Edward Dale Hamilton

Edward Dale Hamilton, age 72, of Nashville, AR, died March 17, 2008, at a Little Rock, AR hospital. He was born March 13, 1936, in Mineral Springs, AR, the son of the late Milo and Lona Carey Hamilton.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents.
He attended Nashville High School and later attended Henderson State University and pursued a degree in accounting. He was selected in Who’s Who Among American College Students, and was a member of Sigma Tau Gamma and the Reddies Band. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, where he served as a Sunday School Teacher; served in the National Guard; was past president of the Nashville Chamber of Commerce and the original Nashville Jaycees. He was also a former president of the Rotary Club. He was a master Mason and Worshipful Master of Pleasant Valley Lodge. He was past president of the Shriners and member of the Eastern Star.
In 1950 he began his life long career as a shoe salesman and he and Shirley purchased Quality Shoe Store in 1973, where he made an art of dyeing and selling shoes for over 50 years.
Dale is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Shirley, one son, Jim Hamilton and wife Susan, of Nashville, AR; one granddaughter, Shea Caldwell and husband Kurt, of Murfreesboro, AR, one grandson, Trace Hamilton; a number of nieces, nephews and many life long friend.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Activity Building at Immanuel Baptist Church, P.O. Box 212, Nashville, AR 71852.
Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Thursday, March 20, 2008, at Immanuel Baptist Church, with burial in Restland Memorial Park. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 P.M. Wednesday at Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville.
Mary Eddie (Wilson) Lamb

Mary Eddie (Wilson) Lamb, 83, of Delight, AR, died peacefully at a Texarkana hospital surrounded by her family on Sunday, March 16, 2008. She was born July 4, 1924, the daughter of the late Edgar and Nora (Gilleyen) Wilson. She was an active member of the Delight Church of Christ. .
She was preceded in death by her father, Edgar Wilson; her mother, Nora Wilson; and three brothers, Jim, Joe and Hercel Wilson.
She is survived by her husband, of 68 years, Laymon Lamb of Delight, AR; two sons Tommy Lamb and wife, Floy, Jerry Lamb and wife, Henrietta, all of Delight, AR; one daughter, Cheryl Roberts and husband, Jerry, of Murfreesboro, AR; four grandsons, Tim, Reggie and Jason Lamb and Todd Roberts; nine granddaughters, Jenny Lou and Jerri Lynn Lamb, Jana Snowden, Holly Eoff, Tammy Kinley, Saniessa Lamb, Kristie Hill, Tara Roberts and Lacy Roberts; eighteen great-grandchildren; three sisters, Lavern Johnson, Eloise Cotton and Sue Johnson; many loving nieces and nephews; and a host of relatives and friends.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew her..
The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Tuesday, March 18, from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M.
Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, March 19, at Delight Church of Christ, with Wallace Alexander, Randy Hughes and Sid Smith, burial in Delight cemetery, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Murfreesboro.

Mary Jo Parks, age 86, of Nashville, Arkansas, died Saturday, March 15, 2008, at a local hospital.
Mrs. Parks was born April 22, 1921, in Sheridan, AR, the daughter of the late Edward Isacc and Nola Rippy Shepherd.
She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and a homemaker.
Mrs. Parks was preceded in death by her husband Elmer (Parkie) Parks, and a sister Edwina Tullous.
Survivors include two sons, Woody L Parks and wife Jeanette of Bakersfield, CA; Tommy Parks and wife Delores of Bossier City, LA; two daughters Patty Jo Beckwith and husband Richard of Greene, NY; Cindy Coplin and husband Larry of Nashville, AR; one brother Hosa Lee Shepherd and wife Barbara of Russellville, AR; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren., also special friends Billy, Amber, and Wayne Macks.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1:30 P.M, Tuesday, March 18, at the Latimer Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Glen Green officiating. Under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home.

Edward Lewis “Son” Schooley

Edward Lewis “Son” Schooley, 86, of Mineral Springs, died Thursday, March 13, 2008, at a Nashville hospital. He was born February 12, 1922, in Mineral Springs, AR, the son of the late Dillard and Carrie Gant Schooley.
He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. He was a farmer.
Mr. Schooley was preceded in death by his wife, Erma Lois Schooley and one sister, Hilma Hunt.
He is survived by one daughter, Sharlotte Fisk of Mineral Springs, AR; and three grandchildren, Randy Teague and wife, Teresa, Keith Teague and wife, Keri and Katelyn Teague; four great-grandchildren, Samantha and Lorelei Teague, Taylor and Justin Teague and one nephew, Larry Hunt and a host of friends.
Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Sunday, March 16, at Latimer Funeral Home Chapel, with Tim Freel, Jr. and Keith Mays officiating, burial in Liberty cemetery, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Nashville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Liberty cemetery or Howard County Children’s Center.

Delbert Johnson

Delbert Garland Johnson, 71, of Nashville, died Thursday, July 31, 2008 in Little Rock.
He was born February 12, 1937, at McCaskill, AR, the son of the late Oscar and Rosa Lively Mims, at 8 years of age he was adopted by Walter and Jimmie Johnson
Today we put to rest a Husband, Father and friend that was loved and will be missed. His memory will be with us until we meet him again in Heaven. He is survived by his wife, Sonja Johnson, his children, Tammy Martindale, James Johnson, Billy Ray Johnson, David Johnson, Debbie Johnson and Sandra Johnson; daughters-in-law, Nicol Johnson and Crystal Johnson; nieces and nephews, Gladine Bennett and family, Jerry and Polly McCammack, Bobby Joe and Sherry Chambers and Gary English; many nieces and nephews that he loved dearly, grandchildren, Jonathon Martindale, Greg Martindale, Lathan Fink, Hunter Johnson, Tanner Johnson, Jeremiah Johnson, Chastin Johnson, Jacob Johnson, Corina Johnson, Tyler Davis and Kayla Johnson.
Mr. Johnson was retired from State of Arkansas Teachers Association Carpentry Program and was a retired Navy Veteran. He was a member of Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church and VFW of Hope, AR.
Services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M., Saturday, August 2, 2008 at Union Grove Baptist Church in Blevins. Burial will follow in Union Grove cemetery under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, August 1, from 3:00 – 8:00 P.M.
Loretta Waleszonia German

Mrs. Loretta Waleszonia German, 81 of Jonesboro, died Sunday morning at St. Bernard’s Medical Center in Jonesboro. Mrs. German was born in Roy, Ark., and had lived in Jonesboro for a short time moving there from Murfreesboro. She was a retired Lab Tech, a member of the Eastern Star, and a member of the First Baptist Church in Murfreesboro. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Leo Waleszonia and her second husband, Carl “Si” German; three sisters and two brothers.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Tom and Keena Waleszonia of Jonesboro, and Joe and Carol Waleszonia of Trumann; two daughters and sons-in-law, Ruth Ann and Bobby Pritchard of Gurdon, AR., Cathy and Mike Sedlacek of Littlerock, CA., and one step-daughter and step-son-in-law, Shelly and Carl Rogers of Redlands, CA.; one brother and sister-in-law, Doy and Dot Duncan of Heber Springs, AR; 17 Grandchildren and 21 Great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday morning August 1, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Murfreesboro with Rev. Lee Walker and Freeman Henderson officiating. Burial will follow in the Pinecrest cemetery in Little Rock with Latimer Funeral Home of Murfreesboro in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be Thursday July 30, 2008 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Latimer Funeral Home Murfreesboro.
Pallbearers will be Brian Cohoon, Brent Cohoon, Jody Waleszonia, John Waleszonia, Kevin Sedlacek, and Steven Sedlacek.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dick Lewallen, Jim O’Neal, Les O’Neal, Mark Duncan, Robert Duncan, Deacons of the First Baptist Church of Murfreesboro and the Homemakers Sunday School Class.

Jackie Ray Lamb

Jackie Ray Lamb, 55, of Delight, died Saturday, July 26, 2008 at an Arkadelphia hospital. He was born November 8, 1952, at Nashville, AR, the son of Curtis and Betty Brown Lamb.
Mr. Lamb was a member of the Billstown Church of Christ, a logger, and also loved his horses, and raising longhorn cattle.
He was preceded in death by his father Curtis Lamb.
Survivors included his wife Debbie Lamb of Delight, AR; one son Shannon and wife Amanda Lamb of Delight, AR; two daughters Sherry and husband Chris Frazier of Delight, AR; and Breana Lamb of Arkadelphia, AR; his mother, Betty Lamb of Delight, AR, one brother Rodney Lamb of Delight, AR; one sister Brenda Frazier of Arkadelphia, AR; two grandsons, Dawson Frazier, and Weston Lamb.
Services will be 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, July 29, at the Delight Church of Christ with Wallace Alexander and Sid Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Delight cemetery under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home – Murfreesboro.
Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Monday July 28, at the funeral home.
