at Old Center cemetery, near Horatio, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Nashville.
Linnie Maude Gaddis
Linnie Maude Gaddis, 90, of Dierks, died Monday, April 4, 2005, at a Nashville hospital. She was born February 25, 1915, at Athens, Arkansas, the daughter of John and Lela Hogg. She was a Baptist and attended Fellowship Church in Dierks. She was a housewife and mother.
Mrs. Gaddis was preceded in death by her parents, two grandsons, Ricky Berry and Chris Fox; three brothers, Lindle Hogg, Joe Hogg and Bill Hogg.
She is survived by her husband, Vernon Gaddis, they would have been married
70 years August 23rd, 2005; daughter, Ernie and son-in-law, Bruce Berry of Dolores, CO, and children, Lisa, Charles and Perry; son, Kenneth and daughter-in-law, Carolyn Gaddis of Sheridan, AR, and children, Travis, Justin and Wesley; daughter, Eleanor and son-in-law, Choc Fox, of Cortez, CO, and children, Ray and Venessa; daughter, Deborah and son-in-law, Charlie Reel, of Dierks, AR, and children, Chuck and LeAnn; special friend, John David and Ronda Powers; eleven great-grandchildren an a host of special nieces and nephews.
Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Friday, April 8, at Fellowship cemetery, with Bros. Bobby Neal and Gary Welch officiating, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Nashville.
Jerry Shope
Jerry L. Shope, age 71 of Bryant, Arkansas died Thursday morning after a short illness. He was born in Okolona, Arkansas and was a retired paint salesman and an avid fisherman.
He is survived by his wife, Frances Dixon Shope, one sister, Fairy Lee May of Delight, Arkansas and a brother, John Shope, Jr. of Hot Springs, Arkansas.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 2, at Latimer Funeral Home in Murfreesboro with burial in Delight cemetery.
Family visitation is Friday 6 - 8:00 p.m.. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Eunice Mae Roberson
Eunice Mae Roberson, 89, of Waldo, AR died Sunday, March 27, 2005.
She was born August 20, 1915, at Nathan, AR, the daughter of the late Jasper and Martha White Floyd. She was a retired Administration Clerk after 30 + years of service with Center Point Energy formerly Houston Lighting and Power Co.in Pasadena, TX. She attended Mt. Vernon Community Church in Waldo, AR.
Ms. Roberson was preceded in death by her only son, Bob W. “Rock” Roberson, two sisters Ruby Faye Strasner and Georgia Ellis, and one brother, Marvin Floyd.
She is survived by one daughter-in-law, Sharon Roberson of Waldo, AR: two grandsons, Sam Roberson and wife, Dee, of Pasadena, TX and Michael Wade Roberson and wife, Amy, of Hot Springs, AR; two granddaughters, Sheryl Brackett and husband, Todd, of Waldo, AR and Lisa Dixon and husband, Mark, of Tyler, TX; ten great-grandchildren; two nephews, Thomas Strasner of Nathan, AR and Steve Strasner of Russellville, AR and a host of friends.
Graveside services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M., Tuesay, March 29, at Biggs Chapel cemetery, with Floyd Clark, Jr. officiating, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Nashville.

Carrie McJunkins Cannon
Carrie McJunkins Cannon, age 91, passed away Friday, March 25, 2005. She was born in Saratoga, Arkansas on June 5, 1913, and resided there all of her life. She graduated from Saratoga High School and was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ and a founding member of the Southside Church of Christ, Saratoga.
She was predeceased by her husband, Foster Cannon, her parents, Susie and William McJunkins, three brothers, Herbert, Fred and Loyd McJunkins, and one sister, Audrey McJunkins Spates. She is survived by two daughters, Margie Guinzy of Dallas, TX, and Judy Cannon of Saratoga, four granddaughters, Kathy Wayne and Laurie Jackson of Dallas, TX, Lisa Jackson of Little Rock, and Dana Webb of Columbus, six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Graveside services are 1:00 P.M., Monday, March 28, 2005 at Saratoga cemetery, with Gary Shaver officiating. Arrangements are by Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville.
Betty White
Betty “Betsy” White, 58, of Murfreesboro, died Sunday, March 20, 2005, at her home. She was born June 17, 1946, at Dixon, Illinois, the daughter of the late Truman and Katherine Hertzner Onley.
She was a Methodist, and manager at EZ Mart. She has been a resident of Murfreesboro for over 40 years.
Mrs. White was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Jerry Onley.
Survivors include her husband Forest “Shorty” White of Murfreesboro, AR; two sons Carl and wife D’Ann Rogers of Nashville, AR, and Timmy and wife Chaughn Rogers of Murfreesboro, AR; two brothers Gene Onley of Rockford, IL and Jim Onley of Rockford, IL; five grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, March 22, at Latimer Funeral Home, Murfreesboro, with Rev. Troy Carroll officiating, burial in Valley Grove cemetery, Kirby, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Murfreesboro.
India Marie Brooking
India Marie Brooking, 82, of Murfreesboro, died Tuesday, May 3, 2005, at a Murfreesboro hospital. She was born February 25, 1923, at Kirby, AR, the daughter of the late Sanford Laney and Florence Faulkner Funderburk. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Murfreesboro, where she was a member of the women’s Sunday School Class. Mrs. Brooking retired from Pike County Hospital in Murfreesboro.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bennie Brooking.
She is survived by a step-daughter, Bennie Jean Shankle of El Dorado, AR; a special niece, Dorothy Garrett of Okolona, AR; four grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, twenty-four great-great grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces.
Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Thursday, May 5, at Latimer Funeral Home Chapel, Murfreesboro, with Pastor Lee Walker officiating, burial in Pleasant Home cemetery, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Murfreesboro.

Abby Danielle Patterson, Infant, of Murfreesboro, AR. passed away on April 27, 2005. She was the daughter of Jeremy Daniel and Amanda Ellen Watson Patterson.
Survivors include her father Jeremy Daniel Patterson and her mother Amanda Ellen Watson Patterson both of Nathan, AR. One brother Colton Dale Patterson of Nathan, AR; Maternal Grandparents Larry and Eva Watson of Murfreesboro, AR; Paternal Grandparents Johnny and Vicki Patterson of Murfreesboro, AR; Maternal Great-Grandparents Olan and Johnie Watson of Murfreesboro, AR.
She is preceded in death by Clio and Paul Fain; Ted and Ruth Lambert; and C.D. Cushion.
Graveside Services will be 1:30 P.M. Sunday, May 1, 2005 at Academy cemetery in Nathan, AR., with Randy Hughes officiating. Under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home.
Daphna Fugitt
Daphna Fugitt, 86, of Murfreesboro, died Sunday, April 24, 2005, at a Murfreesboro hospital. She was born May 26, 1918, at Billstown, AR, the daughter of the late Roland and Emily Thomasson Beaty.
She was a homemaker; a member of Murfreesboro Church of Christ. She was a devoted Christian, loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a good cook, loved to wear hats and loved to talk on the telephone and keep in touch with all of her loved ones. She never met a stranger and her home was open to everyone.
Mrs. Fugitt was preceded in death by her husband, Willie O. Fugitt; two children, Shirley Fugitt Goodgame, who died in 1976 and Willie O. Fugitt, Jr., who died in 2001; and three brothers, Harold, Orville and Gene Beaty.
She is survived by one son, Jerry Fugitt of Murfreesboro, AR; two daughters, Maye Gnell Davis and husband, Noel, Jr. of Nashville, AR and Janice Ramage and husband, Phil, of Nashville, AR; eleven grandchildren, Sheree McKinnon, Karen Bean, J.J. Jones, Sissi Coker, Skipper Davis, Misty Kizzia, Phillip Ramage, Holly Ramage, Leslie Allmon, Jeremy Fugitt and Brittany Fugitt; fourteen great-grandchildren and a host of friends.
Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, April 27, at Murfreesboro Church of Christ, with Mr. Tommy Mounts officiating, burial in Japany cemetery, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Murfreesboro.
The family will receive friends at Latimer Funeral Home, Murfreesboro, Tuesday, April 26, from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M.

Patricia Florence Simpson
Patricia Florence Simpson, age 46, of Nashville, Arkansas, died Friday, April 22, 2005 in a Texarkana Hospital. She was born August 14, 1958, in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of the late Jack Donald and June Elizabeth Rowe Simpson. She joined True Faith Holiness Church of God in Christ on October 31, 2004. She attended faithly until her health failed her. She was in the Air Force at age 19. She attended college. She moved to Arkansas 4 years ago to live with her sister, Michelle Bulliner.
Survivors include her son Maurice Monroe of Washington, D.C.; her daughter Coqueise G. Hayden of Gardena, California; 2 brothers Martyn Donald Simpson, and Jack Donald Simpson, Jr. of California and 3 sisters Michelle Bulliner of Nashville, Coqueise Ann Simpson of Gardena, California and Felicia Simpson of Nashville, special friend, Sharon Weatherspoon, Lee Aurdy and Ruthi Ann Scroggins. A memorial service will be held 3:00 P.M. Saturday, April 30, 2005 at True Faith Holiness Church of God in Christ at 124 E. 2nd Street, Hope, AR.
